The Old Stables were lovingly converted into a cosy yet spacious retreat in early 2011. Built in natural Cotswold stone it features a magnificent and original gabled roof providing an attractive feature to the lounge and bedrooms. The original stable doors remain to the outside while full length sliding windows allow maximum light and access from outside the property to the lounge and master bedroom. The lounge has the added luxury of a log burner to enhance its ambience and cosiness. To the outside Cotswold hurdling enables you to enjoy a private courtyard and patio with BBQ. It is a stones throw from leafy lanes, beautiful bridle paths and wooded valleys inspiring you to enjoy walks and cycle rides. If you plan to venture farther afield, attractions are in abundance and Castle Combe is a great central location to explore all that the Cotswolds, Bath, Bristol and Wiltshire have to offer.
What a fantastic time we had! A real home from home, with so much to do in the area, we are coming back before the end of the year! Loved all the little touches in all the rooms and the lounge area with the open log fire was great in the evening to watch T.V or curl up with a good book. We went for walks, shopping in Bath, visited Stonehenge and had loads of lovely lunches and meals. This place is a hidden gem! Peggy & Richard, Dorset
What an absolute gem, Maggie and Richard are such lovely people and made our stay so lovely.
The converted stables are so cozy, warm and truly a Home away from Home.
Being right next door to the Pub was a plus, close to shopping motorways and Castle Combe. An absolute must place to stay if you are planning a visit to the area.. Thank you Maggie and Richard hope to see you again one day.

The cottage is amazing, nicely decorated and very, very cosy....great location for long walks, beautiful castle Combe and not far from Chippenham if you want something more urban.....maggie is an amazing host and was like staying in a friends cottage.....loved it, can't wait to take husband down again later this year!
