The property was exactly what we expected from the photographs.
The holiday started with us being met at the house and shown around. The weather was superb throughout the week apart from one day. We used the pool each day so had a great holiday. Don't like the way the Italian's drive which would put me off going there again.
Great location in the country
Lovely property in the country, but convenient to Ceglie Messapica, Alberobello, Locorontondo, Matera and other great places to visit. The setting was lovely and the property was just as represented in the VRBO listing. The property manager Sharron was responsive and helpful in recommending restaurants, groceries and tourist sites. We were very happy with our stay at Trullo Adagio. We highly recommend this property for a stay in Puglia.
This is 5 star plus if you want unbelievably helpful owners and managers. The property is in a rural location but only 10 mins from the nearest town. The supermarket at ostini is 20 mins away but has a great selection of high quality products. The Trullo had everything we could want with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a great pool and the outdoor space is your living room. Just loved every minute.
Great holiday and location
If you're looking for luxury then perhaps this isn't the place for you but it's interesting staying in a Trullo and this one is very well equipped and just right for exploring nearby towns and beaches. Help and local information is readily available from Martin and Sharron. For anyone who hasn't travelled in this region before and is using a rental car, don't accept any free upgrade to a larger car - the roads are narrow and sometimes single track!!!
A fantastic private haven
A very peaceful, private trullo. Well equipped, peaceful place to stay. Relaxing in the grounds, swimming in pool, would recommend this to anyone who wants a break away from it all.
Beautiful trullo in lavender heaven
Gorgeous property. Incredibly well equipped with lots of thought given to holiday makers needs.
We travelled with 2 children (11 and 13) who spent most of their time in the pool, which is both clean and big enough for a proper swim.
The lavender surrounding the pool attracted some of the prettiest butterflies we have ever seen and the scent was nothing short of heavenly. Be sure to creep out at night to lay next to the lavender and look up at the stars. (Spotting the bats was fun too!)
If you can steal yourself away from lazy days by the pool, beautiful towns like Alborobello and Lecce are within easy reach.
We visited beaches on the Adriatic and Ionian coast and whilst they were lovely, they were incredibly busy during August. We therefore spent more time than we'd originally planned 'at home' at the trullo.
Sharon and Martin were fantastic managers; really friendly and armed with plenty of local information.
We would thoroughly recommend this property.
Coast/Beach: You are also close to the sea with the Adriatic coast 20 minutes away (Costa Merlata, Pilone, Torre Canne) and the Ionian sea 40 minutes. Travel: Trullo Adagio is 40 mins from Brindisi or an 80 mins from Bari, the region is easily reached by Ryanair flights from London Stansted as well as regular flights from LHR to Brindisi via Rome and Milan. We recommend that you hire a car due to location of the property. Distances: The trullo is situated near the historic towns of Martina Franca (11km) and Ceglie Messapica (5km). Ostuni, is just 16km. Alberobello - the trullo village is a 25 min drive. Further Details: The towns of Martina and Ceglie are well served by banks, supermarkets, shops and restaurants. The virtually undiscovered region is rural with historic towns perched on the top of the many hills, painted white to reflect the glistening sun. Puglia is Italy’s largest olive oil producing region with olive trees in every garden it is easy to see why. Martina Franca has a local market every Wednesday and on Saturday in Ceglie selling locally produced goods from fresh fruit and veg, to clothes and shoes. The sun in July/August can be very strong, but with the weather being pleasant from May through to October there is plenty of time to explore this beautiful region.
