Very comfortable,luxurious and cosy cottages surrounded by stunning valley views. The Old Dairy (detached) and The Courtyard (semi detached) both with parking and unoverlooked. Adjacent to each other across a large courtyard they have everything for a relaxing and romantic get away. Snuggle in next to the log burning stove and you just won't want to go outside! The decor and furnishings are beautifully maintained and our guests comfort is a priority. Timble is the perfect base for touring Yorkshire and all it's treasures. Surrounded by Harrogate, Pately Bridge, Ripon, Ilkley and Skipton there is lots to see and do and lots of reasons to return. The general area is very well suited for walkers, cyclists, fishing, golfing or just relaxing. Situated in the village of Timble in Nidderdale it is only a 2 minute walk from the local excellent restaurant and pub. Perfect for 2 couples who wish to holiday together but require seperate accommodation. Evening meals available.

My little 'cottage' industry started 13 years ago when myself and my husband decided to restore a very run down but beautiful Yorkshire stone barn on our property.
The Old Dairy was completed and has been such a success that in 2013 we opened our new cottage 'The Courtyard. Still part of our barn conversion and adjacent to The Old Dairy the cottages are perfect for 2 couples who like to holiday together but prefer their own 'space'.
Our ethos in the new cottage was to create a beautiful space in the former school mistresses house. 'Affordable Luxury' was our focus and we are delighted with the outcome.

Although we have owned the property since 1997 The Old Dairy Cottage was only converted 13 years ago. Once a former outbuilding and dairy the restoration was needed to preserve the structure. The reason I have chosen to have a holiday cottage in this area is that it is just the perfect environment for relaxing, walking, cycling and to tour around and enjoy the wonderful things The Yorkshire Dales has to offer. Situated in a dedicated area of 'Outstanding Natural Beauty' the views from the cottage take a lot to beat. It's actually so good that I actually live next door! It's like being on holiday for me 365 days of the year.
The success of The Old Dairy encouraged us to open 'The Courtyard' in March 2013. We just couldn't supply the demand for luxury accommodation and regularly had to turn enquiries away. 3 months of hard work converting another part of our property produced The Courtyard Cottage but was well worth the effort. We are delighted with the outcome!
Perfectly situated for touring around Yorkshire and no more than a few miles from most of the major places of interest. Harrogate, Skipton, Ilkley, Ripon, York, Grassington, Masham etc. etc. the list is endless.
The village of Timble has a wonderful local pub/restaurant serving great food. With it being only a 2 minute walk from the cottage there is no need to drive out for a meal.
Alternatively, I can serve an evening meal in the cottage. My catering business has the necessary permits to allow me to offer this service. All freshly cooked using local ingredients this is a facility quite unique to holiday cottages.
Booking deposit of £50 is required at time of booking. The balance of payment is due 1 month before arrival. Payment methods accepted are cheque, direct bank transfer, over bank counter payment, Paypal.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed.
As soon as I walked into the property I felt like I was at home.
The information pack was comprehensive and gave us all the information needed.
The area is quiet which is what we wanted, but plenty of cycling and walking to
be done in this beautiful area. So take your bikes and walking shoes.
The Timble Inn serves outstanding meals with friendly staff.

Cannot praise this place enough, Dawn is a lovely lady who welcomed us at the cottage. She was so helpful and made us feel right at home. The cottage itself I cannot fault in the slightest. Amazing views all around, a short 2 minutes walk to the local pub whom serve outstanding food. Nearby there are lots of amenities and places to see. My partner and I will most definitely be staying here again, only next time in warmer climates for a longer duration. Such a beautiful getaway.

Without a doubt the cottage was as beautiful as the pictures suggest and has everything you will need for your stay. However, the pictures cannot communicate quite how peaceful and serene are the views of the surrounding areas. The Old Dairy looks out directly across fields and hills, populated with gorgeous plants, flowers and trees as far as the eye can see. In the distance are the nearby reservoirs which are lovely to walk around. It is truly idyllic and so very relaxing. The local pub was good for a quality evening meal and there are many routes for short and long walks immediately on the doorstep. Dawn is very helpful and friendly, and she also proved to be a fantastic cook; the catering service she provides is superb. I could not place the cottage and Dawn in higher regard. Simply wonderful!
The property was immaculate and the attention to detail was superb. My husband and I wanted a 'get away from it all' break and that's exactly what we got. Without a doubt this is the best cottage we have ever stayed in and the location / views are wonderful. We didn't want to leave!! We have recommended The Old Dairy Cottage to all our friends and family as we know anyone who stays there will not be disappointed, they will be made to feel so welcome and they will love it.

Nearest airport - Leeds/Bradford 6 miles. The use of a car is essential. Nearest train station Ilkley 6 miles.
Nearest town for shopping Otley 5 miles. Places of interest -Harrogate 8 miles. Ilkley 6 miles. Skipton 9 miles. Ripon 15 miles. Pateley Bridge 10 miles.
The local town of Otley is a traditional market town with supermarkets and local shops - 5 miles. Ilkley is 6 miles away and has lovely restaurants and the famous 'moor'. Harrogate is much larger and is 8 miles away. This has many restaurants, good shopping and lots of places of interest.
Leeds is best visited by train from Ilkley or a 40 minute drive by car. A vibrant and busy city with great shops and places to eat. Pateley bridge will take you 25 minutes by car and is well worth a visit. It is in the heart of Nidderdale.
York is less than an hours drive and an excellent park and ride service saves you the hassle of parking. Ripon and it's cathedral are a must and will take you 40 minutes to drive to. Skipton 'The gateway to the Dales' is a wonderful market town with it's own castle.
