This beautiful trullo is a lovingly restored Trullo with 6 cones located in the lovely village of Coreggia approx 2km away from Alberobello, the capital of the Trulli. This village has everything you woiuld need to have an isolated relaxing holiday - a couple of Bars, Restaurants, Post Office, Butchers, General Store and Bakery., whilst being a 20 minute walk to Alberobello. Coreggia is a popular place for the discerning traveller and is popular with all generations, including older cycling groups.
The property has it's own 10m x 5m Pool, Bar area with sink and external fridges and freezer, Shaded areas, 3 Patios to have a quiet coffee in the morning sun, BBQ, Air Conditioning (including winter heating) and has Mosquito nets on all of the windows and most Doors.
The property is set in it's own olive grove with pear, cherry and oak trees and a pomegranate bush but is only a 5 minute gentle walk into the village.
The property is excellently restored to a high standard with 2 double bedrooms (1 with en-suite), 1 twin / double bedroom (with en-suite) and an additional double balcony bedroom, with another family bathroom (for use with the double and balcony bedrooms), a kitchen and another fire side room set in a trullo - just like days gone by.

The area is a fantastic place to base yourself to visit the popular sights of Puglia. The beach is approx a 15 minute drive away to Savalletri or Capitoli and is a 30 minute drive to Polignano al Mare where you can visit the Coastal caves and blue waters.
Locorotondo, Cisternino and Ostuni are also short drives to view the treasures they offer. Going north, Matera is bewitching and never ceases to captivate visitors.
We bought this property 13 years ago and spend a lot of time here - the people are so friendly and we have made some wonderful life long friends here - if you get time please go and visit Laura Leogrande at the Trattoria da Donato in Coreggia and you will be dining like a prince, with a superb wine collection and all at a very reasonable price.
They say you should never go back to the same place - we go back a minimum 4 times a year and it feels like 'home' - we hope you experience and enjoy this lovely trullo and place as much as we do

About Mr Stewart Rowlinson
Stewart, one of the owners lived in Italy 20 years ago and developed a love of the Country and the language - Puglia is where Stewart & Christine spent their honeymoon and they fell in love with this area, the people, the architecture and the food !!! We want you to enjoy this as much as we do .........
Mr Stewart Rowlinson purchased this Farmhouse in 2004
Why Mr Stewart Rowlinson chose Coreggia
We visited a bar and got talking to the owner and how beautiful the Trulli were - he took us across to the derelict property in the next field and we instantly fell in love with it, despite it's poor condition ! We visited many Trulli over the next few months (with return visits) and still couldn't get this property out of our heads and decided to buy and restore. Thjis took approx 3 years and we love our house and hope others will enjoy it as much as we do !!
What makes this Farmhouse unique
The majority of Truilli in the area are placed in areas that require car hire as a minimum to travel around the area to eat, drink and shop - our Trullo is placed in it's own private olive grove but within 5 / 10 mins walk to the village which makes it an ideal location for lazy holidays, with easy access to taxis which are very cheap. We have found that it is a lot cheaper to do this rather than have a car sat on the drive for the majority of the holiday. It is also very unusual to be able to sleep 8 people in a Trullo, without having to take up a living area - all bedrooms are private and with the 3 bathrooms make it really easy for getting ready to go out into worn of an evening (ladies love this !!) Minibus taxis into Alberobello - @ 10 to 15 euro return - seats 8 people

