Absolutely stunning sooooo relaxing!
This is a jewel of a property set in a stunningly beautiful part of Donegal. Add to that no TV no Wifi no internet what more could you ask for! This was an extremely relaxing holiday we really enjoyed ourselves so much. The view from the property was wonderful and the neighbours were so helpful. My sister and I were holidaying with our disabled husbands. Maureen Tony, and their family were so helpful even coming up with the one disablement aid we couldnt fit in the car!! Such a nice property in a really friendly place, We absolutely loved it!
Simple place in a lovely location
We had a lovely time, starting with a very warm welcome from Maureen & Tony. The bungalow is a very short walk from the local beach, where we saw all manner of life in the rock pools and enjoyed the peace. Around the corner & a 5 minute drive is Dooey beach where we also spent a lot of time and were lucky enough to see Dolphins. The headland is brilliant and the surrounding coastline spectacular. Dungloe is close with pubs and shops. The house itself is simple, sturdy and warm. The views out over the bay and out towards Mount Errigal are stunning. Perfect place to curl up with a book or two after time on the beach.
Thanks Jayne for your lovely review. It was great to meet you and your family. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and were lucky enough to see Dolphins ! Hope you had a great trip back and we would love to see you again.

Very good value for money
We meet Maureen and Tony at the local bar and it was like meeting old friends,They are very friendly. They took us to the cottage and the view over the inlet was to die for. The cottage was clean and comfortable beds. and the neighbour were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely go again. Everyone we meet in Ireland was very welcoming. The food and the staff at Gweebara bar was great. My wife and I both loved it.
It's lovely to get such positive feedback, we really appreciate it. Thank you for choosing our cottage. We would love to welcome you both again.

Great little house with lovely views.
We were a small group of cyclist that took part in the recent Ras Donegal cycling event which was based in Ardara, We found this charming little house a perfect retreat to fully relax and unwind in at the end of some pretty spectacular and grueling stages that we took part in over the weekend. Both Tony and Maureen were very helpful and met us on the main road on a wet and windy night to show us to the cottage. The cottage itself was very well kitted out with a lovely open fire and plenty of well furnished bedrooms. This is the perfect place to relax and I could not recommend it highly enough. A truley beautiful part of Ireland.
Thank you very much for your lovely comments. We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay and that your cycling break went well. Hope to see you all again soon. Maureen and Tony
just back from our stay at your gorgeous cottage. The grandchildren loved every minute of the holiday. We went to the small beach every day and the bigger beach about 5 minutes away in the car, perfect for long walks and paddling for the kids. The cottage was very clean and well maintained, with beautiful views out of the lounge window. The neighbours were very nice too telling us about the good restuarants in Dungloe (riverside bistro) the food was very good. We went down to the local pub Elliots bar about 5-10 minutes away in the car the owners were very friendly and allowed the kids to go in too. We stayed a week and could of stayed longer. The area is good for walking and is very quiet and off the beaten track, just what you need for a relaxing holiday. We will be back!
Thank you so much for your lovely review. Glad to hear that you enjoyed your holiday and found it relaxing. It was wonderful to meet you and your family. Thank you so much for being such wonderful guests, we'd love to welcome you back anytime.
Perfect place for a relaxing holiday
We have just returned from a week in this beautiful quiet area of Donegal. Very comfortable accommodation with superb views which can never fail to captivate. Reclining sofa placed by the picture window which looks out towards the little beach, sea and hills beyond. We could have spent all our time watching the changing scene as the tide went in and out, clouds formed in different patterns and sun set so dramatically. In fact we left the curtains open till midnight as it stays light for so long at this time of year. Equally lovely views all round the property with big windows making it very light. Good shower. The small kitchen area is well equipped. Heating great when needed and although we didn't light the fire, it would be cosy on a chilly evening. The beaches close by are fantastic. Lots of birds to spot including a resident cuckoo who delighted us with his courting displays on overhead wires. Also by the beach there were ringed plovers, common sand pipers, and probably warblers and pipits but our skill in distinguishing individual species needs to improve! If you can tear yourself away there is much to see in the surrounding area. We followed Maureen's tips and drove round to Crohy Head and to Glenveagh National Park. We also found the area round Portnoo very interesting but really whichever way you go there is wonderful scenery. We can also recommend the local garage Laughlin Motors, who were very helpful when we had some car trouble. Thanks Maureen for letting stay an extra night to sort everything out. Hope to be back to unwind again sometime!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review Jean. We are very glad that you enjoyed yourselves. I will pass on your kind words to Chris and Martin. It would be great to see you back again. Thank you for choosing to stay with us. Maureen and Tony.
