The property boasts a recently refurbished 10x5 m private pool and patio area with sea and mountain views, off road car parking, air conditioning, three speed ceiling fans in lounge area and all bedrooms including standing variable speed fans, TV, DVD player, I Pod docking station....bright and airy open plan lounge, dining room area A mid week maid service (at extra cost) is available for bookings over 7 days. The villa contains a booklet detailing local restaurants, attractions etc, further details can be provided by the local agent . Satellite TV and Internet is available at the villa and can be activated on request at a small additional weekly charge .

My wife (Sylvia) and I (Alistair) live in Aberdeen Scotland , we have two grown up children. We have owned the villa from new and our regular visitors to Cyprus (Peyia and Coral Bay) as we have family who live in Peyia on a permanent basis. We are familiar with all the local restaurants which we can recommend and we can also assist with respect to car hire golf etc... The villa / pool is managed/maintained by a British couple who live in Coral Bay who are available to assist you during you visit.

Why Sylvia and Alistair McNab chose Peyia

My parents are permanent residents of Cyprus and live about a mile away from the villa. During one of our visits we decided to invest in a property and we now regularly holiday in Peyia/ Coral Bay at various times throughout the year. We have found that the area has a lot to offer throughout the year including beaches, golf courses and a variety of restaurants and entertainment. The villa is located in lower Peyia and is also very convenient for the night life and restaurants of Coral Bay and the tavernas of Peyia village. The villa is also on a bus route. For those interested in hiring a boat, we would also recommend a trip to Latchi / Polis which is less than 30 minutes in the car. We certainly love the area which is ideal for both families and also couples who wish to relax.

What makes this villa unique

The Villa is located in lower Peyia and is also close to Coral Bay as well as the local tavernas/ shops in Peyia village. The villa is on the bus route connecting Coral Bay and Paphos town. The villa has its own private pool and well maintained gardens with sun loungers. The property is managed and maintained by a British couple who reside in Coral Bay and are available at short notice in the event of emergencies. Golf and transportion can also be arranged .

On arrival a welcome pack is provided free of charge which includes the essentials for visitors (milk, bread, coffee, tea, etc). In addition the villa contains a welcome book which describes the local area including sat TV. instructions, recommended local restaurants, attractions etc including local tips and emergency tel numbers.

Notes on accommodation: Bedroom 1 (en suite) with king size bed and fitted security safe ( code will be provided). Bedrooms 2 and 3 with twin beds. All the bedrooms have fitted wardrobes, bedside tables and air conditioning, three speed ceiling fans and standing fans with adjustable speeds, with bedrooms 2 and 3 having patio doors leading onto balconies with seating area to enjoy the early morning sunshine (front bedrooms at the front of the property facing the sea). Outside: Professionally landscaped garden with fruit and palm trees, large patio areas and veranda with sea views. Patio garden furniture with large table and 6 chairs. Private drive, large private 10x5 m swimming pool with new liner and professionally maintained on a twice weekly basis. Barbecue facilities (gas cylinder provided however may require re fill). Utility Room: Hoover , iron, ironing board supplied Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels provided free of charge (excl beach and pool towels). We have recently changed the management company and a mid stay cleaning service is available on request at extra charge, welcome pack is provided on arrival at no extra charge.

So disappointing.......

We had high hopes for this villa however all is not as described. The broadband IP/TV box stutters and freezes and so makes the TV virtually unwatchable. There is no Satellite TV. There is no iPod docking station. The safe is not a combination lock safe but a key one. The air con is limited to two hours by timers, so if you want air conditioning during the night you have to wake up every two hours to turn it back on. The pool liner is not new and the scum line on this one would rival any in Cyprus. The barbecue is no longer gas but charcoal still in its box - don’t forget your screwdriver! The welcome pack is not free of charge. The information pack is a couple of pages of smudged and stained notes overwritten by hand multiple times.

