La Manga Club, Golf Bungalow 158 - Peaceful Location overlooking South Course

The Golf bungalows are situated next to the Hotel at the La Manga Club resort. There are two rows, set into the hillside, and they overlook the South golf course. They are accessible via gated access from the main road, so are completely free of all passing traffic. Short walk to the community swimming pool which is equipped with sunbeds and shades. Cushions for furniture provided. Free wi-fi included. There are two ensuite large bedrooms each with two matching single beds, which can be pulled together. There is a comfortable seasting longe are , and a TV viewing area.. A large glass dining table seats 6 comfortably.

We are English, and bought the bungalow on retirement in 2006. In the time we have owned the property, we have made many friends and never fail to get that buzz whenever we visit La manga Club.

Why Irene chose Cartagena - Mar Menor

We have been visiting la Manga club since 1996, and enjoy the location because of its fantastic sports facilities. In our case, we use the golf and tennis facilities, both of which are within walking distance of our property. In addition, there are some beautiful beaches, and a great range of bars and restaurants. There really is something for everyone here. We never tire of visiting La Manga Club

What makes this bungalow unique

The property is just two minutes walk from the fabulous five star La Manga Prince Felipe Hotel. Both the North and South Course 1st tees are a short distance away (no car required), and the Tennis centre is a 5 minute walk. The property is one of 36 similar properties in a gated community, which makes it secluded and secure. For those who enjoy a more active holiday, you can take advantage of discounted golf rates at La Manga Club, or if you just want to relax, we enjoy open views to the South Course and Lions Head mountain, and have our own community swimming pool.

Outside: The property overlooks the golf course and has beautifully tended gardens. There is a community swimming pool and there are sun loungers and palm umbrellas to provide sun shade. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Property will be clean upon arrival - exit clean is included in the price. One set of linen and bath towels are included in the price. For longer stays mid-term clean/changeover of linen/towels can be arranged but will be charged-please ask for details

Special interest holidays:

La Manga Club provides a tremendous range of sporting and leisure activities. The tennis centre has 28 courts, with a range of surfaces (LTA winter training base), paddle tennis, squash courts, gym and Crown Green Bowls. Coaching and academy courses provide high levels of teaching and competitions are held weekly. The five star spa offers a luxury environment in which to enjoy the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, and a full range of beauty and well being treatments. Other activities include, dance, horse riding, cricket, rugby, football, dancing, karate,and mountain biking. Water sports are available nearby. There is also an excellent Kids Club (0-12 years

Coast/Beach:

There is a small beach on La Manga Club (La Cala) with a wonderful seafood restaurant overlooking the sea and is accessible by car or by the courtesy bus arranged through the hotel. La Cala beach is a Mediterranean beach cove offering great swimming and snorkeling. There are many other beaches a short drive away, including the beautiful and popular Mar de Cristal, La Manga Mar Menor with its many sandy beaches.

Travel:

Murcia (San Javier) Airport (MJV) 30km / 30 minutes drive. Alicante (El Altet) Airport (ALC) 120km / 80 minutes drive. If you choose not to hire a car, airport transfers can be arranged. Our management company offer a collect and return service to the airports. Contact the owner for detailed prices.

Distances:

Los Belones is the nearest village (5 mins drive) with restaurants and shops. Cabo de Palos, a fishing village (10 mins drive) with a Marina and lots of good fish restaurants. Also on a Sunday morning you will find a huge market where you will find clothes, leather goods and fresh local produce and lots of bargains. The nearest city is Cartagena (20 mins drive) where you will find the old port, restaurants, shops (El Corte Ingles). Murcia (45 mins to 1 hour) good for sightseeing.

Further Details:

Bank & Cashpoint facilities are available on site. There are two small supermarket's in the Club one 5 minutes from the bungalow and the other in Bellaluz Square (both within walking distance from the bungalow) and a large one just off the main road in the club. If you leave the club and head towards Cabo de Palos you will see a sign for the supermarket 'Upper' – this is just off the motorway and sells a big variety of food, etc.

The resort has a dentist, a doctor and a chemist all on site. At the 5* Hotel La Manga Club Príncipe Felipe there is a Piano bar and is renowned for it's lively atmosphere. There is also a children's club run by qualified staff. There are 15 on site restaurants and a new 5 star spa. There is a small private beach with its own restaurant

La Manga Club manages over 20 restaurants and bars both within the hotel and around the resort. There are also many privately owned restaurants and several bars offering a wide variety of dining experiences: Mediterranean, Indian, South-East Asian, Mexican and Italian speciality restaurants, an American diner, tapas bar, traditional pubs, Deli-Café. For sports fans there are two club house bars on the golf courses as well as on course refreshment services and a welcoming snack bar at the tennis centre. The Piano Bar at the hotel offers nightly live entertainment. Children are made very welcome at the 30+ restaurants and bars within the resort, and of course in Spain generally. For those wanting to go a little further afield there are plenty of good restaurants within a short drive of the resort.

La Manga Club is a wonderful resort with plenty of facilities for both the very active and those that enjoy a more relaxing holiday reading a book and lying around the pool.

Booking Notes:
Bookings via transfer into a UK bank account with bank fees chargeable to renter. 20% deposit required to secure the booking, with balance payable 8 weeks before date of arrival. A damage deposit of GBP 200 is payable with the balance. This is required for any accidental breakages/damage and is returnable no later than 10 days after departure, after the property has been checked. Bookings for continental renters can be made in Euros.


Changeover Day:
Preferred changeover day is Saturday.

It is sometimes possible to leave later and occupy earlier, so please check with us prior to departure

Notes on prices:
There is a minimum of 4 nights for GBP400.00 except during July and August where minimum stay is one week.
