Notes:
Isabel's Cottage is a traditional fisherman's cottage in the village of Winterton on Sea. The village has everything you'd need for a typical English seaside holiday - the beach is just a few minutes walk away with a cafe serving tea, coffee, lunches, & cakes which is open nearly all year round. There is also a good pub with wifi, fish & chip shop, post office and handy local convenience shop. Further amenities are available just down the road in Great Yarmouth. The beach at Winterton is particularly special, with sandy dunes and miles of wide open space. The sand dunes are a nature reserve classified as an area of outstanding natural beauty and is an ideal spot for bird watchers and walkers. Just north of Winterton, a colony of grey seals live and can be regularly seen basking on the beach or popping their heads above the waves. Sailing, kite surfing, and the Norfolk Broads are all near by, particularly notable is the National Wildlife Trust reserve at Hickling Broad. Spot the iconic lighthouse in Happisburgh, with its red and white stripes. Great care and attention has been paid during the recent renovation of the cottage and there are thoughtful touches throughout the cottage all which make a stylish and cosy place to stay anytime of the year. Please note, the stairs at the cottage are very steep, so may not be suitable for the elderly or very young.

Well kept, cosy, character cottage.

  • 4 of 5

Pros: Lovely little cottage with bags of character. Superb location for pub, fish and chips and of course the beach. It felt bright and clean. There was a good garden with seating and bbq. Comfy double bed.

Cons: Stairs are steep! No wifi.. but hey... you're on holiday!
