Clean, comfortable cottage in a lovely village within easy reach of many things to do.
Spacious enough for our 6 adults and 3 children and made perfect venue for family get together.
Exceptional Cottage !!!!
This property is really deceiving - doesn't look big enough to sleep 10 - although there were 8 adults in our group - but once you open the door you will be more than surprised. Lots of space, very clean, comfortable property. Wine and flowers on arrival which was a very nice touch. Villagers mostly friendly and the pub is around 50 yards away - food in there is lovely and the atmosphere in there is great !! Would not have any hesitation whatsoever in recommending this property.
Fabulous cottage with everything you need
We have just returned from a weekend away for my mothers birthday and we have had an amazing time. The cottage is spotless and has everything you could need for a stay home away from home. Rooms were big and airy and the area very pretty. The communication has been fabulous and even when a little mishap happened when we arrived it was dealt with immediately and without any problems. Would recommend this property to anybody. There are no shops in the village but we did go shopping before we arrived. There are local supermarkets about 15 minutes away so not a problem at all. We also used the Red Lion pub for some drinks and our meal for the birthday celebration and again fabulous food and service here too. Can't wait to return. Thanks to all
Great cottage and location
lovely spaceous cottage. Well equiped and welcoming
Exactly as advertised. We all thought the cottage is bigger than it looks in the photos. We fitted in easily with 6 adults and 7 children (under the age of 8). It was lovely and clean. I would definitely recommend.
Clean and well equipped.
Housekeeper Jo was welcoming and helpful. Cottage was very clean and well equipped, even down to little things like clips to use on packets. Beds comfy. Bathrooms very nice with good showers and plenty of hot water. Big fridge freezer - again very clean. I've never stayed in a cottage like this before and personally found some of the rooms a little 'cave like', but that is the style of the property and not a complaint. Cottage is well placed for travelling around. Ashbourne, a fairly big town, is nearby. Dovedale and Castleton are both within an hours drive and well worth a visit. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
