The area is one of the most beautiful in Southern Cyprus with a mountainous backdrop and miles of unspoiled beaches in the foreground. There is a lively growth of new shops and excellent tavernas serving fresh fish and delicious Greek food. Located on this quiet complex of just 16 houses, this lovely, comfortable town house has dining suite for alfresco dining. TV, DVD, CD, Gas BBQ, high quality linens/towels, crockery/cutlery and coffee maker. DVDs and CDs available for use during your stay. Strictly no smoking and no animals. Close to Polis Village and Latchi harbour and marina. Pomos Point and Harbour 15 minutes. Polis 2 minutes. Paphos 35 minutes. Limassol 1.5 hours. Nicossia 2.5 hours. Step outside directly onto the pool area. With just 16 houses it is always quiet with plenty of sun. Air conditioning and free WiFi are included in the rental.

Coast/Beach:

Polis beach is only 15 minutes walk from the house. Well known location for the summer sunsets where the enormous, glowing sun disappears into the sea within minutes of dropping from the sky. Polis Bay itself is stunning with the Akamas Peninsula and Baths of Aphrodite to the West of the house, approx 5 minutes drive away. Pomos Point and harbour to the East is approx 20 minutes drive away. All set with the backdrop of Paphos Forrest and mountains.

Travel:

Paphos Airport 45 mins. Car Hire or taxi from airport. Car hire not necessary at Polis Gardens though would need to walk for shopping etc. Two brand new large supermarkets have now opened in Polis, about 3 min walk away. Driving in Cyprus is the same as in the UK (on the left).

Distances:

Polis village is just a 3min walk away. Paphos Town approx 35km. Latchi Marina approx 4km. Baths of Aphrodite approx 6km. Pomos approx 8km.

Near to the village of Polis with its tavernas, restaurants, supermarkets and banks; The house offers an ideal base to explore the best side of Cyprus. Whether it's for a short holiday to sample the flavour of the 'unspoilt' Cyprus or for a longer break to escape the Northern European winter, a stay here will give you a holiday that you won't easily forget. This house has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard and one which reflects an attention to detail. It offers facilities which you would expect to find in the most expensive of properties, yet a stay here will not break the bank. From the large fridge-freezer and washing machine nothing has been left to chance. Polis Village nearest for large supermarket, lovely market square, patisseries, fruit markets, banks, ATM machines, chemists, internet cafes, cafe bars, tavernas, museum, garages. Papantonios and Orphanedies Supermarkets approx 2 minutes walk. St. Barbara Taverna (with internet access, large screen TV and sunbeds on the beach) is approx 10 minutes drive from the house. Cypriot owned, well known and recommended. Excellent Kleftiko and fresh caught fish. For the young and not so young!-Go karting centre 5 mins drive from the house. Pool/snooker tables and computer games at local tavernas in Argaka and Latchi, for DVD hire, go to Polis. Great location for exploring mountain villages and travelling inland to experience the local way of life. Many village festivals throughout the island such as the Agros Rose Festival and Limassol Wine Festival.

Notes on accommodation: Strictly non smoking. The free air-conditioning can also be used for heating in cooler months. There is private car parking in adjacent private car park. No pets allowed. A welcome pack with tea, coffee etc will be waiting for you on your arrival. Outside: Set in the lovely village of Polis, the house occupies an enviable position in a tranquil setting yet just a minute or two's stroll into the village. Watch the stunning sunsets whilst relaxing on the sun terrace surrounded by landscaped gardens. A large shared swimming pool is provided for the exercise fanatics amongst you, whilst a separate outdoor dining terrace provides for the full al-fresco experience, simply use the gas barbeque provided, alternatively just soak up the sun on the sun loungers provided. Front patio leads directly onto the pool area which is literally on your doorstep. Patio has outside furniture and gas barbecue. The communal pool has plenty of sun loungers. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels provided, property cleaned weekly. Beach towels included.

This is a great town house which is exactly as the photos depict. Very clean and with everything you need. The kitchen is particularly well stocked although we BBQ'd when we ate in. The booking and access arrangements were easy and though we had a couple of queries on arrival they were sorted out immediately. I would recommend paying the extra for the air conditioning, it was a must for us in September so would definitely be needed in the height of summer. The swimming pool was great for cooling off though and there were never more than a couple of people in it. Its a 10 minute stroll to the centre of Polis which has lots of restaurants selling traditional food to suit all pockets and open all hours. The fish mezze at Arsinals is particulary recommended as is the Watermill restaurant at Steni. Moustakalis restaurant in Polis seems to be popular but we had the worst meal of the week there so I would say try the other places first! All in all a great place, well situated for sightseeing if you have a car. We would definitely go back there.
