The apartment has one double bedroom, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living room with a double sofa bed. There are two small balconies from which you can enjoy breakfast from the famous pasteleria Piriquita next door, soak up the vibrant old town atmosphere, or sip a glass of local wine listening to the fado singers in the street below. Most of the attractions are within easy walking distance of the apartment, there is a frequent bus service to the more distant palaces and castles and central Lisbon is a short and inexpensive train ride away. Sintra is a great base to explore the region, with the excellent shopping and nightlife of Cascais and Estoril less than 15 minutes drive and the stunning beaches and renowned seafood restaurants of Guincho close at hand.
I always lived in Sintra my hometown where my family lives in a "quinta" from the 18th century.

The apartment in Sintra is situated in the heart of the centre historical town ( World Heritage Patrimony by UNESCO). You are next to the palace and you can visit castles and have a look at the lovely roads in this medieval small town. You can walk around without having a car and explore the lovely town and it surroundings.In Winter sightseeing or walking tours with or without guide can be arranged if planned in advance. The owner will be available for company on short excursions, or advice at no extra charge. English, Portuguese spoken. French, Spanish and Italian understood.
You may walk, without necessity of car and exploit comfortably the charming surroundings without stress and hustle. Just start the day with a coffee at the famous bakery “Piriquita”. Casa Sintra has 65 comfortable square meters, ideal for 2 people or 1 single. Living-room, Sleeping-room and kitchen all have direct views to the charming town-streets on leave-level of old trees. Charm and noble atmosphere are dominant. Lisbon, Cascais and Estoril can be reached by car, train or bus everyday. There is a tramline, which connects Sintra to Banzão (near Colares, famous for its excellent wine) and Praia das Maçãs, the best known beach on the Sintra coast line. It operates Friday to Sunday.

The owner, Inez, is absolutely a delight to work with. The apartment is very charming and has everything you could need for a comfortable visit to Sintra. Everything has been recently renovated. There are gorgeous views from every window. I hope to return!
We stayed 3 nights in Lisbon and took the train to Sintra and stayed for 4 nights. Sintra is like stepping into a fairy tale. Be sure to visit the castle and palaces and hike some of the numerous trails. The gardens are beautiful. While we were there we hired a taxi to take us on a drive to Cascai

There are several gardens and parks with the lush vegetation that is so typical for Sintra - and unique in the World. Due to its location, Sintra allows you to combine culturally stimulating holidays with peaceful village life, beach holidays, golf, surf or hiking.People can rent special electric bycicles to explore for themselves, the infinite charms of this magical part of the world.
