Apartment in Praia do Carvoeiro, Carvoeiro area, Western Algarve, Portugal - A Small Block Offering Spacious Accommodation For Couples Or Families

An apartment block offering spacious accommodation for couples or families. Having A communal large pool and children's pool, a walled garden with a grassed play area. This apartment block was built in 2001 and offers a large living & dining area with balcony with the added benefit of a private roof terrace with barbecue. A modern fitted kitchen consisting of cooker fridge/freezer and microwave. Leading from the hallway are the two spacious bedrooms. This accommodation is in a well sought after location, whilst close to all amenities it is very private and peaceful. The beach and village centre are only 250 meters away. The apartment is positioned on the ground floor, accessible by 4 internal steps and as such is not suitable for wheelchair access. Due to the elevation of the land to the rear of the apartment, the balcony off the lounge is not on the ground floor

•Review Submitted: 19-Jun-2013 We have again to Marks lovely apartment and this time it was even nicer as renovations had been carried out and some new furnishings and white goods added. The apartment is in an ideal location near to all the amenities but not noisy. It has everything you need for your holiday.

We hired a car and parking was no problem, we always managed to get a space.

Although a little early in the season to use the pool this time we have in past vists used it and although it is shared the other apartments do not seem to use it so we had a large private pool to urselves and this time even though we didn't use the pool the pool area is a nice option for sitting in the sun.

If you have not been to Carvoerio before you will have a pleasant surprise it is unspoilt but still with lots of restaurants, bars etc, The beach is lovely and there are some amazing cliff top walks to the many other lovely beaches along the coast. Be sure to but some oranges from the vender.

Notes on accommodation: The accommodation is furnished to a high standard. Very suitable for children of all ages. Due to the very low winter weekly tariff: - Utilities electricity and water are metered on arrival and departure and settled separately at the local rate. You’re winter warmer wood log burning fire is free, but the client must provide their own logs from the local supplier up the road. If the fire used you must clean and leave it in the same condition as went you arrived. There will be a charge by the management company for clean the fire if this is not done. Outside: Walled manicured gardens with a large shared pool not heated, providing a safe and private environment for guests 1 balcony with table and 6 chairs, a roof terrace with barbeque and Table 6 Chairs. For around the pool, there are sun loungers and sun beds with mats the mats are provided from the apartment, 2 sun parasols. Beach and pool toys are provided from the apartment theses are for the client use. Utility Room: Washing machine, iron, ironing board and travel cot. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Welcome pack can be provided if required on arrival. Maid cleaning is once weekly and on your departure. All bathroom towels provided and bedlinen provided. Towels and bedlinen changed weekly.

Perfect for our family holiday

The apartment was all we hoped for. Our party included 2 adults a 9 year old and a 5 year old. The location was great for us as was the pool. The property was well maintained, clean, comfortable and spacious. The balcony was a good size and we enjoyed bbqs on the roof terrace. Communication from the owner was very good. A really lovely family holiday. Very highly recommended x

Excellent, clean, spacious and well equipped apartment

We were very happy with our stay in Mark's beautiful apartment. It's in a great location in a quiet complex, close to restaurants and beach and just beside the municipal market where you can buy fresh fish, meat, fruit/veg. The apartment is well equipped for self catering; has great equipment for pool and beach; some nice dvds for chilling in the evening, especially Pirates of the Caribbean, my son loved that! The beds are extremely comfortable and so are the couches. The swimming pool is very clean, private and spacious, not many people seem to use it. Overall a very nice apartment which I would definitely recommend. There are no negatives.

Amazing stay

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mark and his apartment to anyone because it was so good. From the initial phone call, email exchange with all the details/tips given to us and finally, to our holidays everything was great. The apartment exceeded our expectations and it was literally like coming home-everything was provided for us. The place was very clean and everything you need for the stay including mattresses for the sun beds and toys for kids to play in the pool, was there. The swimming pool is great and although it's a communal one for all the apartments, we were pretty much on our own theremost of the time. The location of the apartment is great, close to all the shops, restaurants and Carvoeiro beach. Mark arranged a free bottle of wine for his guests in couple of local restaurants, which we took advantage of.

I'd recommend to hire a car like we did (free parking near the apartment), so we could see all the lovely beaches near Carvoeiro, go to Slide and Splash Park and the nearby Portimao with more lovely beaches.

Great location for our holiday

We stayed for a week 19th - 26th Sept 2016 at Mark's apartment. Booking the stay was no problem through Mark via email. All the info given was correct and apartment and facilities were as advertised.

This is our 4th visit to Carvoeiro and the apartment is spot on placement wise to be in walking distance of everything. There are plenty of steep hills around here so where this apt is you are no more than a 5 min walk to the beach and on the edge of Restaurant Hill so plenty of bars and restaurants en-route.

The apartment was well fitted for the 3 of us and suited our needs. As we were only there a week we ate out every night so can’t say how well the kitchen was equipped, but it seemed to have a lot of cups plate’s glasses etc. The roof terrace is up a couple of flights of stairs and has a brick bbq, table and chairs and is quite private.

The pool was just round the back of the apartment up a short hill in an enclosed garden and we practically had it to ourselves every day. Mark has his own sunbeds, mats and umbrella, so you would always have a bed even if it was to get packed.

Even in September the restaurants were very busy still and we made reservations earlier in the week for 2-3 places. We can recommend Elliotts, Happy’s, A Marisqueira, and Le Cro. We would have also liked to try Ele & Ela and A Gale but these were both fully booked. We enjoyed our meal at The Wolf steak restaurant but it was very pricey, and the fillet and T-bone my partner had in the smaller cheaper places was just as good. A Marisqueira did the best bbq sword fish, and Elliotts has really good fillet with peppercorn sauce. Well, safe to say you won’t go hungry in Carvoeiro!

We would definitely come back here again and stay at one of Marks apartments.

Lovely spacious apartment, walking distance to eve

We loved our stay in Carvoeiro the holiday in Carvoeiro was a great success, and the apartment met all our expectations. The apartment was everything we needed and is very clean and tidy (Very nice). We liked the large roof terrace where you could also barbecue. Located in a quiet street just around the corner from shops and restaurants and bars all within 2 minutes’ walk and the beach is only a 5 minutes’ walk away. There is no air con, but did not need it even in even in July, the apartment is cool and fans are provided free of charge in all rooms. Lots of places to eat and a nice touch to have a free bottle of wine arranged by Mark at local restaurants. In short, a must. Parking was absolutely fine near the apartment. The pool was well used by us and most of the time we had the sole use of it. We called Lisa on leaving Faro airport who met us on arrival at the apartment and was very friendly and informative.

Contact with the owner was very good. Mark was very helpful at all times (Thanks Mark and Lisa)

Carvoeiro is situated approx. 75km from Faro airport with easy access by Motorway. A small lively pretty village/beach resort, close to main town of Portimao. Good choice of bars and restaurants within walking distance of the town centre beach. Combination of old and new architecture.


Carvoeiro is a great resort for families who want lots of attractions to keep the little one’s occupied on holiday. It’s really close to the Zoomarine aquarium and zoo, Aqualand water park and Krazy World theme park. Silves 15-20 mins by car, the old Algarvian capital in Moorish times, is a must for all sightseers, the town, church and castle are seeped in history; there are also many fine shops and restaurants around.
