Built in 1861 by Isaac Ernest Hodgson; his initials IEH indelibly marked in the walls. The garden areas are separate but can be enjoyed together. The arrangements are flexible to suit guest needs - they can be rented separately or together. The open plan living room/kitchen is on the first floor to take advantage of the views across the Solway Firth and its sunsets. Grooms Cottage: semi detached cottage with Coach House. Grooms Cottage was built in 1806 as the stable block for the main house. It is recently renovated and is fully equipped. The living accommodation is upstairs (open plan wooden stairs) - to give you spectacular views across the Solway. The double and twin bedrooms are on the ground level along with the bathroom. The bathroom has a walk in shower (step down) and a washing machine - no bath. The garden space is around the back of the cottage - garden furniture is provided. The double bedroom has doors opening to the garden and upstairs there are doors to a small balcony and stairs to the garden.
