We had a lovely break at the cottage and went to Rowley's across the road twice as the food was really good. The noise from the busy road is an issue if you are a light sleeper and the parking space is extremely tight to get into.
Very nice property, clean and comfortable. Very convenient for Chatsworth and the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.
Perfect located and comfortable cottage.
This was a vey attractive property in the heart of the village. It was extremely comfortable and provided for all our needs. The interior was of a high standard throughout and it was well equipped. The location was perfect for exploring the National Park and Chatsworth.
Lovely cottage, beautiful area with lots to do.
We had a lovely stay at Tom's Cottage. The owners have put a lot of thought in to providing a compact but beautiful home for holidaying in, with everything that you would need. The cottage was beautifully presented and the bathrooms were particularly luxurious after a long day walking. There is so much to do in the area and Baslow is particularly well located for Chatsworth, Bakewell and the Blue John Cavern; with plenty of walks in the local area. The cottage is situated on the main road with heavy traffic both day and night, we weren't particularly disturbed by this, however, if you are a light sleeper this may be something you'd want to consider. We would really recommend this cottage.
Mother and daughter holiday 4 - 10 February 2019
Lovely cottage in a good location for Bakewell and Chatsworth, with lots of beautiful countryside and walks on the doorstep. Plenty of eateries in walking distance too. The one drawback (for me) was the traffic as it fronts on to a busy road, including plenty of passing HGVs! You do tend to get used to the noise during the day, however if you're a light sleeper as I am, then your sleep quality may suffer, as surprisingly there is passing traffic at all hours. Worth mentioning though that my daughter slept through it all.
