Great cottage but a bit tired

  • 4 of 5

The cottage was in a perfect location when we found it, ideal for a quick walk to the pub in Hope Cove and a longer walk to Salcombe, as well as driving around.

Only issue with the house is a few key items were missing such as sharp knives, scissors, matches for the BBQ etc and all the plates and bowls were chipped.

Great week

  • 4 of 5

Great location, cottage ideal for a family walking holiday or accessing the numerous beaches and sea side villages near by. Lack of phone signal is a frustration, but adequately covered by wifi technology. Walking along the local lanes can be scary, so high vis jackets would be useful. Food at the Hope & Anchor pub looked good, although we self catered for the week having a local Tesco delivery on arrival (recommended).

Cosy and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

Inkwell cottage was very cosy and as described. Really good beds and lovely views. We loved the sheep and hearing the owl at night! Only minor issue would be it is hard to find as it has no sign and there is no picture of the front of the property from the road, and one of the sofas kept having the main seating area sliding off! Otherwise lovely cottage, thank you.

very relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Very comfy and clean, everything you would want. Couldn't get the wifi working, and there was no phone reception. But if that's not a problem, then that good. Also there is no path to beach. Park and ride is the best bet, if you go into Salcomb, lovely place, but not a lot of parking in the town.

Thank you Andrew, very relaxed stay.

Lovely cottage in a great location.

  • 4 of 5

We had a very relaxing break with our kids. The cottage is very cosy, well equipped and clean with lovely views and very quiet, located in the best location as is just a short walk to a very nice and sandy beach, close to the towns and the Dartmoor National park. Lots things to do with the kids. Andy the owner was very friendly and easy to contact, always there to help.

Although the instructions to get to the cotagge were clear a picture of the entrance will be useful.

We definitely will come back and recommend it.
