Marina Vista was built by my grandfather and has been enjoyed by the family ever since. Situated on a large elevated plot, with a large patio area to the front of the property, ideal for barbecues and enjoying the magnificent sea views. If the weather is unkind, the bungalow benefits from a log burner, is fully double glazed and is perfect for a cosy night in.
Polzeath has one of the best surfing beaches in the country, with golden sands, surf schools and rock pools, lifeguarded throughout the season. A number of restaurants and cafe's are situated around the beach perfect for snacks or evening meals whatever the weather! It is a popular holiday destination for Prince William, Prince Harry, as well as David Cameron.
Polzeath is situated on the North Coast of Cornwall. A five minute ferry ride from nearby Rock, will take you across the estuary to Padstow, where you can find Rick Stein’s Restaurants and many other places to eat and shop. Port Isaac is only 8 miles away and is the traditional fishing village made famous by the TV programme ‘Doc Martin' as is Tintagel where the legend of King Arthur lives on.
Nathan Outlaw's restaurant can be found in Rock and Jamie Oliver’s in Newquay. A bike ride along the stunning Camel Trail is a must. There are a number of golf courses in the area, including the renowned St. Enodoc. There is also sailing and water skiing on the Camel Estuary, windsurfing at Daymer Bay and the Eden Project is about 50 minutes away.
Marina Vista was built in 1934 by my granfather and we are the third generation of the family to own it. We have just totally refurbished it to a high contemporary standard for us to enjoy as a family as well as letting it to others. We have always loved Polzeath and never tire of the location or surrounding areas.
Polzeath beach is situated 300m from the property and is world famous for surfers. In Rock there is the Rock Sailing Club and Camel Ski School for water skiing etc. Amazing coastal walks along to Port Isaac and Tintagel beyond. The Camel Trail can be accessed by foot/bicycle in Padstow or Wadebridge and is a great way to enjoy the beautiful Camel estuary.
