Located in one of the most tranquil places in St Julian’s we are located opposite a valley with plenty of natural sunlight. Although located in a peaceful location our property is minutes away from the sandy beach in St Georges Bay, Sliema promenade, bars and restaurants, casinos, cinema, bowling alleys, nightclubs, Sliema and St Julian’s shopping centres, and the public transport network with buses running every 5 minutes. Our property was finished in 2011 and the Twin Rooms and Private Apartment are both newly furnished and provide a comfortable place to stay whilst on holiday at an affordable price. A full English or Continental breakfast is provided each morning throughout your stay and may be enjoyed upstairs with the family or in the private front or backyard; whichever is to your liking. For a weekend break, a short or long let we are sure you will enjoy your stay with us here at 'Tranquillity'.
We have lived in St Julians for the past 4 years now. I am a Lecturer and my wife Sarah is a Nurse and we have twin boys, Matthew and Luke, aged 8.
We have been hosting guests and English students since the very 1st day we moved in 5 years ago.
We are a close knit family, we enjoy outdoor activities together, travelling when we can, swimming and spending what time we do have doing things as a family.

We bought this property because we loved the location, the size and what the property has to offer. We are located in a peaceful location yet minutes away from St Julian’s and Sliema.
We bought this property in 2010 in shell form meaning we had to do all the internal works i.e. water and electricity, plastering, painting, tile laying and furnishing. It took us one year to finish this property and we are still till this day finishing the finishing touches to our property.
We called our home 'Tranquillity' as it is in such a quiet location and very peaceful.
If you decide to stay with us the benefits of doing so are numerous. The property is fully and newly furnished making your stay with us a comfortable one.
Malta can be a condensed place to stay but being located in the Valley there are no properties on the opposite side, just the valley. With plenty of open space and fresh air your stay will be a relaxing one.
Breakfast, airport transfers, wi-fi internet access, linen, bath towels, maid service, utility costs, cleaning of the apartment and twin rooms are all included in the price.
We live on site so if you have any requirements or need help we are always here for you and we always do our best to accommodate the needs of our guests
From the moment this holiday was booked we had great communication from the owner Mark. On arrival we were met at the airport despite being two hours late. We were a group four ladies attending a wedding. On the way to the property we were given a tour so that we could get our bearings. Then when we arrived we were overwhelmed by not only the apt but the extra things that had been supplied. Water, wine, crisps, milk, tea, coffee, cakes and all you could need. Honestly we were bowled over. The apt was beautiful. And the beds and pillows made for a good nights sleep. As for the breakfast....delicious is all I can say. A great choice offered. The location was perfect. Close to all amenities but in a quiet location. A bit of a walk but nothing too much. And we are all in our 50's. Finally when we said we would do our own breakfast the day after the wedding all we could need was placed in the fridge. Fantastic! Its also worth noting that water and toilet rolls were constantly replenished.
If you are looking to stay in Malta I can't recommend this enough. A beautiful family providing the best for their guests.

Apartment was spotless and well maintained. Mark and Sarah were very friendly and accommodating and went out of there way to tend to our needs. Ideal location as it was only a five minute walk to Spinola bay, where there is a bus stop with an excellent service to get you around the island which we took full advantage of. The apartment has every facility you need just like a home from home including cooking utensils. I would defiantly stop there again and recommend this apartment to others.
We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which was tastefully renovated and in beautiful shape. The bathroom was clean, modern and had good hot water pressure. The kitchen was well stocked, as was the rest of the apartment. The hosts were lovely and provided any information that we needed.
The real icing on the cake, were the extra perks provided by the lovely hosts. Upon arrival there was bottled water (which was replenished), a welcome bottle of wine, and fresh fruit on the table. They provide a multitude of choices for your breakfast, including fresh chocolate croissants! Every few days they refreshed the towels, and they even let us do a load of laundry during our stay.
There was air conditioning (which we didn't need to use in May) as well as fast, reliable wifi.
The location was easily walkable down to the Spinola Bay area, or with a bit further of a walk (about 15-20 minutes) to the beach area at St. George's Bay.
We would highly recommend this apartment and would stay again when we return to Malta.
A very well maintained property, clean, regularly serviced, comfortable bed with all necessary mod cons and more. Owners extremely friendly on hand if required, providing lots of information about Malta. Our breakfasts were amazing, great selection, well prepared with a personal touch. A very pleasant easy walk into the main part of St. Julian's from the house. St. Julian's the best area in Malta, great shops, restaurants and waterfront. The Feast of St. Julian's a highlight of our visit a great celebration. Overall the service was far beyond expectations and the accommodation lived up to its name by being very quite and restful. Highly recommended.
2nd time staying at Tranquility. The apartment is a great base to explore the Island. It is a few minutes walk from St Julians which is always busy and has a number of great restaurants. The apartment itself was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The fridge was stocked with water and milk and fresh fruits were provided at no extra cost. We chose the breakfast option for our stay. Mark and Sarah provided a continental or a cooked breakfast. They were very flexible with our dietary needs and accommodating when we wanted to eat breakfast in the apartment. We hired a car for our stay. There is ample parking available.
Overall we were very happy with our stay and Mark, Sarah and the boys made us feel like family.

