Villa in Hondon de los Frailes, Costa Blanca, Spain - Quiet And Peaceful The Nearest Neighbour 3 Fields Away

Casa FuenteLargo is built on two levels with a marble staircase going from the lounge to the first floor, on the ground floor there are two bedrooms with a further three on the other level. There are three shower rooms with WCs one en-suite, in the house and a further one next to the pool. To the front of the property there is room for six cars to park, and to its rear a large court yard with barbecue and covered eating area. The covered patio to the front is ideal for eating breakfast in the morning sun.

About Percy Chattey

Percy and Jean retired to Spain in 2000, we live comfortably in peace and quiet on the side of the mountain with views stretching down the Hondon valley, overlooking the village of Hondon de los Frailes about a mile away. We have been letting the main house for nearly eight years and have made many friends in that time some living as far as Australia. If you wish to stay then you will be made very welcome. The house is totally detached and very homely, no put-u-ups real beds in real bedrooms with air-conditioning.

Coast/Beach:

There are many beaches within an hours drive from the villa, along the Costa Blanca Coast. Full directions are in the house book with other details.

Travel:

A car is essential. Alicante and Murcia Airports are within an hours drive, with the former being the closest. The ferry ports of Santander and Bilbao are about 500 miles away on duel carriageway roads, can be achieved in a days driving.

Distances:

Hondon de los Frailes 1 mile from the front gate. Albatera 8 miles over the mountain. Elche a large city about 22 miles. Torrevieja a seaside town about 30 miles mainly on motorways. Full directions are detailed in the house. To view the exact location of the property go into Google Earth and type ´Casa FuenteLargo´ in the top left hand corner.

Further Details:

There are bars and restaurants in the village with small shops which stock most items there is also a bank with a cash machine. Albatera has 3 supermarkets and several banks. Near Elche there is a Safari Park and a well known Palm garden. There are three water parks near Torrevieja. Benidorm is about an hours drive away. There are sign posted walks around the village, a trout farm about 4 miles away or sea fishing can be organised at many places along the coast. Balloon rides, expensive, but can be bought not too far from Albatera, or if you want to try your hand at flying a light aircraft, that is also possible.

Notes on accommodation: The Central Heating is through an automatic self feed wood pellet fire in the living area with hot and cold air conditioning units in the bedrooms. The television a satellite system with international stations and about 900 channels Outside: All walkways are fully paved with tended gardens and six seperate patio seating areas all with various comfortable seats. The unheated pool is 8 x 4 metres in size and private to the villa with cushioned loungers and no neighbours to over look. The owners live in an annexe seperate from the property and do not use the grounds or pool whilst guests are in residence, but are available for any information and pool cleaning. Utility Room: The utility room has a washing machine, dishwasher, iron and ironing board with storage cupboards, bucket, mob and vacuum cleaner. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property is thoroughly cleaned at each change over with laundered bedlinen. All towels including beach towels are included and replaced again on change over.

Booking Notes:
On booking a deposit of £100 , balance 6 weeks prior to arrival. Prices quoted are for 4 persons per week any extra up to 9 persons will be charged at 25 pounds per person per week.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible, we will meet parties at the airport if necessary between the hours of 8 to 8 in the day.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
