Sharon Jones purchased this Cottage in 2002
Why Sharon Jones chose Gueltas
We bought this property originally as a holiday home because of the scenery, the silence and the proximity of the canal, but we loved it so much we all moved out here permanently in 2006 and still love the area just as much. We love the walks along the canal and in the woods as each day seems to be different, and so much bird life, as well as red squirrels, deer and wild boar!
What makes this Cottage unique
The cottage whilst attached to the rest of the property with a barn in between is completely self contained with a private west facing fenced garden.

A very relaxing stay
We very much enjoyed our holiday at Gueltas. The gite was very comfortable and well equipped and the garden large and very private. We were lucky with the weather which enabled us to explore the attractive countryside around and we particularly enjoyed the canalside walks nearby. Sharon and Peter were welcoming and helpful - thank you very much!
Super place to stay, the grandkids loved the pool and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend to family and friends.
Tranquil relaxing location in rural Brittany
An excellent property - the owners have thought of everything to make it a great holiday home for all the family. It’s proximity to the canal is great. The garden is wonderful and the location is rural and peaceful - great place to recharge the batteries.
Thank you for your review. It was lovely to meet you both and we are glad you enjoyed your stay.
Lovely house, peaceful & good location
A lovely house and garden that was great for the kids as well as a decked area for sitting out and enjoying a BBQ. The kids also loved the pool & inflatables, not to mention the swing ball, table tennis and other games provided.
The house is in an ideal location for exploring nearby towns and other activities. The setting is relaxed and peaceful and a great retreat at the end of the day.
The owners are on site and happy to give advice and recommendations if you would like them, but equally leave you in peace if not.
We had a lovely stay!
It was lovely to meet you all and we are happy that you enjoyed your stay.
Beautiful location and very well equipped
This is a beautiful property with lovely owners. Gite is very comfortable and homely with lots of outdoor space which is lovely and private. Peter and Sharon are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The gite is one of the best equipped we have stayed in and includes a variety of games for the children to play both indoors and outside. Girls loved the swimming pool and the fact that it was heated was an added bonus, the only drawback is there is nowhere to sit by the pool when the children were swimming and they have to be supervised whilst in the pool. WI-FI is very good (a must with a teenager!) and overall it was a lovely place to stay and relax.
Thank you so much for your review, it was a pleasure to meet you all and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Your comments about the pool seating have been taken on board and we add it to our list for next year.
Beautiful and relaxing spot

Our cosy gite is ideal for christmas with a wood burning stove and heaters in all rooms, walks along the canal just 200 metres away, and roasting chestnuts from the garden on the barbecue.
