About Nigel Hopes

I live in England with my wife, 2 children and 2 dogs. My wife and I are both partners within PWC. We spend most of our holidays in Portugal, where we have made many friends and have really fallen in love with the country.

We love the Algarve because of the fantastic facilities in the area. There are some beautiful, fairly unspoilt beaches and a great range of bars and restaurants. There really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible with Faro airport less than an hours drive away.

Less than 10 minutes walk to Salema and its beach.

Travel:

Faro airport is less than an hour's drive. Car hire is recommended so this unspoilt area of The Algarve can be explored.

Distances:

Less than 10 minutes walk to the fishing Village of Salema. The regional centre of Lagos is around a 15 minute drive. Good facilities and excellent for boat trips - dolphin viewing is a speciality.

Some of the best surfing beaches in Europe are some 20 minutes drive to the west.

Paradise!

Our 8th stay in this lovely villa and its wonderful location! Salema is the perfect place to recharge your batteries and to have a welcoming reception from the locals who greet you with such kindness. The View is a quiet and safe development and the village maintains it's character. Breakfast at Solmar and lunch at Atlantico - wonderful!

Amazing stay with great service

The property is in a great condition and we felt at home almost immediately. From the terrace you have a view of the sea and Salema is just 10 min walk away.

The cleaning service and the reception was immaculate. So were the rooms and bathrooms.

My family had a great time.

We truly recommend.

A wonderful property with a Sea View in Salema

The owner of the property was excellent and very accommodating. Everything worked perfectly. We spent a week at this property in Salema. It has the normal facilities - Wi-Fi , TV and BBQ. The property is well furnished and very comfortable - the bedrooms are on the ground floor with the lounge, diner and kitchen on the first floor - a very good layout. The kitchen facilities are excellent but in Salema you have some very good and reasonably priced restaurants such as Restaurante Lourenco. The pool area is less than 30 yards from the front door and it has the main pool and a smaller pool for youngsters. Loungers are readily available as are umbrellas to shade from the sun. Intermarche is 5 minutes drive away in Budens on the main road from Lagos to Sagres. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to this property especially if you enjoy a quieter time. Salema is still a fishing village with boats going out from the beach to fish just offshore and you can sample the catch in the restaurants later in the day. Salema has a lovely beach and in June it is relatively quiet.
