Anarita Chorio is our holiday home away from home. Welcome to this presentation that showcases our town house, a fantastic example of luxury holiday rentals. The following pages are dedicated to our stunning property in Anarita, a beautiful peaceful village set in glorious countryside within the Paphos region of Cyprus.

Cyprus is an island that has just about everything - great beaches, striking mountain ranges, bustling holiday towns and warm hospitality - and the area around Anarita now boasts some of the finest golf courses in the Mediterranean region.

About Stephen Dodd

My Cypriot wife, Androulla and I both live in the UK with our two adult children and have been coming to Cyprus for over 25 years where we have many family & friends.

Year purchased: 2011.

After nearly 4 years of waiting we have finally been given the keys to our brand new property based in the beautiful and traditional village of Anarita near Paphos, Cyprus.

It really has been a long wait and we are delighted to present our property to you where hopefully you may be tempted by what’s on offer for a well deserved break in the sun.

I hope you agree we have furnished our property to a high specification and our aim is to give you a 5* experience in a peaceful and traditional setting without having to pay 5* prices being charged at nearby large hotel chains.

Why Stephen Dodd chose Paphos & Suburbs

After numerous visits to Cyprus to find the perfect location for our holiday home we discovered this idyllic and highly sought after gem of a village, Anarita.

Being only 8 minutes from Paphos Airport and 15 minutes to Paphos centre it seemed the perfect location to buy.

This area of Paphos has also generated a great deal of interest as a holiday destination due to being only minutes away and between two of the top golf resorts in Europe, Aphrodite Hills & Elea Golf Club.

The views and surrounding scenery at Anarita are stunning and for anyone that likes to walk and explore this will be a haven for you.

Anarita is the perfect location for those guests seeking a peaceful and quiet location but within a short drive from all the nightlife that Paphos has to offer.

What makes this house unique

Anarita Chorio is built in an unspoily Cypriot village and has every facility you will need including a a selection of excellent tavernas, small supermarket, bars and of course the obligatory church.

Anarita has benefited unlike other areas of not being over developed and the whole development has an exclusive gated feel about it.

Our property has been built to a unique style that is spacious but has pockets of privacy for those guests who wish to spend time alone.

We have furnished and designed our home to a very high specification for those guests that like a little bit of 5 star luxury whilst on holiday.

Heading to Cyprus this year was a bit of a leap of faith for my wife and I, having spent many previous happy holidays in Portugal. Within 20 minutes of landing at Pafos airport however, any fears or concerns were soon dispelled as we arrived at Anarita Chorio and this beautifully appointed villa. When I take my family on holiday, I go on the premise that I should be taking them to somewhere at least as good, if not better than home. I am delighted to report that this was entirely the case with Cyprus and more so in the quality of the accomodation on offer here. Steve, the owner was incredibly helpful with some reassuring advice around the local area and what it had to offer.

Notes on accommodation: Please note that our property is designated a strictly NO Smoking zone, kindly respect our wishes. All windows have locks and flyscreens and fitted shutters to both bedrooms. Electronic safe in master bedroom. 'X Box' Game Station with a selection of games WiFi Internet access (Optional cost) Tassimo Costa Coffee machine - Cappuccino, Latte & Americano Pods - (optional cost) Outside: Extensive beautiful landscaped gardens surrounded by olive and citrus groves. The maintenance management of Anarita Chorio is in the hands of the developer who are very proud of the development and pool areas and are cleaned daily by friendly staff. There is also a childrens play area and lovely local walks. Utility Room: Downstairs cloackroom features W.C.basin & washing machine. Iron and iron board, clothes horse & cleaning utensils. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Luxury white indoor and blue outdoor pool towels are provided. All luxury egyptian cotton bed linen included. For a bedding, laundry and full mid week house cleans this is arranged and paid for locally. Other: Patio doors lead onto private elevated south facing terrace & garden area with fitted pergoda overlooking beautiful split level pool. Outdoor dining furniture with two sunbeds and large sun parasol. Pool area has sun loungers, umbrellas, shower and W.C.

High spec accommodation

Wonderful time had in this very high spec, tidy and well presented accommodation. Everything within the house is of the highest quality and it is equipped with everything that anyone could ever possibly need, especially the kitchen which is especially well kitted for a holiday rental. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the furnishings and technology. TV’s are of a high standard and the Apple TV works well. Internet is reliable and faster than expected.

The Development on which it is located is well kept and pleasant. Anarita is a small, quiet village, with great elevated views of Paphos bay. Jo’s Dinner is nice (nothing like the image conjured up by the term dinner) with good food. Her curries are surprisingly good if you fancy a change. There is another restaurant in the village, Olivios, however this was closed for a week of our visit and we didn’t get round to going there.

It has to be said that a car is essential. The property has a parking space right outside the front door. Transfer from the airport is short and Paphos is about 20 - 30 mins drive, where a Lidl and Hypermarket can be found. There is a well stocked shop with a butchers and a fishmongers less than ten mins drive, look for ‘Froutaria Papamichael’ on Google maps. Mandria is only ten minutes away and has a wide selection of restaurants and a quiet pebble beach. Kouklia is another village only 15 mins away, again with a good selection of restaurants.

