Our house has large picture windows overlooking the pristine waters and marshes all the way to the gulf. There are terraces to sit out and enjoy the sun and the sunset which happens right out front. There’s a private dock that takes you to the waters edge, where you can canoe or fish from; and to our own island with a picnic table. There are a couple of public boat ramps, the closest being 1/2 mile away, and there is plenty of space to park a boat trailer on the property.
The house has 3 nice sized rooms with 4-poster beds and ceiling fans. The Library, is a common room between the rooms where you can sit and read or enjoy the view and some solitude. While in the living room and dining room you can enjoy TV or talking with your friends while preparing a meal in the open kitchen. There is a Florida room that runs parallel to the living / dining room. With 3,650 square feet of space, this house is spacious enough for large groups, family reunions and entertaining with friends.
If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen is well prepared for you.
There is lots of land and privacy for you to stroll around the property.
If you are looking to unwind and enjoy nature, this place will afford you the peace and quiet.
Homosassa has many water activities on offer, such as, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, air boating, scalloping, swimming with the manatees and going for a swim in the gulf’s warm waters. There are also many homestyle restaurants with an emphasis on fresh seafood. There are also a number of attractions to keep you, your family and friends busy.
We look forward to welcoming you.

I was born in Brasil and have lived around the world, including China, where I am currently. I've been in the restaurant business for a long time (luckily I really enjoy it). And Homosassa was where our traveling family used to meet for our annual gatherings.
Charlie purchased this House in 2010
Why Charlie chose Old Homosassa
This house and property is secluded and in the midst of nature, which seems to bring out the best in our family. We can adventure out into the marshes and gulf for fishing, paddling around or swimming or go for a stroll around the property / neighborhood. There is plenty of space to be together and still have time apart.
What makes this House unique
Being at this house allows me to enjoy the surrounding nature. Sitting up on the 2nd floor watching the sunset or sun bathing during the day. Fishing off the dock with my kids and family. Shopping for fresh seafood to bring home or eat in the local restaurants. It all leads to a slower pace of life and enjoyment of the moment. There are 2 public boat ramps, the closest being 1/2 mile away, and plenty of space to park your boat trailer.

Beautiful home and great retreat for family and friends
From the panorama views, to the furnishings, Charlie's beautiful home provided the perfect escape and ideal dose of the best of Old Florida. We enjoyed kayaking on the river, birdwatching from the balconies, and a friendly tour of the grounds by Dave (the manager) and his wife. Very convenient access to everything you would need in the house, and when I forgot my laptop charger, Dave mailed it to me right away! We will definitely return!
Very private yet conveniently located property.
The homes exterior is well seasoned by it’s coastal location. The interior is a beautiful surprise. Unique in its design and wonderfully furnished, we wanted for nothing.
It was a great home base for exploring the many sights and activities the area offers. The only disappointment is that we didn’t stay longer. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else in the area. Views are extraordinary. Beds were comfortable. Linens plentiful and of high quality.
If you like to cook there are a myriad of pots, pans, and related tools of the trade. Climate control was efficient with programmable thermostats and many ceiling fans. It was easy to create a consistent environment throughout the home.
We are very thankful for the opportunity to have stayed here.
Awesomely Beautuful Home and location!
We were in town for a family wedding and could not have chosen a more beautiful and peaceful location. House is huge with every convenience that you need with a large full kitchen. David and Stephanie were great caretakers and their homemade marmalade? Delicious! The sunsets and a glass of wine....perfect way to end your day.
What a great getaway; relaxing, beautiful. Real Florida.
Our extended family had a fabulous time. The little girls enjoyed fishing off the dock (couple of crabs and couple of little fish). We rented kayaks one day and enjoyed the marsh area. Water in Mason’s creek was pretty skinny and we couldn’t use our open fisherman; next time we may just rent a pontoon boat which is better for the kids anyway. The Kitchen had everything we needed, and there was lots of space for everyone. The downstairs was completely screened in and was perfect for napping with the palms rustling outside. Having a complete bathroom downstairs was great. A bald eagle must be making his home nearby; we saw him several times! We can’t wait to go back!
Winter get away
The view is real. The home is pristine. Everything a traveler could want is there. We arrived a little early and the caretaker was just finishing up cleaning from the previous renter. They could not have been more helpful and informative about area activities and dining. We'll definitely keep this one on our list to revisit.
Can't overstate the beauty, peach, and quiet this home provides.
We had an amazing time. Everything about the house, property was outstanding. Gorgeous views from both inside and out. We stayed 5 days and wish we had stayed longer. Spending time outside by the water, hanging out in the house when we weren't out with the manatees or exploring all the other wildlife the area has to offer. The house and property was so spacious and private. The silence, other than birds, may have been my favorite part. The house was too big for us two. If I had a complaint, it was just finding our way through the house the first day! Loved the style, decor, views... True luxury accommodations. We would love to definitely come back to this house some day. Very sad the day we had to leave... If you love nature, solitude, this is the place!