The photos do not do the apartment justice. The property was very clean and all facilities are available if you're on a tight budget and want to eat in and relax. Great location and only 5 minutes from a vibrant St Julians' centre.
There is a great advantage to living next door to these owners. They are a great friendly family who went out of their way to make our stay unforgettably enjoyable. Their knowledge of Malta is vast and they recommended many great days out and good restaurants. Better than any guide book.
An added bonus is that breakfast is also included with a choice of Continental or Full English which can be varied each day.
We hired 2 cars and there is adequate parking opposite the apartment.
We would recommend this apartment to friends and family as it was a perfect stay and is central to the island. We hope to stay again.

Rocky and sandy beach 6 min walk, all others under 25 min drive. The pristine clear Mediterranean sea surrounds the Island shimmering and inviting to enjoy a most relaxing swimming in dark blue deep or light blue sandy shallows as seen in many advertising we guarantee. Water skiing and diving is available most months throughout the year.
Malta International Airport, 15 min drive. Comino or round Malta day cruise 10 min bus pick up. Sicily and Mt Etna daily sailings fast ferry, 15 minutes drive
Gozo Channel, 35 min drive. Cruise Terminal, 15 min drive. Car hire is not essential, buses are just 5 minutes walk.
Short distance to all amenities and even to other villages. St Julians is in the centre and the house is just 5 minutes walk from the most central square near the promenade where many buses to anywhere go direct.
Supermarket 5 min walk. Banks: HSBC is everywhere. Favourite restaurants: Sushi, Greek, Chinese, Turkish, Italian, Thai, Indian,- Local Maltese fresh fish and- Mc Donalds, Pizza Hut, Burger King, too much to mention. All 10 mins walk. Water park - Splash and Fun park - 10 mins drive or bus. Water sport - hire of jet skis, surfers and boats 7 mins walk. Bowling 10 pin - bowling alley 6 mins walk. Child care facility - walking distance. Discoteques - Axis. Cinema - Eden Cinemas, 16 screens including Imax . Horse riding - Marsa, Bidnija, Golden Bay. 15 - 20 min drive. Horse racing: Marsa Horse track - 15 min drive Fri/Sat/Sun. Waterpolo- National pool 5 min drive. Shooting - Ranges 20 min drive. Jogging - promenade 10km starts, 5 min ends 1 hour. Walking- promenade exends From St Julians to Ta Xbiex 10km. Walking long distance starting from urban to rural countryside and coast different walks going south or north. Prices are based on 2 persons staying in the apartment. A 25% deposit is required on booking and the remainder to be paid in cash on arrival. A 250 euro refundable brokerage deposit is required and this may be paid either at the time of booking or on arrival. All prices stated include breakfast (English or Continental), airport transfers from and to the airport (for up to 4 persons), water & electricity, gas, cable TV, bed linen, bath towels and wi-fi internet access.
Notes on prices:
Prices are based on 2 persons sharing the apartment. Extra persons €10 euros per night. Persons under the age of 16 €5. Infants under the age of 2 are free. If breakfast is not required deduct 10% of total cost.
