About Annabel and David Skinner
We are a family of 6 and divide our time between Wareham and Wimbledon. We love this house and the Purbecks and enjoy this area all year round from winter walks to sailing and swimming at our favourite beaches - Studland, Durdle Door and Man of War. The people here are so friendly and having local amenities and our large garden has made the house perfect for children and adults.
Annabel and David Skinner purchased this House in 2004

Grand and homely
Really great stay and more than enough space for everybody either together or in private. The house has a fantastic drawing room and the large kitchen is ideal for less formal gathering.
We stayed in February so it's worth knowing that you have to trust the heating - the top floors warm up quickly but be aware that the ground floor (especially the drawing room and games room) takes an hour or two to warm from a cold start, so don't panic. It is worth the wait.
So glad you enjoyed your stay, especially during that cold snap in February.
Hope you can come and visit again soon.
An amazing couple of nights. Gorgeous house with loads of character. Very central close to pubs etc
Great house with lots of character.
Glad you all enjoyed yourselves and hope to see you again soon.
Fabulous quirky house!!
What an amazing house! So much character & charm. So well equipped for every occasion.
Thank you David for accommodating us at such short notice after Delux Holidays in Dorset let us down on the day we were due to travel (would not recommend).
Hoping to be back to your perfect house in the near future 😊
So glad you all enjoyed yourselves and I am delighted we were able to provide you with room at the inn after your other cancellation!
Superb large, but cosy property in an excellent location.
The house was a lovely base for our half term break, very spacious allowing all the kids to enjoy themselves with hide and seek, whilst the adults relaxed by the fire in what is a very relaxed living space or in the kitchen cooking with the aga.
The house is located 1 min from the centre of Wareham which had some lovely independent shops and is within 20 minutes drive of Lulworth, Swanage or Corfe which each have plenty of places to see or things to do for the entire family.
The house is very well kitted out and We would all love to return for more family breaks in this lovely part of the UK.
So pleased you all enjoyed yourselves and hope you come and stay again!
Perfect location. Plenty of room for our 10 guests.
This is a house packed with character. The garden is lovely and the games room great fun. The log burning stove and aga make it warm and feel very cosy. It has a querky layout and perhaps is a little 'tired' in some of the décor but it's in such a fab location and is huge so these minor things were easily overlooked. Great spot for walks, shops, pubs and the coast. All in all, a great weekend in a great house.
Glad you enjoyed the house and Wareham.
A home from home
Thank you for the use of your home, we had a wonderful long weekend break. The house lived up to all expectations, Wareham was a delight and the whole area had lots to do for a group of age range one year to 76 years.
So pleased that you all enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon.
