Why Alissa Knight chose London

I love London, and especially Islington which has undergone a transformation in the last decade, from trendy but slightly 'studentie' in feel to a vibrant and fashionable area it is today. Restaurants like Ottolenghi in Upper street, the 'Everyman' cinema, where you can order a glass of champagne to be brought directly to your plush leather sofa, make exploring it a real delight.

Most importantly the flat is literally 5 minutes from King's Cross station so you could be on euro-star and in Paris in 2 and a half hours. Picadilly circus is less than 10 minutes away and so is Covent Garden, so the flat is ideally located to be in central London within minutes. The fact that is less than a 100 meters from the Arsenal tube station makes getting on a train a quick and unstressful experienc

. The flat was ideal and we'll certainly use it again because it's so close to our daughter's home and well located for transport, shops and restaurants, not that we needed to eat out over Christmas! The car parking arrangement worked well and meant that we didn't have to worry about parking tickets and could pack the car the night before we left. Maureen was lovely and so helpful in explaining everything.

Bright, clean, comfortable and well equipped.

We stayed in this flat for a week, and it gave us a true experience of spending time in a London neighborhood where school children in uniforms walk to past our bedroom window in the morning and adults hustle to the Arsenal Tube Station to get to work. Getting to the London sights was very easy because the Arsenal Tube station is literally right out the back gates of this complex. This flat had EVERYTHING we could have imagined we might need. We walked to one of the small markets close by and cooked all our dinners and had breakfast items on hand before we would set out to sightsee in London. Returning to the flat after a day full of activity was relaxing and the perfect place to recharge our batteries and plan the next day. Alissa was so helpful to us before our arrival. We had never been to England, and she took the time to answer all of our questions before we arrived and continued to be available for us to contact should we have needed anything. We were sad to leave this property and would love to return to London one day and rent this same flat again if it were available. We would highly recommend this place to our family and friends.

Great stay in a grand apartment

Our second time in this property in the Arsenal Stadium - we would certainly have returned earlier if the apartment had not been booked when we would have liked to stay. This shows the attraction of the flat: extremely well kept, spotlessly clean, spacious, very quiet, a marvellous view into the former football grounds. You can still feel the Gunners' spirit in the historic East Stand, where the flat is located. Exchanging the keys was very easy, and we did not have any problems whatsoever during our week in the Stadium.

The proximity to Arsenal tube Station is very handy, the restaurants .in Highbury and on Blackstock Road most likely suit every palate. We also enjoyed strolls down Upper Street in Islington.

We were very sad to leave, but look forward to returning later this year.

Perfect stay in every way!

We rented this apartment for our visit to London and we couldn't have chosen a better place. It was even better than the pictures, spotless, new and soooo quiet you wouldn't believe you are in London, just 20 minutes away from Piccadilly Circus on the Piccadilly Line.

Alissa is a fantastic host, she managed to make us feel welcome and took care of every need, even if she wasn't able to meet us personally.

There are no words really to fully describe how much we enjoyed our stay, I will recommend it to all my friends going to London and will certainly try to be back next year.

Lovely place. Clean, tidy and a very good location.

We really loved staying at the apartment in Arsenal. It was easy access to London and straight through on the Picadilly line to most of the places we wanted to go to. It's also straight through to Heathrow.

The flat itself was clean, tidy and very well appointed. I also loved the fact that there were two bathrooms which was an added bonus.

I would definitely rent it again if the occasion arose and would recommend it to my friends.

The owner was happy to communicate with me and came back to me every time, in a timely manner, when I had queries.

Looking forward to our return to stylish apartment

We spent a week in this stylish apartment while attending our son's wedding and were totally happy with the comfort, convenience and facilities on offer. This conversion of the Highbury Stadium into cool city apartments is an exciting place to stay, conveniently beside the Arsenal tube station and an easy walk from restaurants, pubs and shops. The apartment is large, airy and well appointed with everything you might need for your stay. The manager is welcoming and helpful, and available to help with queries. We will certainly look forward to our next visit to the old Arsenal stadium.

Fab flat in Highbury Stadium Square

What a great holiday flat. During the day, sun streams in through the lounge windows, a delight, especially when the temperature is on the cool side.

We regularly visit our daughter and family, who live in the same complex. We have booked various flats/houses to be near her so now we feel like locals - we have our favourite coffee shops, wine stores, grocery stores, pubs etc.

Although Islington is not in the centre of London, everywhere you want to visit is so accessible. If you fly into Heathrow, you just get your Oyster card at the underground station. For just five pounds, you have a direct train ride, on the Piccadilly Tube, that gets you to Arsenal Station, only a 5 minute walk to Highbury Stadium Square. At the station there are two sets of stairs - about 15 then 8 steps - which you have to carry your cases up/down, but they are manageable - invariably a commuter will offer assistance.

A 5 minute walk takes you to the bus stop. We jump on the #19 that takes you through Angel. You can jump off at Highbury Corner and have a delicious coffee at a cute little cafe called Maison D'être, or walk 5 minutes from there to a fabulous pub called The Canonbury; at Highbury Corner there is also a fab small restaurant called Trullo; or walk along Upper Street for many options for eating out or browsing boutiques. On the other hand, you could stay on the #19 and alight at Exmouth Market for some other great restaurants. We especially like Caravan - I believe it was started by a New Zealander who really knows how to roast and serve coffee. Their "small plates" are usually scrumptious, ESPECIALLY the cornbread with chipotle butter. We wandered around that area, known as Clerkenwell, and found some fascinating sights. We followed that by getting another bus that took us to the London Wall Museum which was well worth a visit. The British Library or British Museum are only a few short stops on the tube.

Alissa was always easy to deal with. We were met by her associate who lives in the complex. She supplied keys for us, and showed us into the flat. The flat is spacious enough for two people. My sister stayed with us for a few nights, so happily slept on a sofa bed in the lounge. There is one bathroom with a shower (in the bath) and a toilet; the other bathroom has a shower and toilet. Water pressure is not fantastic, but adequate. Oh, wifi cuts out on you sometimes but you just have to be patient, and it will return!
