|Minimum Stay||3 - 7 nights|
This magnificent period home dates back to the late eighteen hundreds providing a wonderful example of spacious Victorian grandeur. Peacefully situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Fulbourn, it is conveniently located just four miles from the historic City of Cambridge and less than an hour from the heart of London. Beechwood House has recently undergone a substantial face lift, and whilst retaining many original features it has been carefully and tastefully extended and fully redecorated, creating a traditional atmosphere blended with the comfort of modern day living. The bright and airy interior opens out onto a delightful terrace and a beautifully established and maintained traditional English garden backing onto open countryside, providing an oasis of unrushed tranquillity and seclusion. A unique opportunity to rent and experience one of Cambridge's finest traditional landmark properties.
Now semi retired after running a European villa holiday company for over 30 years, my wife and I decided to run Beechwood House as a luxury holiday home for discerning guests visiting Cambridge.
James & Erica purchased this house in 1994
Seldom does one find an entire period home available for short term holiday rentals, just a few minutes from the historic City of Cambridge. A family home for two and half decades, Beechwood House provides unique opportunity to stay in a beautifully appointed property with all home from home comforts.
“Beechwood House is even better than it looks on line”
We booked Beechwood House and one of the studios for a celebration of a family birthday. James was there to welcome us personally when we arrived. Everything was just perfect, including champagne on ice, chocolates, lots of fresh fruit and flowers. The Bates family.
Perfect place for a family reunion”
We were absolutely blown away by the property, and although the photos look lovely, they really don't do the property justice. The lounge was beautiful and there was plenty of room to hide away in to relax. The garden is massive, and was a wonderful space for the kids to have Easter egg hunts and the pool was a real bonus. James was a fantastic host, and the fruit, champagne and chocolates on arrival were a lovely surprise. We'll definitely be coming back! The Kenny family.
30th Birthday Long Weekend Venue - Great”
Beechwood House is amazing; the house itself is beautiful and the two studio are also of 5 star quality
We had an absolutely perfect family birthday weekend in this beautiful house and garden. It was ideal for us as a group and for young and old... a wonderful country walk on the Saturday, a pub lunch on the Sunday, delicious home-made meals provided by our family on two nights and two mornings, and multiple swims in the indoor pool for the two youngest and their mum.
We were also overwhelmed not only by the gracious space and decor of the house, and the delightful garden, but especially by the owners' generosity in leaving us flowers, chocolates, fruit and even a birthday cake! These caring and personal touches went way beyond the call of duty and made us feel so welcome.
We will definitely be recommending Beechwood House, and hope to return there one day ourselves.
