About Barbara Arthur
Porthcressa is a much loved family run holiday cottage, owned by twin sisters Claire and Sarah. It is lovingly looked after by our mother Barbara. It is full of family memories as this is where our father was born and where our great grandparents lived. It is now a place where we bring our own families to holiday and we take every chance to return to the beautiful village of Porthleven.
Why Barbara Arthur chose Porthleven
Porthcressa is situated in a quiet part of Porthleven and is just a few minutes from the harbour and the beach. We have made many friends through letting the cottage, as people who book it love it so much they return many times.

Amazing location and atmosphere.
We just loved staying in Porthcressa. The short walk to the pubs and shops and easy access to roads for other locations made it a holiday to remember.
Spotless and well equipped.
Lovely cottage right in the heart of Porthleven but in a quiet and peaceful spot. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped and the lovely cream tea on arrival was a really nice personal touch. Good sized parking space right outside and lovely garden to sit in.

We’ll be back!
Lovely cottage with parking and a pretty garden. We pushed the two 3’ single beds together which we preferred to sleeping in the double bed. The beds were very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen and having a separate dining room was useful when friends joined us for lunch. Barbara was very friendly and good at keeping in touch via email and a personal visit, we have provisionally booked for next year.
Thank you for taking the time to say that staying in Porthcressa made your holiday so successful and that you found the cottage well equiped and very pleasant. We welcome you back again next year!

The cottage is perfect, quiet and comfortable with everything you need supplied. Very tasteful decor and a lovely little garden although we didn't sit out as it was October. Porthleven is a lovely place to stay, lots of interesting shops and eateries and beautiful coastal walks straight from the cottage door.
