Very smart clean fully equipped ideally situated for Chatsworth House, Bakewell and Surrounding area
We enjoyed a week in Toms Cottage over Easter. It’s a very smart, clean and tidy fully equipped luxury property. We found a Thoughtful welcome pack and leaflets on what to do in the area upon arrival. Location is Ideally situated for Chatsworth House, Bakewell town and the beautiful surrounding countryside. The Only negative point is that it’s on a busy main road, but we where out a lot and it was quieter in the evenings and we just aren’t used to traffic where we live. This wouldn’t put me off booking Toms Cottage again as the property is outstanding.
19 - 23 Feb 2018 Fabulous Place
Just enjoyed 4 nights in Tom's Cottage. Even better than we expected, welcome gifts, lovely and warm, very cosy. Everything you could possibly need, all cooking utensils, crockery. Bedrooms tastefully decorated, beds very comfortable and the bathrooms were luxurious. Good location, visited several places and found very good restaurants in Baslow. Would definitely stay there again.
Had a great break in Tom's Cottage. It's well-equipped and cosy - our 11 and 13 year olds loved it. Great walk straight from house, as are lovely places to eat - no need to use car! Thank you for the flowers and wine etc. All in all a super place to spend a few days.
Another fabulous stay at this gorgeous cottage
This is a beautiful cottage in a fabulous area. Have stayed here twice now & love it
Amazing stay again !
Everything about it was brilliant . Chris next door is lovely, it was nice to catch-up with her again .
Comfy, bright and ideal for two couples
We had a great break at Tom's Cottage and highly recommend it. The cottage was bright and fresh, well equipped and very well laid out for such a small building.
The bedrooms were particularly comfortable. These are on separate floors, and each has a roomy en-suite with bath and walk-in shower, so the property really suited us (as two couples).
Other reviewers have mentioned that the stairs are narrow, and that there is constant traffic outside - neither of these turned out to be an issue for us. My husband has a knee problem but was ok with the short flight of stairs to the first floor bedroom. We were mainly in the living room for breakfast and in the evenings; the traffic only seemed busy in rush hour and didn't bother us at all.
Baslow is a lovely little place to stay and has pubs and restaurants in walking distance. Our favourite meal was in 'Charlie's' which was a stone's throw from the cottage.
It was easy to get to Christmas Markets at Chatsworth and Bakewell - both very busy as you'd expect but good fun.
We got the impression that Natasha, and Jo, take a real pleasure in providing a special place to stay, and that was appreciated.
