Built in 1750 and set in beautiful Somerset countryside, in the Hamlet of North Brewham, the cottage has recently been renovated and furnished to a very high standard. Adjoining the owners house, it features a flagstone floor, wood burning stove, central heating and a modern fully fitted kitchen, with WIFI throughout. North Brewham is on the Somerset/Dorset borders in the beautiful hills above the mediaeval town of Bruton, where the international Art Dealers 'Hauser and Wirth' have recently opened their latest gallery complex which includes the renowned 'Roth Bar and Grill' as well as extensive gardens by designer 'Piet Oudolf'. The nearest pub/restaurant to the cottage is just a mile up the road and there are many more good pubs and restaurants within easy distance. Other local attractions include Stourhead (NT), Longleat, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Wells, Glastonbury, Stonehenge and the beautiful Georgian City of Bath.
We are Richard and Jenny Walsh and have been living in the adjoining house to the cottage for the last 12 years. Originating from London, we lived in Hampshire for 22 years and then moved to Somerset when our children left home. Keen gardeners we love the peace and tranquillity of the area.
Jennifer Walsh purchased this cottage in 1999
We bought the house in 1999 and fell in love with it for its beautiful and quiet location. Also being located on the edge of Dorset and Wiltshire, with lots of interesting places to visit like Stourhead, Longleat and Bath. In 2003 we renovated the cottage that adjoins our house. We have been renting it as a holiday cottage ever since. We have had many compliments from our visitors that have enjoyed the beautiful cottage and surroundings.
Delighful! If there's a nicer Holiday Cottage, I'd like to see it. When we 'Escape to the Country' this is just the style of cottage we'll be looking for. We tried some of the recommended pubs (The Three Horse Shoes, Strode Arms) & weren't disappointed.
Alan & Judi - East Grinstead
We've stayed in several holiday cottages before and this was by far the nicest, cleanest and prettiest. We had a lovely week. Thank you so much Richard and Jenny.
Theresa & Terry Morgan - Hawkley, Hants
We had a wonderful time, there is so much to do. We made the most of every day. Wells Cathedral will be a memory forever. Thank you so much.

Absolutely lovely cottage, immaculate and spotlessly clean. This was our second stay and as good as first. Jenny and Richard are very welcoming and make you feel totally at home. We will definitely be staying again in the future.
