Penrhyn House is a modern, well equipped holiday home offering flexible accommodation to families looking for a comfortable seaside retreat at any time of the year. It is situated in the small hamlet of Penrhyn less than a mile along the coastal road from Cemaes Bay. It has charming sea views from upstairs. The beaches of Cemaes Bay are within a 10 minute walk from the property. This is an ideal property for family holidays as there is a twin bedroom and shower room on the ground floor as well as two further bedrooms and family bathroom upstairs.

Notes on accommodation: Please contact owner. Outside: There is a safe, enclosed rear garden with gates to both exterior entrances. There is a barbecue and outdoor furniture provided in the garden shed. Utility Room: Washing machine and dryer. The utility room also houses the boiler. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided (but not beach towels). The house is cleaned before each visit. If the holiday is for more than one week a change of towels/linen could be arranged. Other: The dining room leads off the lounge with large dining table and chairs. A high seat is available on request.

Great weekend away with the family despite the British weather. Lovely house in a great location.

Would definitely return. House was very spacious clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Well laid out and excellent for young children. Only 5 minutes walk to the village and lovely bay. The only thing we would request next time is the sun!!

Very clean, comfortable and well equipped holiday let.

The property has great sized rooms, lovely tableware, very well equipped, beds were a bit bumpy, not sure I could have slept in the double for a whole week.

Back garden very secluded and great for small dogs or children.

Very good location for walking, shops well stocked, lovely fish and chips the 1st night from the village.

A larger chopping/bread board would be useful and some attention to the cold tap in the main bathroom needs some attention, the pressure was wrong and it was too noisy to use in the night.

If we were to stay on Anglesey again we would certainly check the availability of this property.

Great base for touring the island

This is a really lovely house with plenty of room, situated in a lovely bay at the north end of Anglesey. It had everything we needed - it was clean and comfortable with plenty of utensils and equipment - a proper home from home. We will definitely book again if we return to Anglesey. Thanks to the owners for a lovely place to stay 😀

Lovely place to stay, perfect for families/friends

Lovely house - clean, comfortable, well proportioned and well furnished. Fully equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need no matter what the weather and loved the fact that the garden is secure for little ones and small dogs. Wifi works brilliantly too.

Also loved that the downstairs bedroom and shower room are very 'self contained' and separate from the rest of the house making it absolutely ideal for our daughter, her partner and their young baby as it meant we didn't disturb them when the baby needed to sleep (and the baby didn't disturb us when we needed to sleep!)

We had a small issue with one of the doors part-way through our holiday - one quick phone call to Tim and it was swiftly sorted out with the minimum of fuss and didn't impact on our holiday at all.

The house is in very close proximity (literally a few minutes walk) to a couple of pubs and a restaurant and also to a very good local general store and only a short drive to a larger Coop. It's also only a few minutes walk to the beach where there is a beachside cafe for drinks and ice-creams.

The house is well situated for the main road through Anglesey and we did lots of exploring all over the Island during our week.

All in all, a lovely place to stay and we would definitely recommend it!

Average stay issue with heating

We stayed for two nights over the Easter break. The property is reasonably easy to find and is a really good size plenty big enough to accommodate all the family. I would say the property compared to most we have stayed in is a little dated but was very clean with lots of books and dvd's, we looked everywhere for the child's high chair but couldn't find it......

The TV signal is very hit and miss with lots of channels not working at all for most of our stay. There is an ariel booster but it didn't seem to make any difference.

We had a major issue with the boiler during our stay which has really over shadowed everything. From around 8pm on our first night the boiler went off and we couldn't get it working again this meant no heating or hot water at all. We did contact Tim early on Sunday morning as we didn't want to disturb him late on Saturday night. The main issue being we couldn't get showers on Sunday morning and couldn't bath our 16 month old daughter. The issue went on till around 3pm in the afternoon and it turned out the oil had run low so the boiler had cut out. It's disappointing as if you know you have guests staying surly you would make sure there was enough oil to work the boiler it just seems like bad planning to me. It was freezing cold in the house as the weather was really bad and we did contemplate going home at one point. It's a real shame as this really impacted our stay.

We wouldn't stay again as the issues with the boiler has put us off but this property is a good size and really reasonably priced for a family holiday so providing the boiler works I'd say give it a try.

The property is in a little village there is a small general store that sells the basics a butchers and a fish and chip shop all within a couple of mins walk. The area is really nice and it's literally 1 min walk down the hill to the beach and we would go back to this area again.

Owner's Response: Apologies - oil ordered but able to be delivered til after the Easter weekend. Housekeeper had no problems on the Saturday when cleaning but it must have run out later that day. We did get some oil delivered on the same day - but appreciate the inconvenience.

Perfect Place

A lovely house in a beautiful area. Decor is really nice and everything you need for a perfect holiday is in the house. Very quiet area, lovely beach and a great local chippie.

I like the idea that gas and electric is included in the price.

The books and DVDs help to keep the kids and oldies entertained when it was wet.

The log burner is well worth lighting as it heats most of the house.

All in all we had a great holiday.

The nearest beach is within a 5 minute walk. Cemaes Bay has a number of different easily accessible beaches. Anglesey has 125 miles of coastline so there are beaches to suit every seaside activity - whatever the weather.


The nearest airport is in Valley (Anglesey) with flights to Cardiff and the Isle of Man. It is approximately 120 miles to Manchester airport and approximately 100 miles to Liverpool airport. The nearest ferry port is at Holyhead. There are trains at Bangor and Holyhead. There is a bus service to Cemaes Bay to and from the major towns on the island.


It is less than a mile from Penrhyn House to the village of Cemaes Bay.

It is approximately 15 miles to Holyhead. Amlwch is 5 miles away and Bangor 25 miles away. The nearest supermarket is in Amlwch. There are local shops in Cemaes Bay.
