Townhouse in Scarborough, Yorkshire, England - Perfect location near to Beach And Town

Kings House is a Grade II Listed Townhouse with 6 double bedrooms (3 double and 3 twin rooms) and 4 bath/shower rooms with a large contemporary kitchen, separate dining room with seating area and table for up to 12, sitting room and a separate playroom/snug. Main lounge has large flatscreen TV with Sky Sports package via TalkTalk and Freeview. Snug/Playroom and master bedroom have flatscreen TVs with freeview. Secure attractive mediterranean style patio garden with raised seating area and table for 8, bench and small further table, 2 chairs and barbeque. House overlooks a small green. Guest parking permits for visitors who can park outside on a first come first served basis. Railway station is only a 5-10 minute walk away. House is close to several pubs, shops and restaurants and a short walk to the town centre, foreshore, Rotunda Museum and Stephen Joseph Theatre. Popular fishing village of Whitby is a 30 minute drive and the historic town of York an hour away. Beautiful North Yorks Moors National Park with great walks and scenery is on the edge of Scarborough itself. Crown Spa Hotel is 3 minutes' away and offers full spa facilities, massage etc - perfect for a ladies' pampering session. The house is not suitable for hen or stag groups or parties of exclusively young people ( under 25). Our changeover day is generally Friday (and we cannot be flexible on this in school holidays) so unfortunately any request for a 7 night booking to start on a Saturday for example is likely to be declined. Outside school holiday periods though we welcome short break bookings of 3 or 4 nights typically starting on a Friday or Monday. If you would like to book the house please provide some information on your booking request regarding your group e.g. family holiday/friends' reunion.

Small enclosed patio garden with steps leading to back gate and back access road. Secure area for your dog or child (but be aware of steepish steps). Attractively landscaped in a Mediterranean style with a large bench seat, concealed lighting and fountain. Raised area with teak table and 8 chairs. Small metal bistro table and 2 chairs outside the back door for your morning coffee! Charcoal barbeque available.

Though from Scarborough I now live in London but get back to the area often as we now own 3 holiday properties on the North Yorkshire coast. Scarborough is a wonderful town which has beautiful beaches as well as being on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

Why Anne Goode chose Scarborough

Though Ian is a Southerner born and bred, like me he's come to love Scarborough which offers everything you could wish for: great beaches and coastal walks, proximity to some fabulous countryside, lots of entertainment and the genuine friendliness of Yorkshire people. We wanted a character property in the town and believe we've found the perfect house which has plenty of space for people to holiday together but also have their own space. It's great to be able to walk to most places and not take the car out when you're on holiday and Scarborough now has some excellent restaurants as well as the world famous Stephen Joseph Theatre (where Alan Ayckbourn premières all his plays). a bustling harbour and small marina, some lovely golf courses and now, even Europe's largest Open Air Theatre.

Beautiful early Victorian house, well appointed and freshly decorated. Generous hosts, with things like car-parking, loo rolls, washing up liquid, tea towels etc. provided (this is very unusual). The house is arranged over 4 floors, so it keeps you fit and ready to deal with Scarborough’s steep hills and vertiginous steps. Over the past 20 odd years, this is one of the best houses we have rented. Jan 2012.

Spacious, well appointed and good location.

Visited for family celebration, 11 of us across 3 generations. House suited us perfectly. Very comfortable and well equipped. Loads of space. 10 mins walk to seafront and town centre. No problem parking outside the door.

NewYear & 50th Birthday Celebrations

The house was fantastic, spotlessly clean with loads of mugs as we like our cups of tea!!! And room for everyone! The PlayStation 2 was a big hit with the teenagers, twenty somethings and my husband too! We had the most wonderful time! All my family loved the house, great New Year & Birthday memories made, Thank you so much Anne! 😃

Beautiful house in a fantastic location (5 mins from the beach/seafront) very spacious property and very well equipped... there was 10 in our group and was plenty big enough.... very enjoyable weekend, 3 generations celebrating my mum’s 70th Birthday.... highly recommend this property, will definitely be returning... thank you.

Excellent Property in a Great Location

6 Adults, 5 Kids and a Dog. Family reunion to celebrate a Birthday. Layout of House allows all to gather together or do their own thing as well. Standard of fixtures and fittings was superb with plenty of essentials supplied. Scarborough has lots to keep all ages entertained. Great communications and service from Anne the owner. Would definitely return.

Booking Notes:
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the rental fee is payable on booking and the balance will be due 65 days before your stay. In the event you are booking your property in the 8 week period before your stay full payment will be required. A Breakage/Security Deposit of £100 will also be payable when you pay the final balance. This will be refunded to you on satisfactory inspection of the property within 2 weeks of your departure. Changeover Day:
Changeover day for 7 night bookings is generally Friday. With regret, requests to book 7 nights commencing on other arrival days other than Friday in any school holiday period are likely to be declined. Outside school holiday periods or periods designated as 7 night booking only periods 3 or 4 night short breaks may be requested and these generally commence on Fridays or Mondays. Arrival time is after 3.00 pm on first day of your booking and before 10.00 am on day of your departure

3/4 Night Breaks:

Where minimum stay is indicated as 3 nights it is possible to book a short break of 3 nights commencing on a Friday or Saturday or 4 nights commencing on a Monday or Tuesday and the cost will generally be approximately 75% of the weekly rental rate - please enquire with Owner for a confirmed quote.
