This lovely rural villa is situated on a plot of 800m2 and just 1.5km from the beaches of Nerja. Its landscaped gardens offer views to both the sea and the mountains. The villa is equipped for a maximum of six people and has three bedrooms: There are two family size bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped. The lounge/dining room provides comfortable accommodation with fireplace. Air conditioning both hot and cold throughout the house. Externally the villa boasts a good sized pool (8m x 4m). The gardens are meticulously kept and the lawns are a welcome advantage for families with small children. Six sun loungers are provided, covered porch area with table and chairs, BBQ area and private parking.

This villa is situated in a privileged location, being so close to the town of Nerja and yet in a rural, peaceful location next to the Rio Chillar. The white washed village of Frigiliana is just a few minutes drive north.

This is an excellent villa. The photos show exactly what you are getting. Caroline and Jose could not be better, unobtrusive yet always on hand for help. The villa is very peaceful yet only a 5 min drive from Nerja. The road to the villa is a typical Spanish back road, but is Ok - I have stopped at Sayalonga, which is further inland and the back road to the villa I stayed in there was truly frightening! If you want to walk down in to Nerja it is all down hill, alebit a bit dusty. We tended to drive down into Nerja during the day, but got taxis (always use the taxi that Caroline advised - Antonio - who was just a phone call away and always reliable) there and back on a night. The taxi cost 10 euros each way. Nerja is a lovely place, still retaining a Spanish feel but with lots of interesting shops and good restaurants. Malaga and Granada are about an easy hours drive away for a trip out. I would not hesitate in recommending this villa.

Superb villa, good location, great owners.

Property was really clean, beautifully presented and brilliantly equipped. We did not hire a car and managed fine, usually walking into town and getting a taxi back. The proximity to the road was not an issue, we didn't notice any noise. The views from the villa were excellent. A final word on the owners, they helped with everything we needed in a really prompt fashion, they were always on hand if we needed them but were NOT invasive. Brilliant.

Perfect peace

We have just returned from Villa El Cano and couldn't wait to book again for next year! The villa itself it lovely, well laid out and furnished. The bedroom arrangement was perfect for us with our family sharing the larger shower room and our friends with their own bathroom. Everything we needed was there, dishwasher, oven and microwave for those nights we ate in and the lovely table on the veranda at the front where we could sit and watch the lights of the town and the fantastic lightening storm that lit the sky one night. Incredible! The garden and pool were our idea of heaven. So peaceful and secluded. Not overlooked and very little noise, especially not the barking of dogs which we have noticed in many other places. Although the villa is quite a way from the centre of town, it is not isolated and we felt very safe and secure at all times. On the nights we went into the town to eat we walked down via the Rio Chillar, a pleasant walk as the evening cooled, even for my husband who is approaching 70. As the return journey is somewhat steeper we did get a taxi back!

On our arrival, much too early, we were greeted by Caroline who showed us all the important stuff and very kindly allowed us to leave our luggage safely whilst we went for lunch and supplies, beer, wine, whisky and a little food! Her help was invaluable especially the number of the taxi service, the esteemed Antonio, who brought us home safely, and if he wasn't working himself, he arranged for his friend to pick us up.

Altogether a fantastic holiday, we can't wait to return as we feel we hardly scratched the surface of Nerja which is a lovely town.

July trip to Nerja, Malaga

The villa is stunning and very relaxing. Caroline (the owner) met us and explained about the villa and Nerja when we arrived.The garden is beautiful. We spent summer evenings by the pool and the children swam happily. I jogged around the garden in the evenings on 2 of the 7 days.

The children had a lie in each morning.

The afternoons were too hot (35 to 38 Celsius) so we stayed indoors then, watching TV and DVDs. There were a few newish American program on the TV.

We brought our favourite DVDs along. There is a DVD player there.

The local supermarkets are close by and had everything we needed. I felt healthier on the bottled mineral water there and am getting Brita water filters in the UK now.

We made a day trip to see the Alhambra Palace, Granada. The motorways are very good and this is a very well developed, modern and advanced tourist area. (We had booked Alhambra tour guide tickets 2 months earlier online from England).

We made a half day trip to see the impressive caves at Nerja. The food there was excellent and very good value for money (10 Euros for a full tasty meal). The price there is 1/2 that in Nerja town. The town is modern and well developed.

Outstanding relaxing break in beautiful Nerja

The property was immaculately clean, fully furnished with free Wifi and English TV channels. The pool was outstanding, really made the holiday for our young daughter. The hosts Caroline and Jose Miguel really made us feel really welcome and at home, and were available if we needed them. We really unplugged and recharged the batteries, I cannot recommend the villa, the location or hosts highly enough!! Fantastic!!

Excellent Villa

We stayed in this lovely villa last year & can not fault it. The villa itself was spotless & had everything we needed including high chair & travel cot for our son who was then 20 months old. The pool was great and the garden is beautiful and well looked after. We also used the built in BBQ a few times which was a nice treat. Would highly recommend this villa, the owners Caroline & Jose Miguel were very friendly and helpful.

All of Nerjas beaches are a short distance from the property. Just 5 minutes by car or half an hour walking. Nerja offers a diverse variety of beaches along its coast. From the busier, restaurant filled beaches like Burriana to the quieter, more remote beaches like El Salon.

Travel:

Málaga airport is the nearest airport to Nerja, just 65km (45 minutes) away via the E15/A7 motorway. Car hire is recommended.
