About Sarah Fain
My mom's uncle bought a neighboring property nearly sixty years ago. This stretch of Daisy Bay quickly became our family's favorite vacation spot, and as our neighbors aged or moved away, my mom purchased their cabins so we could host more family and friends in the most beautiful spot on the lake!
Sarah Fain purchased this Cabin in 2002

Enjoyed the cabin and lake
lake vermillion summer vacation
Had a great time. Fishing was a bit slow because of the mayfly hatch....but that is no reflection on the property owner. The cabin worked......loved the dock and boat lift. that worked well for us. Weather worked out well........absolutely beautiful lake! thank you
Enjoyed most of it
The property in nicely situated on the lake. We enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend installing a window AC unit. It got very hot some days and was uncomfortable to sleep at night. The cabin wasn't as clean as I would have liked. Other than that it was nice being on the lake. Sarah was wonderful to work with and very nice.
Simple Cabin, With a Great View
Nice clean little cabin with an awesome view. Everything you need!! Well stocked kitchen, great location. Everything that was promised.
Nice cabin, we really enjoyed the week up there, great amenities and view, also really liked having the boat lift, great time! Thanks
A true lake cabin
My family and I spent the 4th of July week at the cabin relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views of Lake Vermilion. The cabin was clean, well-stocked and had a lot of character to it. The square windows in the bedroom offered a nice breeze as did the two sliding doors off the lakeside deck.
The boat lift was a bonus and accommodated my 18’ Ranger Cherokee nicely. The cabin is located close to some great musky fishing spots. The first night we took a short cruise and within 15 cast I had a 45” musky in the figure eight. I caught most of my walleye on the trip straight across the bay near the island.
We were sad to leave and hope to come back in the future.
There are a ton of fun things to do in the Iron Range. From the Wolf Center to the Vince Shute Bear Sanctuary to the Sudan Iron Mine, to shopping on the main street in Ely. There are hiking trails and bike paths, golf courses, mini-golf, and more!
