About Alex Marquez (for English)

We are Santi and Pepe, married with 2 sons. We live in a beautiful white washed village named Alora. I am working as teacher for 3 to 5 year old children (Santi) and Pepe is working in our Villa´s stuff. Besides that, our son Alejandro is involved in our Villa for holidays, as he speaks English as well.

Why Alex Marquez (for English) chose Álora

We bought the land first because of the location, very accessible to town and the lovely views of the town, Guadalhorce valley, mountains and castle. Then it took 2 years to construct and complete the house.

What makes this villa unique

The location has breathtaking views of the castle and the countryside, there is no dirt track so no need to hire a four wheel drive, just any normal car will do. The poolside is so secluded and private.

My experience of this villa has been nothing but joy! Our time here has left us with vast experiences of happiness from enjoying time in the pool to munching into the paella made by our lovely host Pepe. I`ve felt comfortable here throughout and I`m sad our time here has come to an end. Thank you very much for allwing me and my family to stay in this beaurifult villa and I hope we return soon thank you!

Outside: Front terrace with pergola and grapevine with table and chairs, back patio overlooking the pool with table and chairs and 4 sunbeds, barbecue, gardens and picnic table and chairs. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bed linen provided, changed every week. Other: There is an extra dining room which is adjacent to the patio door leading to the pool. Quite handy when you want to stay away from the sun but still have the views of the pool.

Lovely villa, quiet spot, very relaxing.

We were given a very good welcome from Pepe, and from Bob the cat! The villa is very comfortable and was spotlessly clean. The pool area is perfect and has lots of space for people to have a bit of solitude when needed. We also used the BBQ as well, which was great. We have been coming to Andalusia for the last six years so are very used to the area, but it was lovely to discover a new town (Alora) and some great rsstautants.

We made firm friends with the little black cat who eventually came and sat on our laps and had his tummy stroked - if we could have taken him home we would have.

I think my only gripe would be that maybe some sharp knives would be very useful - as a committed cook, even on holiday, I like to try cooking local foods but the equipment was a little sparse, maybe as well as the knives there could be one or two dishes that can be used in the oven.

Overall though, a very pleasant stay in a lovely villa.

Beautiful villa, lovely pool, quiet location. Lovely owner (Pepe). Fabulous family holiday

We pulled up and instantly loved this villa. My wife and I and our kids 9,6,3 were made to feel very welcome by Pepe. Very quiet and private (kids could splash around without worrying anyone). We had daytrips to Gibraltar,Marbella,Torremolinos and found that the villa was really handy for Malaga airport (25 minute easy drive). On our 3rd evening at the villa, we were so impressed that we booked the villa for 2018.

Pepe welcomed us and showed us around and was very approachable throughout our stay. Plenty of supermarkets within 15 mins drive. A car is definitely required in our opinion. Great experience throughout, from booking to arrival and departure.

Very comfortable rural villa well located for exploring Andalucia

We spent a very enjoyable week at Villa la Posta del Angel and have no hesitation in recommending the property. Pepe was charming and helpful, everything from the instructions on how to find the property to our departure day ran really smoothly. We chose Alora as it is well placed for exploring the region, Cordoba and Granada being around 2 hours away with Malaga and Ronda around an hour, so the villa is well located for exploring. The property was very clean and well equipped, the air-con being extremely welcomed at night in the very hot weather. The choice of sunny and shaded outside areas in front of and to the rear of the property are very useful. We used the barbecue every day and the seating areas next to the lovely pool were ideal for sunbathing and for drinks and snacks in the shade. The property has plenty of space and everything you need (though the ironing board has seen better days!) We would say that having a car is essential as the road to Alora is quite busy and I wouldn't have wanted to walk to town on it. Alora itself is quite sleepy but has a supermarket, a fantastic ice cream parlour and the view from the castle is spectacular. The access track in and out of the property is in a poor state of repair and the views are a little compromised by trees and metal poles but these are minor notes. All told we had a fantastic week in a lovely property with a delightful host and we would have no quibbles returning should we be looking for another stay in the region.

Beautiful Villa with stunning view`s of Alora

Had a great holiday in this stunning villa. Lovely pool area, with different area`s around the villa to eat at different times of the day. Pepe & Santi cound not help us enough to enjoy our holiday. The villa had plenty of rooms to move about in for couples or family`s. Would like to return next year.

Fantastic relaxing break!!

I stayed at the villa for a week with our parents and 2 children 6 & 8 and I couldn't recommend it enough, the villa had everything you could need for a comfortable stay, the pool area was amazing and the different seating areas around villa made a perfect to sit enjoy food and drinks no matter the time! My personal favourite was at the front off property very private with perfect views which ever way you looked!

I would suggest a car but like us we were happy to have local taxi if we wanted to go into Alora ect... very reasonable prices and always there within 10mins to collect or drop you off.

The owner Pepe is a lovely man he picked us up from train station and took us to supermarket and back to villa on the day we arrived which was very helpful!

This villas is perfect for anyone that wants there own space but within 5min into town it's clean and has all the home luxury you could want.

Fantastic holiday would love to return.
