About Stefania Bellu e Marco Holm

I am proprietary of these 2 houses and I rent them.

My grandparents,Capo Coda Cavallo lands' owners untill 1960,have handed down to me their old memories of this wonderfull land .

At that time Capo Coda Cavallo was not turism yet and required fatigue and sweat to be worked.

Thanks to their passionate tales I feel to belong to this land and this is the greatest gift I have received from my grand parents.

The dearest image is the one of my grandmother who, each day, went on horseback up the cape bringing fresh water fount to my grandfather and to the workers engaged with him to build

the slab of the stone road that till to day hundreds of tourist run trought the summer.

Another memory handed on from my grandparents is that of a poor fisherman who, during the war, each summer with his boat and sons started from Ponza/Napoli and moored right in the Coda Cavallo's beach and remained here for 3 months during which bartered the catch with all the products of the earth and of pastoralism that my grandparents were producing, then, with this load of supplies back to Ponza to feed the rest of the family.

During those 3 months he lived in the boat in the wonderfull bay and my mother still a child playing with them and learning to know and seize all the fruits of that sea.

At that time Cala Paradiso was named Contrilati that means flat rocks, here I spent the summers of my childhood and I saw my childreen grow not alone as I was,but sorrounded by their peers on vacation in our houses.

I live in Florence where I came to study art,my husbnad is a professional yachtman,of Swidish origin, but sardinian adoption, taught me the pleasure to go sailing and be able to know my land looking from the sea.

Stefania Bellu e Marco Holm purchased this villa in 1988

amazing stay

  • 5 of 5

we were a group of seven people and had a lovely stay at Stefanias wonderful cottage C5.

First of all: Stefania did a great job. It was easy to book, she was kind, we were able to call her any time, she was flexible so that we could decide at what time to arrive and at what time to depart.

The cottage was awesome: We cooked every day, we had a barbecue, and we gathered together every evening on the wonderful patio to play games, drink wine and enjoy the view.

The lovely litte bays are just one minute by foot away, so every morning when the others were still a sleep I went swimming. The area has thousands of wonderful bays - every day we visited another one with our rented cars.

All in all: I totally recommend this cottage - it is a quiet area, the gardens are blooming, the bay ist directly next to the cottage, Stefania is very kind - we had an awesome stay!!!

Thank you very much, Stefania

Lovely greetings,

Iva, Anna, Finnie, Julia, Sophie, Chiara and Lea

CODA CAVALLO A holiday...

  • 5 of 5

A holiday that is hastily planned to a location off the beaten track and to a country with a foreign language, and to top it all very much out of season, one would imagine is a recipe for disaster.

Recently my family and I paid a visit to Sardinia, to be more exact, to a little village called Cala Paradiso located in Capo Coda Cavallo.

From the moment we were escorted to our house that was to be our home for the next seven days, we could not have been more surprised had we planned the holiday a year ago.

The home was quaint comfortable enough for a family of six not to be in anybody’s way with its beautiful gardens and a short walk to one of the various beaches you would want to spend the day at. The home had all the mod cons of today’s life style and was clean and well maintained and spacious. Stefania and her father Senior B were absolutely wonderful people and very helpful

They went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

The rates of the accommodation were pleasantly affordable and you did not feel like you were too close to your neighbours to invade your privacy.

The friendliness of the locals was over whelming to the point of being somewhat embarrassing. One evening we went to support one of the local pubs only to be told to help ourselves to what is available and leave the payment on the bar counter.

The scenery was spectacular from every point. We took a walk up to Punta Esta to a little cafe called Caffè del Mar and the owner and his son were the most pleasant people that we have ever met their hospitality was magnificent.

Unfortunately seven days does not last for ever and we reluctantly started on our trip home with enough memories to last us for a long time. I made a promise to myself to visit again and meet all my new made friends and visit the pubs and restaurants that made my stay such a wonderful experience.

  • 5 of 5

Capo Coda Cavallo is a unique place for scenic beauty and variety of the most beautiful beaches of Sardinia, and the ability to have a berth in the house just 150 m, makes the situation unique.

The house fits into this context with great respect for nature and enjoying the most of the peace, the tranquility and views of the sea and the island of Tavolara. A large picture window framing the view over the archipelago, the veranda furnished for dining outside, the garden and a large green space. They are the true heart of the home, which is internally decorated with care and with all the amenities. The house is located at the center of a group of five houses; no other buildings in front. There are three houses with different sizes and different prices, for 6 or 8 people.

The most beautiful beach of all is Brandinchi and you can walk to, is about 900/1000 m, Salina Bamba or port Coda Cavallo, Cala Suaraccia or Butterflies, Salinedda 600/700 m.
