It was an immediate decision to live on the best beach in Maui- if not the World. Everything you would want is within walking distance of the Whaler. Regardless of age it is the perfect place to spend a holiday.

The Whaler in Kaanapali is a perfect location! Unit 708 met our every need!!! It is beautifully decorated with all the amenities of home. It was very comfortable for me and my spouse. We appreciated having two bathrooms. This unit has a bedroom, with a sliding glass door to the balcony. The comfortable living room/dining room area also has a sliding glass door to the balcony. We enjoyed quiet evenings on the lanai every evening. The pool is also very nice, offering a towel service and is able to to provide snorkeling equipment and boat tours. We look forward to our next vacation to Maui and plan to stay in this unit again
This was our second trip to Maui and we knew right away that we wanted to find a condo instead of the usual resort room. We stayed down the beach last year and while it was nice, we were ready to have more space and better views. Our search had finally ended when we saw this condo! The pictures do not EVEN begin to give the view justice. Dealing with Barbara was as easy as it comes, and she was so helpful in answering all of our questions before our arrival. The place was so comfortable and clean, we were extremely impressed with how well taken care of it is! The lanai was our FAVORITE part of the condo, if we could have lived on it we would have! The views are outstanding and you get to not only see the ocean but the beach as well, not many locations give you this view, and it was worth every penny. We spent our days at the beach using the beach chairs that were in the room, they worked out perfect! The only thing I can complain about it is that we didn't stay long enough! We hope to return soon and when we do we will no doubt be staying here!
We spent 9 days in unit #708 (from 9/28 to 10/7/12) and loved it. We went to Maui to celebrate our 1st anniversary and we were not disappointed. We have been to Maui 5 ot 6 times, but this was our favorite stay! It is a great and comfortable condo and having 2 bathrooms was wonderful! The beach view was great and we had full view of Black Rock, the divers and Molokai. The sound of the ocean was delightful and the pool was very nice. Working with Barbara (the owner) was easy and very pleasant. She answered all my questions and was very personable. The listing description is accurate and the condo looks the same as the photos. The unit was very clean and the king bed was very comfortable. The Whaler location cannot be beat. Whaler's Village is right next door and it has tons of shops and many food options. We will be sure to book the same unit again when we return.....but next time we will try for 2 full weeks! I highly recommend this side of the condo building because it has privacy and shade in the afternoon. It was tough leaving this little slice of paradise! It has been over 20 years since staying at The Whaler. Barbara's unit show what detailed, loving, attentive care will do for a unit. When you walk in you will be more than satisfied that the description is all that you expected. From the view off the lanai overlooking the beach and Black Rock to the sound of the waves at night and birds awakening you in the morning, all will make you want to buy the place on the spot. And the owners are terrific to work with being helpful and answering all questions. If you want a 1-bedroom unit that sleeps up to 4 then don't bother looking any further than unit 708.
We spent 2 weeks in #708 and enjoyed every minute. It is lovely, comfortable, and has a great view of the beach, Molokai, and the mountains. The sound of the ocean waves was downright therapeutic. The owner was a pleasure to work with. The listing description is accurate as are the photos. If anything, it is even nicer in person. The unit is spotless.The Whaler location is wonderful. We enjoyed the beach walk, the Whaler Village shops, and the beach front restaurants (especially Leilani's hula pie and fish tacos). I recommend this side of the condo building because it has more privacy and shade in the afternoon, and a fantastic view of Black Rock (which is torch light every night).The view from the inside units, overlooking the courtyard and pool, is very nice but when you go out on your lanai you are staring across at all the lanais of the opposite tower (and they at you!). We really liked #708 and its location in the building. After 2 weeks of thoroughly scouting out all the hotels and condos on the beachwalk, we were very pleased we chose #708 at The Whaler. We had a rental car, drove to other parts of Maui -- up to Kapalua and south to Wailea -- and we really liked Kaanapali Beach better than any of the others. Some of the activities we enjoyed include whale watching on Teralani catamaran, the Atlantis submarine, road to Hana with Valley Isle (highly recommend not driving it yourself), day trip to Oahu, Lahaina, the Feast at LeLe, bobbing around in the ocean and relaxing. Would return in a heartbeat if it wasn't so far away. *s*i*g*h* You can not go wrong here. We are still playing our Hawaiian CD with steel guitar music.
This condo is exactly as advertised. The furnishings are top notch, the bed is very comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need including a corkscrew, the lanai has to be the biggest on Maui. The views are wonderful and it's very peaceful being on the northside of the building. The condo was very clean including the bathrooms and again stocked with everything you could need. We have been to Maui many times but always stayed in hotels this was a welcome change away from all the crowds and having Whaler's Village next door makes shopping and dining very convenient. We love the property, we love the location and would definitely stay here again.