We had a wonderful stay at La Civetta,
The pool was very much apprieciated during the heatwave.
A wonderful 9 days staying at this unique property
I had a wonderful holiday at the Trullo, with my partner & our 2 adult children. A truly unique property with a home from home feel. The outside areas are fabulous, outside soft seating, 2 eating areas one by the BBQ another around the pool area. The pool, although very cold, was very refreshing & clean. There is a bar around the pool area with a fridge and freezer. The kitchen, although small has everything you need. The sofa in the living area was incredibly comfortable and large enough for the 4 of us to lounge about.
The wifi is excellent, the various music players are a great idea, there are loads of sockets which was very handy for charging all our gadgets. The mosquito nets were very effective. There is a smart TV, but we didn't turn it on instead we made use of the well stocked games cupboard. We had very hot weather, so made good use of all the shaded areas. The trullo is very cool and we didn't miss not having air conditioning. Plenty of towels & pool towels were provided. Very handy to have a washing machine, with 2 lines hung between trees to hang out your washing. The Trullo is an ideal base for exploring the many pretty villages and the coast near by.
We had a wonderful time and I would like to thank Christine & Stewart for lettings us rent their home.
Thankj you for your lively feedback on our property. We have responded to porevios guest comments to try to improve our property and it appears to have reesulted in an improved experience for our guests. Thanks for taking the time out to give us your feedback. Christine
We had a beautiful week.
The trulli were my family and it was almost heart-warming to live on this holiday.
Stewart has beautifully renovated the place!
We had a very memorable holiday ...and thank you for all!
We hope to return soon!
Anna Pino Nonna Tommaso... and also LUNA dog
We had a lovely stay and the weather was beautiful...very hot but made cooler by the pool which was fantastic and extremely well maintained. The floodlights were very useful and enabled us to eat on either of the two terraces at night.
The trullo and its grounds were enchanting, the olive groves very pretty and romantic.
We needed another fan due to the heat wave and this arrived promptly the next day by a very friendly electrician.
Lots to see and do in the area, we loved Cisternina, Monopoli and we found a lovely beach nearby.
We were quite a large group so the two fridges and huge pool freezer were great. A cafetiere and a few more serving bowls would have been useful.
I loved cooking and was delighted to find courgette flowers in both the local supermarkets, these are delicious stuffed and fried then served with ice cold prosseco!
We had a very memorable holiday ...and thank you for the delicious puglian wines!
Sarah, Mike,Rob, Maresha, Ian, Theo, Toby, Charlotte and Tom...who learnt to swim in your pool.
We are so pleased that you enjoyed our home and your holiday. We are glad that the fridges and freezers worked well for your group - they do help with a big group, particularly keeping the wine cool !
We will arrange some additional serving bowls and a cafetiere as these are good suggestions. Thank you for supplying feedback as this is really useful for us - we do hope you return - it seems that this holiday was ideal for your group !
Fantastic destination, the swimming pool and shaded terrace was a definite highlight of the holiday. The pool was an excellent size for the 8 of us and kept very clean. The trullo remained cool even though the temperature sometimes hit the 40s during the day. Many interesting evening excursions to Locorotondo, Martina Franca , Oustini and Alberobello. Simple but very tasty cuisine. The rep that greeted us and Stuart were both very helpful and attended promptly to any enquiries during our stay. An excellent choice.
Bethan, Thank you for your feedback - we are very pleased that you enjoyed not only our Trullo but also this fabulous region of Italy - we really appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback as we have recently extended the pool and shaded area......... you so obviously enjoyed Puglia !
Lovely trullo with super pool amid an olive grove
We had a very good stay at La Civetta and it was popular with both generations. The pool was a great success. We would certainly love to return.
We thought the layout was fine and enjoyed the relative privacy but also liked the fact that it was not too remote. We had an interesting afternoon with some neighbours who were harvesting peas from an adjoining field. Filippo told us he had lived there as a child. They offered us the chance to buy their field too!
Everything at your trullo was fine and when there was a problem Chris sorted it out very promptly and efficiently. (on arrival the hot water needed to be turned up and the wifi was not working at the start).
You cannot expect to have no criticism but the only one I can think of is that the loo seats on the older loos need repairing/replacing.
We thought the location was excellent - being so close to Alberobello is a great advantage and you are also not too far from the coast.
Thank you for providing such a lovely holiday home with such good service from Chris and Alison.
Thank you for your kind comments - we have now sorted the toilet seats and the wifi is now working perfectly (we had just had it installed). We are so pleased you enjoyed the location and it's surroundings - we love it !!
Special interest holidays:
