Surely one of the best Bronte Country locations

  • 5 of 5

Susan was very friendly. The house was very comfortable and clean. We slept well in the beds. It was great to have 3 bathrooms- one downstairs. I loved the house so much we intend to go back.

It was a pity the pub in the village was closed for refurbishment- hope it's open next time. There are lots of places to visit in the surrounding area. Skipton is very close with lots of shops. Lots of historical sites to visit- and our daughter was delighted with our visit to the former home of the Bronte family.

hidden gem

  • 5 of 5

Lovely renovation of a barn, everything tastefully done with quality timber work.plenty of storage space, very quiet area, no traffic noise and just the place to relax. I would certainly go again, and the only negative comment I would make is, because my partner has bad arthritis the wooden stairs were not ideal, but I did mention that to Keith.

If you don't have a problem with the stairs the barn is superb and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Beautiful barn conversion

  • 5 of 5

This is the third time that we have stayed at Beckside Barn and we had another fantastic holiday here. The barn is in a lovely location with plenty of walks nearby and the Yorkshire Dales and Skipton are a short drive away. The accommodation is very spacious and well maintained, and includes everything you would need to make it a home from home. The owners are very welcoming and helpful and there were books provided by the owner of walks and other things to do in the area. We will definitely return for another holiday here and would recommend this property to others.

Better location than we imagined . . .

  • 5 of 5

Beckside Barn is a clean, comfortable, well equipped cottage fitted out and furnished to a very high standard. Information provided about the cottage and area is amongst the best we've come across. Beckside has pleasant gardens and is a convenient base for exploring this part of Yorkshire/Lanacashire. Susan and Keith provided a lovely welcome, and their clear instructions ensured we arrived - although in the village, the cottage is a little tucked out of the way - part of its charm. Lothersdale is an attractive but 'real' village set in beautiful countryside. Close by are many interesting places to visit - we feel as though we have barely explored the area. Good welcome, comfortable accommodation, lots to do - we'd certainly visit again. Only downside for our visit was that the nearby pub was closed for refurbishment - we'll have to return if only to sample the local. Thankyou Susan and Keith for providing such a nice place to stay.

Perfect.

  • 5 of 5

Well appointed holiday cottage in a beautiful part of the country, close to the Pennine Way. We spent 2 weeks here and nothing was too much trouble for owners Sue & Keith who live in the adjoining house. Good walking from the property, and also well placed to explore the surrounding area including Skipton, Ilkley and Malham. Lothersdale is a pretty village, in a rural setting, but close enough to Skipton for food (and other) shopping.
