About Alissa Knight
I am a professional and a company director. Having run my own business for the last 15 years, which is actually renting out villas in the South of France and Morocco, I know how important holidays are! I have a family and share my time between the South of France and the UK. I love London and the Highbury area which I hope my guests will enjoy as much as I do - with so many new lovely shops and restaurants on your doorstep, and the Arsenal station less than 2 minutes away you really are getting the very best of the London experience.
Alissa Knight purchased this Apartment in 2010
Why Alissa Knight chose Highbury West
I love London, and especially Islington which has undergone a transformation in the last decade, from trendy but slightly 'studentie' in feel to a vibrant and fashionable area it is today. Restaurants like Ottolenghi in Upper street, the 'Everyman' cinema, where you can order a glass of champagne to be brought directly to your plush leather sofa, make exploring it a real delight. Most importantly the flat is literally 5 minutes from King's Cross station so you could be on euro-star and in Paris in 2 and a half hours. Picadilly circus is less than 10 minutes away and so is Covent Garden, so the flat is ideally located to be in central London within minutes. The fact that is less than a 100 meters from the Arsenal tube station makes getting on a train a quick and unstressful experienc

Awesome stay apt is perfect
Is an excellent owner, great communication and the flat is perfect. Having two bathrooms plus the large coach that makes into a bed works great, it is like having a two bedroom. Will be back for sure for more Arsenal matches only a 5 min walk to the stadium and less to the tube.
You have been exemplary guests and are welcome back any time!
Thanks for a great review - really appreciate it.
We stayed here for a week and loved the area , the apartment and London l.
Alissa was very helpful and gave us some great advise about the food shops , nearby.....which are excellent!! The apartment has everything you need and very cosy. The bed is comfy and Alissa supplied a cot for my 18 month old which was very helpful. The only negatives are If you have the windows open it can be quite noisy and the lady who was supposed to meet and greet us was quite quick and abrupt but this could be because we arrived at 6.30pm so she didn't tell us anything about the apartment, how things worked or the area but we had a good uber driver who explained heaps and we worked out the rest. Overall great place and would definatly stay here again.......dont really want to leave as it feels like home
Impeccably clean and Location rocks!
Beautiful apartment that houses history. Great location. Glad we didn't stay in Kensington; because it forced us to explore public transit- buses and underground.... What a wonderful adventure because we explored boroughs that were not touristy but authentically local! Great restaurants , pubs and cafés... Also some bad ones, but the gems stood out. Good value for your money. Highly recommended.Wonderful and kind owner.
Thanks Cathy - thank you so much for the review and I am so glad you enjoyed your stay! If you come again I will write 'personal recommendations' local restaurant guide because as you said there are some fab ones. Thank you for being lovely ideal guests and you are welcome back anytime!
Loved staying in modern flat with Arsenal history
We were greeted by a caretaker and shown to the flat. It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Alissa was very accommodating with our arrival and departure times for which we are very appreciative!
The location was great. It was very close to the Arsenal station on the Piccadilly Line. My boyfriend is a huge Arsenal fan and loved being able to experience the history of Highbury and the excitement of an Arsenal game at Emirates Stadium only blocks away. Enjoyed morning walks in Gillespie Park which is also very close to the flat. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family.
Great property. Convenient location. Wonderful hospitality
Great place to stay when in London. Highly recommended
Dear John - thank for being such ideal guests. Many thanks for your wonderful note and I am so glad you have enjoyed your stay. Welcome back any time! Kind regards - Alissa
Bright, clean, comfortable and well equipped.
We stayed in this flat for a week, and it gave us a true experience of spending time in a London neighborhood where school children in uniforms walk to past our bedroom window in the morning and adults hustle to the Arsenal Tube Station to get to work. Getting to the London sights was very easy because the Arsenal Tube station is literally right out the back gates of this complex. This flat had EVERYTHING we could have imagined we might need. We walked to one of the small markets close by and cooked all our dinners and had breakfast items on hand before we would set out to sightsee in London. Returning to the flat after a day full of activity was relaxing and the perfect place to recharge our batteries and plan the next day. Alissa was so helpful to us before our arrival. We had never been to England, and she took the time to answer all of our questions before we arrived and continued to be available for us to contact should we have needed anything. We were sad to leave this property and would love to return to London one day and rent this same flat again if it were available. We would highly recommend this place to our family and friends.
