The location of this very well appointed 1 bedroom ground floor apartment with A/C and Wi-Fi, can sleep up to 4, it has an open living room and sunny fully equipped kitchen. The apartment has its own entrance to a private terrace with a built-in BBQ and space for 4 to dine and relax. The pool area is gated and has a decked surround offering sun & shade during the day, laze around the pool on comfortable sun beds or sit in the shade on a swing chair in the garden. This is within a gated grounds with ample parking for up to two cars. The centre of Draguignan is only a 1.6km walk, with its many bars, cafés, restaurants, shops, banks, theatre and a very busy street market twice weekly. This is an ideal base for discovering this wonderful area with the coast being only 32 km or inland to the many Provençal hill tops village or just come and relax.

The location of the apartment is a very good base to discover the surrounding area. The apartment is roomy and very comfortable with the add extra of an outside eating area and the use of the pool, loved to take a dip in the pool after a day sight seeing. May 2011



WE stayed at the apartment in August, so pleased to have the A/C and the pool. We walked into Draguignan a few times as it's not far for our morning coffee. This is a wonderful area to visit. 2011



The couple who own the apartment are very friendly, although the pool is sheared with them, they never used it while we were at the apartment. The apartment is very comfortable having everything we needed, we would highly recommend this for a holiday.

Draguignan was originally a Roman fort built on the hill which is now dominated by the distinctive 17th century clock tower with its wrought iron campanile, and a splendid view of the region from the top. The name Draguignan comes from the Latin word draco, meaning dragon - according to the legend pilgrims on their way to the monastery at Lerins were frequently frightened by a dragon in the misty marshes surrounding the town. The dragon was slain by the hermit, Hermentaire, whose statue can be admired in the church of St Michel. On boulevard John Kennedy is the American cemetery, last resting place of 861 soldiers who died in the 1944 landings, with a memorial showing a bronze map of the troop movements.

Outside: To the front of the apartment is your private gated terrace and BBQ, from here you can gain entrance to the sheared pool, which also is gated, therefore safe for children, the pool is one level at 1.40 deep, around the pool are sun beds for you to enjoy. By the entrance of the apartment is a table and chairs and a large canopy for shade from the afternoon sun. Utility Room: Washing machine in the garage. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment is fitted with air-conditioning. All linen is provided including pool towels. There is a end of stay service charge of 40€.
