About Nigel Scandrett
The Scandrett family consist of Nigel and Jackie with children John (25) and Stuart (19). We have visited the Algarve and Spain on numerous occasions for family and golf holidays. The climate is the key. Much warmer than the South of France and guaranteed sunshine most of the year. We have a high standard of living in the UK and were looking for something with a 'wow' factor that ticked most of the boxes similar to what we enjoy in the UK, albeit smaller. In 'Casa Poco Loco' (Spain - Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence 2014) and 'Casa Sirrah' (Algarve) we found it. Locations so close to the beach and the nearby proximity of golf, supermarkets, shops, restaurants and bars were key factors. Not typical rental properties. Everything designed to the highest standard - yours to enjoy!

Wonderful week in this spacious well located property. Loved it so much we are going back next year. Didn’t win at table tennis due to overly competitive husband! Might leave him at home next time. So many fabulous restaurants to choose from and a walk to Cala along the boardwalk. Roll on next year!

Very well equipped villa with fantastic views
We had a really enjoyable 9 night stay at Casa Poco Loco. The villa is clean, very spacious and well equipped. The outdoor space really made our holiday, the pool and jacuzzi were cleaned regularly and the outdoor kitchen was a real bonus (no trekking back in to the villa when you wanted a drink or ice cream). The villa has stunning views down to the sea which can be taken advantage of from numerous points both inside and out. We wouldn't hesitate to return in the future.
Villa with a view
Perched near the top of the hill that overlooks the Riviera del Sol, Casa Poco Loco is without doubt a villa with a view. Facing South West towards the African coast and Gibraltar the views are superb, the sunsets spectacular. Feeling stressed? Just sit on the balustraded terrace at sunset while sipping a cold white wine or gin and tonic, and contemplate the African continent and ships gliding slowly by as the sun goes down.The villa is a two story spacious holiday home. The ground floor consists of 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large outdoor terrace, a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, and an outdoor kitchen fitted with sinks, fridge, and a large gas barbecue for cooking. The upper floor consists of a small kitchen, a dining table, and a TV room in one large open plan space. The upper terrace, running the length of this room, makes a great place for breakfast outdoors. A second large tastefully decorated living room includes another dining space. A third bathroom is located near the front door. Both of the living spaces feature large sliding glass door windows, opening up the rooms to the light and the views. Most of the rooms have air-conditioning. Due to steps into the property, and within the property, this home is not suitable for wheelchairs or anyone with mobility problems. We were a party of four, and spent a month in the villa. We rented a car for the duration making life easier, but there are plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. It’s still far enough from the commercial centers to be quiet and peaceful. Parking outside the house is not a problem. For those who like walking there’s an excellent sea side boardwalk that meanders along the coast. If you get hungry or thirsty on your walk there are plenty of chiringuitos ( beach bars ) along the way. What better incentive for a bit of exercise than the prospect of a cold drink and a plate of tapas. There’s also a golf course in the vicinity, and table tennis in the house itself. The villa’s ample size creates a sense of uncluttered relaxation, and although we didn’t have children with us I’m sure they would love it there. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, were sorry to leave, and would definitely go back again. Amazing views - spacious and quiet - brilliant!
My wife and I stayed for a week in February, we were treated to spectacular sea views and amazing sunsets over the med.
The villa is very spacious and well presented, everything you need is provided, and plenty of space to relax. Pool area is nice and private and with the outside kitchen it would be the place you spend most of your time in the summer.
Shops and restaurants nearby, also close to the beach and boardwalk. Found a market near Lidl a couple of miles away on Wednesday which was great for bargains, no doubt everywhere is busier in peak summer.
Meet and greet with Elly was easy, and the journey from Malaga was only 30 minutes.
Nigel was very helpful with the booking, and was always prompt with his response.
All in all a fantastic place and great for a big family. be aware there are stairs so may not suit less mobile people but other than that can't fault it.
Lovely and relaxing
Lovely property with nothing to wish for on an elivatted position with the most stunning views up and down the coast. The sunsets were just awesome to watch while sat on one of the many balconies on an evening. Was a very relaxing time away and would recommend to anyone

Lovely Relaxing Villa
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this villa. It is perfect for 4 people and had ample room to relax over two levels. Very nice pool terrace area with lots of space for lounging around and a big enough pool to play pool games. Barbecue was excellent and dining table a lovely size and position for the evening. Lunchtime was best on the upper balcony. You could easily spend your whole time here, but Malaga city is a great visit and especially Grenada where we stayed a few days in a split holiday.
Nigel, the owner was very good to deal with and maintained excellent communications.
3 mins drive, 15 mins walk. Good sandy beach with two restaurants & bars. Interesting rocks and ability to go for long walks round headland.
25 mins from Malaga airport. 10 miles from Marbella centre. 20 mins drive to pretty Mijas village. Personally I would always hire a car and our welcoming pack/notes provide our recommendations for best value.
We recently discovered within a 5 min walk a small complex of a supermarket, a Pasta/Pizzeria, a traditional Spanish restaurant and a Steakhouse/Grill, bar, hair salon, international paper shop. David Beckham and family have frequented one of them so that may either encourage or disencourage you! A further more extensive range of supermarkets, shops, restaurants and bars are just at the bottom of the main road, 3 mins drive or 15 mins walk. But remember to get those views we are on a hill so you have to walk back! Take the car.
Booking Notes: Depending on how far in advance of the booking dates you book we normally ask for a 50% deposit (non-refundable) and the balance 6 weeks prior to the date. We send you out a booking pack which includes notes on the property and contact details of local services. We will not let to parties under 21 years of age and for 2018 we will be asking for a nominal returnable £250 deposit against damage, excessive cleaning bills etc. which is to be paid with your balance. You are met personally and seen out by our Managing Agents. Changeover Day: Would prefer Saturdays but out of the high season we will always try to be flexible. Notes on prices: For longer lets contact us for a deal. But please nothing more than 28 days. Through our first 5 years the bookings interest has been phenomenal. As the Marks & Spencer ad would say 'this is no ordinary villa', it is very high class accommodation in a great location.
