About Corinne Littlewood
Jason and I have owned Tree lodge since 2007, it is our family holiday home, we love it and visit whenever we can. I have a busy worklife and family life. I am part of a big family with 3 sisters and to press we have 4 children between us. We enjoy famly time at the lodge and we find it a great getaway for adult time aswell. We are only just an hour away near Manchester. Myself and my sisters and our children go up whenever it is free, the rest of the time I spend doing jobs and keeping it just the way I like it, every year we have a project to keep it up to date. Enjoy Corinne x

Why Corinne Littlewood chose Windermere
The lakes are fantastic a different environment from the hustle and bustle of commercial life. Its the perfect break for us it is the equivalent of the dessert island in the unspoilt beautiful countryside of the lake district. Yet it is so near, only an hour for us. The lodge is situated in the prime of the Lakes you feel secluded but you have all the amenities/activities on your doorstep should you want them.
What makes this Cabin unique
We think it is the best plot on the site as it is so private and you forget you are on a holiday park it feels more like an individaul lake district retreat with just us and the national park on our doorstep.

Lovely log cabin, great size, outside needs a good clean
Log cabin lovely inside, has everything you need. The beds, bedding and pillows are super comfortable. The outside of the cabin needs a good clean, its covered in cobwebs and moss and whilst it is under a mass of trees, the leaves, cobwebs and moss look like it's been there a while so it does look a bit scruffy and unkempt. Unfortunately I booked this to take my elderly parents away for the weekend and as soon as I arrived I could see the weekend was going to be a struggle. Nowhere does it say this cabin is definitely not for people with walking difficulties (I believe it might do now since I've emailed the owner) but if you are disabled or unsteady on your feet this cabin is not for you. I had to lift my frail elderly mum up and down the stairs each time we went out. The bottom stair is huge and needs an extra step putting in. (Again hopefully this will be sorted as it went in my email to the owner). That said, it is a lovely cabin inside, its cozy, warm and homely on the inside. The bathrooms are lovely although the floor gets soaked in the main bathroom as the shower screen is tiny. You get towels which are great, even things like tea towels and washing up liquid and cleaning spray where left for use which was really useful as it was things we hadn't taken with us. Are there better cabins on this site, absolutely. This one is perfectly secluded and right at the back of the site away from the hustle and bustle if that's what you're looking for. I'm conscious this is a really mixed review because when you are inside the cabin it is like a completely different world compared to outside. This wasn't suitable for mine and my families needs and I'm disappointed that some of the detail is missing from the advert for this cabin but it certainly does have some good points too. I would probably book direct with Parkdean resorts next time as their cabins where cheaper and looked cleaner and some of them also had a hot tub.
The owner was really helpful. And the size is good. The location does mean it’s dark as under trees.
Whilst the facilities were all present and the owner communication was spot on. The cabin itself wasn’t great.
Due to the location under trees it clearly has a lot of water around and as such in some rooms you can see and all over can definitely smell the musty damp. I had to wash everything when home as the smell just clung to it all. The place is grubby and cleaning standards not great dust all along skirtings and behind beds.
Replacement windows for the sodden old ones is well overdue. It just didn’t feel clean, despite being dated and scruffy the cleanliness is absolutely key. I’ve stayed at many cabins on this park and this was my worst one.
The lodge is a great size there were 6 sharing and had plenty of room. It had everything we needed & it is in a quiet part of the site.you don't have to travel too far as there is lots to do nearby. We all enjoyed our stay & would be happy to book again. Thanks for a great place to stay.
Tree Lodge was great, warm and cosy with everything you would need to self cater, though we only did breakfast. The staff at the centre were very helpful and pleasant.Nice pool and a handy playground for our grandchildren. We really enjoyed our stay, and would like to go back.
Clean. Very well supplied. Lovely position.
I booked through your website. Bookin was 4pm and out was 11am. But we couldn't get in the property until 5 o'clock when we eventually got the code for entry. And before leaving. The cleaner turned up at 10am saying we should of vacated already. So we had lost two hours. A couple of issues. Toilet roll holder falling off the wall and radio was the same. BUT. The download app was supposed to gives us more information on WiFi and how to get the keys. But it gives us NO information at all. The property was lovely in its position and quiet. R.
Great place to stay and beautiful area
The property is very well equipped and clean. We had a wonderful week in the lodge that had all the facilities and equipment you would need, plus more.
The park is really good and caters for all ages (my 3 year old and 9 year old both really enjoyed themselves and had plenty to do). The entertainment passes are just £15 for all of the occupants of the lodge and are valid for the whole of your stay, great value for money and well worth it.
Would certainly recommend and we will be looking to stay again soon.
