Fantastic 3 bedroom 2 bathroom modern villa with roof solarium, large sun terrace and private 8m x 4m pool with large patio area and beautiful walled and gated mature gardens. Air-conditioning throughout, ceiling fans in 2 bedrooms and lounge and log burner. TV and internet available. Overlooking the Arroyo/valley with orange and lemon groves and almond trees close by.

The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower and his and hers sinks.

Adjoining the modern kitchen is a utility room with washing machine.

We bought the villa after falling in love with the peace and tranquility of the area and the relaxed pace of life. From the picturesque white villages, orange/lemon groves with the occasional farmer and donkey to the nearby beautiful beaches. We preferred the inland location as the coastal resorts can be busy in the summer months.

What makes this villa unique

The villa has all the mod cons required and has a truly stunning location with panoramic views. The only visitors might be the herd of goats grazing on the adjacent hillside. The nearby beaches and golf courses mean there is something for everybody.

Notes on accommodation: The property is fully air-conditioned and although suitable for all holiday makers, parents of young children should be aware of the dangers of unsupervised swimming pools. For the comfort of all our guests, the villa operates a strict no smoking no pets policy. Although electricity and gas are included in the price, a charge will be made for what we consider excessive use. A security deposit of £200 is required refundable within 7 days of end of rental. Outside:Main feature is the 8m x 4m private swimming pool with roman end, shower and non-slip tiling on the surrounding patio. The large covered terrace which is essential to escape the mid day sun has a large dining table and relaxing patio furniture. Gas BBQ. Mature gardens and attractive balustrade. Upstairs the 30m2 roof solarium offers a stunning location for those balmy evenings. Utility Room: Washing machine, sink and ironing board. There is a rotary drier for the garden and clothes will dry in an hour or two in the summer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bed linen are included and the villa is cleaned on changeover. Other: There is a garage and separate office with the property but these are not included in the let and will be inaccessible. The large roof solarium offers stunning panoramic views of the Andalusian countryside

Vera Playa

The closest coastal resort is Vera Playa within 25 minutes drive. The beaches of Mojacar Playa, San Juan de Los Terreros, Villaricos and Garrucha are 35-40 minutes drive.

Vera Playa has a long sandy beach with a Naturist section and Aquapark Vera Aquitico.

For those with very young children the beaches of San Juan de Los Terreros are ideal with numerous beach chiringuitos to choose from.

Villaricos and Garrucha have attractive marinas and local markets with fabulous fish restaurants.


The nearest airport is Almeria in the south which can be easily reached within an hour. To the north there is San Javier (Murcia) which is one hour 30 minutes drive and Alicantea straight 1 hour and 45 mins run on the E15 motorway. Grenada is a 2 hour drive. A car is essential to travel to and from the villa.


Arboleas village is a 5 minute drive away where there are local supermarkets, banks, butcher, baker, restaurants/bars and weekly market on a Saturday. Albox is a further 10 minute drive a busy market town with a wider choice of shops and restaurants and a Tuesday market. There is a local bar/restaurant 10-15 minutes walk away in the next hamlet.

Further Details:

There is a Spanish family run bar/restaurant in the next hamlet (Los Cojos) to the villa offering cooked meals and a friendly atmosphere to enjoy a glass of sangria on those warm summer evenings and only 10 minutes walk along the rambla.

For those with children there is the fun water park at Vera Playa and Mini Hollywood home of the Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns is an hour south towards Almeria. This theme park has a cowboy show, saloon and parrot show. Go Karting can be found in Garrucha.There is also a zoo and swimming pool in the summer months.

Closer to home in Arboleas is the Municipal pool open June to Sept with a large communal swimming pool if some company is required. There is also the 10 Pin Bowling alley Amigos.
