In May, we had 3 tawny owls fledge in the pigeonnier. For the botanist, rare and wild flowers, including orchids, can be found in our wild flower meadows. For the more active there are many tracks for serious walkers and cyclists. We have half a dozen bikes(of the Famous Five variety - no charge), a football field with goalposts and a badminton net, table tennis, table football, boules and a dartboard. For history buffs, there are many plaques in the area relating to the Resistance and we have our own underground shaft where weapons and ammo were stored. We have a large lake stocked with carp and bream. Both trout fishing and an 18 hole golf course are within 1 mile.
