Villa in Lindos, Rhodes, Greek Islands - Peaceful Location close to the sea and the best resorts in Rhodes.
We are a couple in our 40s who are working hard to one day retire to our house in Rhodes, making it our half time home. In the meantime we're sharing it with people like you and we hope will fall in love with Rhodes the same way we have.
Pete purchased this Villa in 2007
Why Pete chose Lindos
We fell in love with Greece after visiting Halikidiki in 1997 and have been visiting the Islands ever since. Of all the Greek Islands we visited it was Rhodes we were most enchanted with, in particular the picturesque village of Lindos. It will be a familiar story to those who have been there. You may not believe in the tales of healing or mental health effects that are said to benefit the island due to mystical properties, but you cannot deny it definitely has a certain mystique. As soon as I step off the plane onto the island the stress and daily humdrum of daily British life simply fades away.
What makes this Villa unique
The property is in a peaceful location with easy access to the main road. It's a great place to unwind and relax, taking life at completely different pace to back home. We spent a long time looking for a special location to purchase and believe we've succeeded, we hope you agree.

We have just spent 11 days at this great Villa situated between Pefkos and Lindos. We did not have a car so relied on the local bus service bans taxis. This was fine for us as we wanted to chill out most of the time and go out for meals in the evenings. The villa had everything we needed. Would highly recommend and we shall return. I would like to thank Pete the owner for his prompt answer to all our questions and also Paul and Sue, property management, who are great people who looked after us while we there and there. Thanks again
Just had a week in Peter's Villa, and can honestly say it is without doubt the best Villa we have stayed in Lindos, and we've been coming here for 28 years!!
It exceeded our expectations by a country mile, everything was spotless inside and out, spacious, pool was amazing, BBQ area was a fantastic feature, and got plenty of use!! The whole Villa layout from top to bottom was user friendly, and another big plus was the washing machine, don't load yourself up with loads of clothes, no need!! Washed in 15min, on the rack and dried in the sun in 20, spot on.
Also,an iron that worked!!
Really cannot recommend highly enough,
Paul, the maintenance guy, was extremely helpful, had an extensive knowledge of local amenities, and is a truly nice guy,
Whole experience was phenomenal, will deffo be looking to re book once we sort out next year's date,
Peter, your Villa is a real Gem👍👍
Excellent villa in a fab location!
Excellent villa, had everything that we needed. Little extras like travel plugs, towel clips, book selection are a nice touch. There are lots of nice seating areas outside. It was very peaceful sitting outside. The villa is nice and cool with air conditioning up and downstairs
Sue and Paul are a great couple that looked after the villa during our stay, they were very helpful, quick to answer any questions we had and gave us some great recommendations.
Fab location, in between Lindos and Pefkos, only a 5 minute taxi to either village. We didn’t hire a car, you don’t need one. Bus stop just outside, great air conditioned bus service.
Online food shopping from ABC is an excellent service - delivered to the villa before arrival and/or during your stay.
We had a great time and we would stay here again if we came back to Rhodes!
Great stay in Lindos
Great property in a lovely quiet location. Is quite a walk to Lindos but was do-able. Overall we had a fab holiday and the villa and pool were a great place to relax!
A lovely week of relaxation
We have just returned from a fab week in this lovely villa. It was spotless and had our ABC online grocery shop already put away for us after a late arrival thanks to Paul who maintains the property for the owners. The property is located in a quiet development but within walking distance to Lindos (25 mins max) so we didn’t feel the need to hire a car. The bus stop is 5 mins walk from the villa and they run very regularly (€1.80 to Lindos/Pefkos) and most evenings we got a taxi back for around €8 after dinner at some great restaurants.
We spent most days lazing around the pool as it was so peaceful but on one occasion walked to St Paul’s bay which was beautiful with crystal clear water and a fabulous restaurant where we had a long lunch admiring the views. The villa was very well equipped and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and we would recommend it to anyone who loves this area of Rhodes.
Wonderful Villa in a Great Location
We had a fabulous stay at the Villa. The location was excellent being halfway between Lindos and Pefkos, so you have amenities on your doorstep but the advantage of peace and quiet when you want it. The house was extremely well equipped with everything we needed for our two week stay. There was great communication with the owners beforehand who answered all of my questions, and once on Rhodes we had help if we needed it from the house keepers who really could not have been more helpful! They gave us some great tips about where to go and when, so it is definitely worth having a chat with them.
We are keen walkers and explorers and were curious whether we could get by without hiring a car, and the answer is a definite yes. For-like minded folk, there is a good bus service down the east (and west) side of the island which is reasonably priced and runs fairly often plus there is a stop just past the bottom of the driveway. Lindos is a very easy 20 - 25 minute walk along a safe footpath and well worth a few visits at different times of the day. Lindos does get busy, but it is surprising how easy it is to quickly loose the crowds down some lovely little side street.
All in all, we had a very good holiday and would happily return.
St Pauls bay at Lindos is a magical and popular place for couples to get married. The villa is a perfect romantic setting to prepare for your special day and honeymoon.
The beach is approx 10 mins walk down to the sea with beautiful clear seas. Both nearby Lindos and Pefkos have lovely family friendly beaches and clear waters. There are many other bays and beautiful sandy beaches with facilities around the island.
Finding your way around Rhodes is very easy as there are only a small number of main roads which pass by most areas of interest. I highly recommend hiring your own car to be able to fully appreciate the island and see the places of interest.
The airport is approx 40 mins away and costs around 70 euros by taxi. Taxis are plentiful and cheap. If you are averagely mobile on your feet it is a nice walk to walk into Lindos for dinner and then a simple taxi ride back (€5 ish).
Bus stops are close.
The World Heritage Site and picturesque village of Lindos, steeped in history with its famous Acropolis and its many shops, tavernas, roof top restaurants and bars is just 1600m (25 mins on foot) to the left.
The busy tourist resort of Pefkos is approx 2000m up the coastal road to the right. The capital of Rhodes town is around 45 mins away and is a highly recommended visit for the Old Town alone.
With over 300 days of sunshine a year, it is officially the sunniest place in Europe.
Acropolis - The original site of the 4th BC temple dedicated to the goddess Athena. The Acropolis is one of the most historic sites in Greece. You can reach it by foot or by a Lindos taxi (yes by donkey). It is open from 8.30am to 14.40pm daily except Mondays. Opening times are extended in the high season. It takes about 15 minutes to walk up the hill to the Acropolis.
Both Pefkos and Lindos offer something for everyone with numerous bars and restaurants to cater for all tastes. Many of the restaurants in Lindos have roof top tables which offer an unforgettable views and romantic settings. Greek cuisine is amongst the best in the world in my opinion - always fresh and tasty. We'll leave a list of our favourites in a local guide book at the Villa. Lindos to the left is easily walkable, taking just 25 mins at a normal pace. Pefkos isn't so easy to walk to due to the hill, but is the same distance as Lindos.
Nearby Lardos is also an excellent town to visit with many tavernas and the chance to experience a traditional Greek event. Another popular choice is to spend an evening the freshest fish and cool drinks along the seafront promenade of Haraki, a short drive or taxi ride away from the villa.
Visit the Folk Lore Museum in Lardos to get a unique understanding of how the island used to be with many local artefacts and interesting displays.
Banking machines are littered throughout all the local villages.
Shopping - there is a small shops in the Lindos Memories towards the beach. Pefkos has some larger supermarkets and Lindos is littered with many gift shops. Lardos has an excellent butcher, fruit and veg and fishmongers in a row.