This villa requires a full deep clean and refurb! The sanitary-ware is stained; the kitchen switches have embedded fat, food and dust; the hob extractor fan is filthy; the oven looks like it has never been cleaned; the toaster had not been emptied; the cutlery and glasses are dirty; the dining chairs are stained and dusty; the two sets of patio table/chairs are dirty with stained/moldy seat covers; one of the outside lamps is held together with gaffa tape and the kitchen bin and some patio chairs held together with sellotape! The blinds downstairs are dirty. The paintwork on the walls is scuffed, scarred and dirty with countless greasy hand prints. The windows have not been cleaned in millennia. We spent the first few hours of our stay cleaning what we needed to use. There are annoying things like the bathrooms do not have any towels rails or hooks just a hand towel ring; no hair dryer which is standard these days; if you want to use the DVD player you have to swap the scart connectors on the back of the TV.

This was the eighth of nine properties we stayed in whilst in Cyprus and by far the worst. We did not contact the local agent or the owner about these issues when we arrived as anyone presenting a property in this state would not understand our issues and we were on holiday. The local agent Yvonne did pop round on day 3 and we gave our feedback. Yvonne of course asked why we had not contacted her as she would have got the cleaners back in. We explained that we wanted peace and quiet not cleaners running all over the place and besides the sort of deep clean we think this villa needs would not have been accomplished in a few hours. Yvonne apologised and said she would pass our comments and feedback to the owner

Owner's Response: To be frank I am also very disappointed with this posting I firstly I would like to apologise to the guests , this is not acceptable . we have never received a negative review so this will be taken very seriously We will take this onboard fully and ensure that all the points are actioned and taken onboard . As owner I am relying on our agents as I don't regularly visit the villa however this is no excuse . For 2018 a full list of actions is being prepared and shall be implemented for the season . Owner

Private garden and pool makes this property

We had a wonderful stay here made all the more memorable by the recommendations Yvonne (property manager) gave us for eating out. She was easily contactable and made sure we arrived safely. Peyia is a perfect location for exploring the west coast so it's advisable to have a car. Our two favourite places were The Last Castle and Oniro by the Sea.

On previous holiday rentals we have too often been disappointed by the poor state of garden furniture but this property had comfortable sun loungers and other outdoor furniture. A good size pool was also perfect for a dip to cool off.

GREAT VILLA, GREAT HOLIDAY

We stayed for 2 weeks during August and had a lovely holiday. Great villa, fantastic pool which we used a lot as it was very, very hot. Close to Coral Bay, lots of good restaurants and plenty of supermarkets. Yvonne (Property Manager) and husband Gary were very helpful and have lots of local knowledge. Visited Troodos mountains, Tomb of the Kings and Kato Paphos Archaeological Park.

fantastic holiday

We stayed in your lovely villa for two weeks in June,We had a fantastc time the villa was excellent as was the pool, which we used every morning,the villa was easy to get to and very near to coral bay beach and restaurants, we visited paphos and the tomb of the kings,and had one of the best holidays We will stay with you if we visit cyprus again

Coast/Beach:

Coral Bay Blue Flag beach with its abundance of sun lounges, parasols, water-sports etc is just 5 mins drive away, there are a selection of other local beaches too that you may wish to visit during your stay so a car is recommended if you would like to explore many places of the island. It is also recommended to visit Latchi which is a 30 min drive from the villa . Boat hire is available at Latchi and there are many beach front restaurants at reasonable prices.

Travel:

Travel

The Villa is situated 25 mins away by taxi from Paphos International Airport. Larnaca airport is approx an hour and a half with the majority all new motorways. Car hire is highly recommended; vehicles are right hand drive and are readily available to pick up at the airport saving your taxi transfer and allowing you to discover this beautiful island. Car hire is recommended and villa owners can recommend car hire companies at reasonable prices.

Distances:

The villa is located in lower Peyia and is located less than 1km from Peyia village where there are many tavernas , supermaket, bakery, bank and post office. Coral Bay resort is circa 2km from the villa including quality beaches, restaurants , bars and night clubs. the villa is on the bus route into both Coral Bay and Paphos (single journey costs 1 Euro).

Further Details:

Skiing: Troodos Mountains is situated approximately 2 hours from the villa where skiing can be enjoyed in the winter months and walking all year round.

Special interest holidays: Places to visit - Aphrodite baths, Monasteries, Churches, Forests, Traditional old villages, Theme parks, Paphos old port, Kolossi Castle, AKourion amphitheatre, Aphrodite rock (Petra tou Romiou).

Distance From Beach : 5 minute drive.

Sat TV and Internet services can be provided on request at a rate of 20£ per week conditional upon giving the owner no later than 30 days notice of this requirement .
