What a magical family vacation!
We traveled to Symi with a completely open mind about where we would land. Having spent time in Athens and several other Islands in the past, we were looking for a more local experience. As you sail into the magical Symi Port, you are greeted by an incredible Sunset and your gracious host meets you and accompanies you to her lovely home that has risen from the ruins of another time. Our advice is to rise each morning, enjoy your coffee on the rooftop and wander down the winding streets to the water taxi in the port and enjoy a different beach each day where a taverna awaits you. The home is spectacular and simple all at once. Our two boys still talk about the experience and we look forward to returning sooner than later.
