Clover Cottage is in a lovely village called Galmpton Nr Brixham. Drive or Walk to the beaches off the Brixham to Torquay road or to the Agatha Christies Estate for a days sight seeing. Greenway Quay is a further 10min walk to the River Dart. Take the ferry to the FBI pub/restaurant or crabbing on the Quay. Take a ferry up to the beautiful Dartmouth for food, drinks, shopping or just looking. From Dartmouth take the ferry to Totnes along the River Dart and the train back called "the round robin" Or hire a small boat and explore the River Dart.Further afield is a drive to Blackpool Sands for a day out or Salcombe about 1hr drive.

About Stephen Jones

We bought Clover Cottage in August 2011 and turned it into a 3 double bedroom family house.We use the cottage whenever we can during winter & summer months with our family & friends. The cottage is a fantastic base for us to visit all of the South Devon Coast & inland to Dartmoor. We have been visiting the Devon Coastline for 40 years on holidays. 15 years ago we found Galmpton & Dartmouth & the River Dart. Dartmouth is a very busy town especially in the summer months so when we found Galmpton which is a quiet village we decided to buy Clover Cottage.

Why Stephen Jones chose Torbay

We fell in love with Clover Cottage because of its location in the quiet village of Galmpton. The cottage is well placed for people who rent for walking to nearby towns and villages or driving and sightseeing. You can park your car and not use it again till you go home. There are plenty of walks depending how far you want to go. We always want to explore the River Dart and the cottage is 10min walk to the trail which can be followed for miles or take your car on the winding country roads.

What makes this cottage unique

Clover Cottage in Galmpton is very easy to find. Just off the A379 Torquay to Brixham main road. It has a parking place at the side and another in front of the house. Shops include a butchers, village stores, post office & hairdressers.

The Manor Inn / pub / restaurant / hotel is within 5 mins walk.

Fantastic cosy cottage in a peaceful quiet village, a great find! Very spacious inside with lovely comfy beds. Equipped with everything you would need. We had a fantastic week exploring all the seaside resorts that are on the doorstep. Would recommend.

Wonderful cottage full of character and very cosy

My family stayed at Clover Cottage in July 2017. We loved the cottage which was full of character and very well equipped. We particularly liked the fact that there were three double bedrooms and that we could take our dog. Galmpton is a lovely village and a great base to explore Torbay. We all enjoyed our stay and were sorry to leave.

Great summer holiday location

The cottage was lovely! It was very comfortable with easy access to all main South Devon locations and very comfortable beds to relax in once the touring was over. The local pub proved very handy on a couple of nights and is about 3 minutes walk, in fact there are 2 pub`s the second is within a 10 minutes walk, both serve very good food again very handy after a busy day. - great! The area is full of things to do (could have easily stayed longer). Great time had by all. Will definitely consider this location again. Spent a lot of time sightseeing, touring and generally ambling around as there is so much to do The weather for the week was unexpectedly very good with only half a day of rain but even this did not stop us getting about. The river cruise at Dartmouth is a must.

The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped and ideally situated for a choice of beaches, two national trust properties (one within a lovely 20 minute walk), beautiful coastal walks, the interesting towns of Totnes, Dartmouth and Torquay, steam trains and several sea or river boat trips. The village has an excellent shop/post office, a superb butcher and a lovely pub which also provides good food. The cottage has 3 double bedrooms which are of a good size but with only one bathroom and loo and the kitchen really not big enough for 6 I would say that 2 - 4 people are ideal, 6 might be a bit of a squeeze at times! The garden is small but ideal to sit out in and delightful. It was a perfect place for just my wife and I for a restful two week stay.

Our 6th time at this fantastic cottage

We always have a great time in Glampton, the cottage is well furnished and equipped but for us its all about location location location.

Good as a base to traveler from but also just a happy to stop in by the fire watching movies.

Super holiday home in an ideal spot.

Had a great winter break at the Cottage for half term. The owners have made it very cosy with a log fire, beautiful kitchen area comfy furnishings. Great pub along the way and a few minutes walk to the creek and the Ferry Boat Inn at Dittisham. Easy drive into Torbay or Dartmouth. We shall go again.
