As of 15th January 2016 this property was under new ownership. We have made lots of changes to make the cottage more comfortable for our guests including new heating and hot water system and new garden fencing.
Beadnell is situated on the Northumberland Heritage Coast line surrounded by the Castles of Alnwick (Harry Potter fame), Dunstanburgh and Bamburgh. Our cottage is located near to the centre of Beadnell village and is in an excellent position to explore the Northumberland coast. From the rear of the cottage there are spectacular views of the Cheviot Hills along with large open space fields with two horses that frequently come near to the garden wall. Our comfortable cottage is furnished to a high standard and is equipped with everything you need to make your holiday a pleasure. Beadnell cottage has been recently refurbished to a high standard and has a modern well equipped kitchen along with a completely new bathroom, and all bedroom fittings, furniture and carpets newly installed.

Why Martin chose Beadnell
We fell in love with Northumberland 12 years ago and spent several holidays each year around the area. Every time we visit we have found something new to explore. Now we have the opportunity to own a small piece of Northumberland we would like to offer others the chance to discover and enjoy Northumberland as we did.
What makes this Cottage unique
This property has a fantastic location in the village of Beadnell. A sunny enclosed garden with far reaching views. Cottage is homely and unique. Easy walking distance to the harbour, beach local amenities.
Beadnell cottage is in a very quiet location in Beadnell. It is very close to the beach which was great for our dog. The garden is well fenced which is perfect for dog owners and it looks out over fields. Very comfortable and warm.
Well equipped cottage
We stayed in Beadnell cottage for 3 nights. The layout of the property worked well and the kitchen in particular is very well equipped. The garden is also a real bonus. The location is good, close to the centre of Beadnell and an easy walk to the beach. Overall, the property was spot on for our short break and we will definitely consider returning.
Cosy accommodation , excellent for dogs
We stayed 2-5 November 2017 . We really enjoyed our stay . The house is in an excellent location for the beach , only a 5 minute walk away . The children and our dog loved the garden . Comfortable, but minor faults need attention
The area is magnificent, so mixed weather didn't spoil our enjoyment at all. The cottage was fine, though several small issues were a bit of an irritation - electricity cuts due to an aged toaster, door missing from bedroom 2 and not replaced during our stay, external light not working. On the plus side there was good wifi connection, a splendid private rear garden and lots of equipment provided. Overall, the cottage just needs a bit of tlc.
Many Thanks for your review, we would like to address the problems you have raised. Before you arrived we contacted you regards the problem with the door to the spare bedroom which we tried to arrange for the Joiner to visit and repair, this has now been repaired. The toaster was only replaced in July and was brand new. If you had let us know sooner in your stay then we could of replaced it as we have a spare in the Cottage. We are aware of a problem with the outside light and looking to have this rectified once we can book the electrician. We constantly try to provide the best for our guests in our Cottage and try to rectify any issues brought to our attention as soon as possible. We hope the small issues didn't spoil you stay.
everything you could wish for
A lovely clean well equipped house. Location was ideal, beautiful views and fantastic huge beach close by. We also went to Treetops Restaurant in Alnwick which had outstanding food but you do need to book well in advance I would recommend this property and will definitely be back.
Approximately 200 metres to the beach and seafront, Beadnell Harbour and Bay along with the Limekilns within easy walking distance down Harbour Road.
Newcastle airport approximately 45 miles. The North Sea Ferry Terminal located at North Shields just East of Newcastle is about 60 miles away. It is recommended to use a car for transport around the area.
Other places of interest Bamburgh 5 miles, Alnwick 14 miles, Berwick 35 miles.
Seahouse 2 miles away has several pubs serving food, Coop supermarket for every day essentials, Barclays bank with cash machine, several very good fish and chip shops. There are also a number of Italian, Indian and Chinese restaurants with take away facilities. Local trips to the Farne Islands from Seahouses harbour. Lottery outlets for that holiday flutter. There are also special attractions like crazy golf etc in Seahouses. Beadnell has a local shop and fish and chip shop. The Beadnell Towers Hotel, The Craster Arms and Salt Water Cafe / Bistro are all in Beadnell and serve very good food in the bar and restaurant. All have good reviews on Trip Advisor.

Booking Notes: Beadnell Cottage is available to book on a weekly basis throughout the year, however short breaks are available in off peak where shown, for details please contact us for rates and availability. A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required to secure the booking, and the balance is to be paid 8 weeks prior to your holiday. If the booking is made within 8 weeks of your holiday then full payment is requested at the time of booking. We allow 2 small well behaved dogs the cost for this is £10 each per booking. We require an additional Security Deposit of £100.00 to be paid which will be refunded after your stay upon following our conditions. Changeover Day: Changeover day is Saturday. Departure time is requested by 10am and guests arrival from 4pm onwards.