All in all an excellent holiday rental property.

Exceptional apartment and very well equiped. Lovely complex with good restaurants both in Anarita and close by. Pathos only 20 minutes away with a very good new shopping mall and of course Kato Pathos water frontage attractions. Only 10 minutes from airport but no real aircraft noise.

Heavenly home from home - no nicer place to be if staying in Cyprus

An easy booking process, with Steve keeping us up to date and responding swiftly. On arrival, the property was perfect - the bottle of fizz was especially welcome after a long flight! The accommodation was high quality throughout and was fully equipped. None of us could fault it. For us, a home to home with all the creature comforts. It was even better than the photos -which is itself a rarity! The patio area has a medium size hedge giving privacy should one want it but still only a stone's throw from the pool. There were plenty of sun loungers but there were also two on the patio which were ideal for the afternoon sun. Even in August, the complex was fairly quiet and the pool was fabulous. Many a fun hour was spent in it. Stewart and Anne who manage the property are little treasures.

Anarita is, one assumes, typically Cypriot - not overly pretty but this wasn't an issue for us. Mandria is nice but more touristy. In the village, we did eat at both Joe's Diner and Olivio's. Both good with friendly staff and we were particularly impressed with Olivio's. Gabrielle's at Kouklia is a must, especially on a Thursday evening with Greek dancers and Cypriot buffets (need to book, excellent value for money). Car hire is essential. There's a small mini-market in the village but we didn't use. it. There are plenty of supermarkets in the area towards/in Paphos and one on the way to Mandria (large white building past two smaller mini-markets on the right) which the locals and English use. We discovered it did hot takeout food (traditional Cypriot food including meatballs and other traditional fayre as well as cooked chickens/roast potatoes etc) on our last day which looked good. They also did freshly made subs etc. We didn't get a chance to try the hot food but this would be a good alternative to eating out/cooking. Popular with the locals - wish we'd found it sooner!

The property is well placed for trips, the airport and Paphos. We had some chill days and also took ourselves up the Troodos mountains (scary when nearly ran out of petrol - not many petrol stations up there!!), the local water park (quite small but a good day out - didn't feel too packed), Paphos (shopping and tiger boat ride) as well as the obligatory Jeep safari. The children even tried scuba diving in Latchi (a good day out).

We like to try different countries each year but should we return to Cyprus this is the property for us! We can't recommend it highly enough.

Very comfortable and very well equipped.....

We stayed in this property for four weeks in April 2016 and found it to be very good indeed. It was our second stay and everything I commented on in my previous review in November 2014 still stands. The house is very comfortable, is well equipped, has a good internet connection and is very nicely situated for access to the coast and the Troodos Mountains. I've given the property four stars, but four and a half would be more accurate.

Stewart and Ann, who look after the property, are very friendly and helpful - always happy to give advice and information and are on hand should there be any problems. Very reassuring!

Local supermarket is excellent (only 5 minutes drive away) and Anarita has a smashing restaurant (Olivio) - they charge a little more than the Cyprus taverns, but the food and the wine and the service are excellent. Unpretentious, but very, very nice is how I'd describe it.

Anarita is pleasant enough, there are a few bars and a shop (don't expect too much - it's a simple village shop) and Jo's Diner (a few minutes walk away) seems very popular, with locals as well as tourists. OK, Anarita isn't a pretty village, it's not on a par with Kouklia or Mandria or the Troodos villages, but it's an excellent base and that's of high importance if you aren't content with sitting by the pool and want to explore the real Cyprus.

All in all, the house and its facilities and its location come highly recommended. We've rented three properties on Cyprus over the last five years and this one stands head and shoulders above the others.

Finally, I've always found Steve (the owner) to be very friendly and courteous - emails are always answered promptly, and he does a fine job of customer service. We're already looking at the possibility of another visit in Spring 2017 and I can't pay a bigger compliment than that!

Special interest holidays:

For those guests seeking a slighly more active holiday, Anarita is a perfect base for walkers and hiking and being just a short 45 minute drive to the Troodos mountains where even in the hot summer months you can escape the burning heat to discover numerous nature trails and cooling waterfalls.


Mandria, the nearest beach is secluded and unspoilt with no development at all, mainly pebbles, there are some sandy patches. Many small beach areas a few km away towards Aphrodite’s Rock. A little further is Pissouri (20 mins), where the fabulous curved bay offers watersports, sunbeds and tavernas. Coral Bay is a very popular blue flag beach about 30 minutes by car.


There are two airports that serve Anarita, Paphos International Airport (8 minute drive away) and Larnaca International Airport (1 hour drive away). Many major airlines have a scheduled service as do large number of package tour operators.

Anarita is a pretty very friendly traditional village with a good number of local bars & tavernas all within a short stroll of our house.

There is also a small mini market, post office and ATM machine for all your essentials including a beautiful church.

For all your main shopping needs Paphos is a short drive away where you will obtain everything you will need for the whole of your stay.
