About Jonny Welch
Hi there - we are the Welch family and we have owned our house Casa Corviello since 2003. We spent 2 years renovating the house and putting in the pool and since then have enjoyed years of wonderful family holidays with our two children.
Jonny Welch purchased this Farmhouse in 2003
Why Jonny Welch chose Gualdo
The house and pool are secluded and not over looked and the garden has slowly matured over the years and now has wonderful trees, hedges and plants. There is a huge lawned area complete with big inset trampoline for little ones (or big ones!!). The pool has a shallow and a deep end with a diving-board which is enormous fun. The pool is not fenced off but we do have pool safety alarms should you have any young non-swimmers in your party. We also have an outdoor table tennis table and table football to keep those teenagers busy.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
The local area is beautiful and very rural - surrounded in historical villages and stunning views from all around. There is lots to do, particularly in the summer, with medieval festivals, great cycling, walking in the sibillini mountains, local markets, trips to the seaside (about 45 mins away) and of course great Italian Restaurants with the most amazing food and local wines at unbelievably good prices !!!

Damage and incidentals
Beautiful, well organised and attractively furnished property. Many home comforts.
We were two families of 5 staying for one week. We found the property very clean, modern and comfortable with provisions such as ice and filtered water, wine fridge, bean bags by pool, comfortable furniture and a beautiful, practical, well planned kitchen with all cutlery and crockery you could possibly need...including cocktail glasses! The pool is clean, deep and has diving board. The trampoline, garden, pool, table tennis and table football are all visible from the seating area outside kitchen, where there are comfortable chairs and a dining set to seat 10. There are beaches 1 hr away and a beautiful lake with pedals/kayaks/zip wires about 40 mins away. We had a very relaxing time here. The photos do not do the house justice, it feels a lot bigger especially kitchen and lounge area.

Great House Lovely Setting
Wonderful setting. House very well done to high standard. Beautiful building. Great kitchen, good internal sitting room and outside loggia and BBQ Lots of games. Pool with board great fun and deep keeping it cool and safe to dive. Gualdo close by with all you need. Lovely historic hill top towns around. Paragliding and aquapark not too far away. Very nice house keeper who quickly sorted minor issue with water we had.
It is a fair drive 3 hrs from Rome but roads fairly clear. We were there in exceptional heat and generally dolid build keeps you cool but top floor rooms were hot without any aircon. Otherwise bedrooms and bath rooms all clean modern and pleasant with comfy beds and good linen. Would recommend unless aircon a key luxury for you or v young children and you want a gated pool.
Thank you Patrick.
For those who prefer a shorter drive to the house, Ancona is just an hour away and Perugia about 90mins.
If there is a heatwave, such as right now, it can get hot on the top floor and I would agree aircon would be a 'nice-to-have'.
Usually it's not required but I will look in to some options.
Thank you for your review !!
Fantastic place for a family holiday
We had a brilliant holiday at Casa Corveillo. It is in a wonderfully peaceful part of Italy and easy to find from Ancona Airport. The house is beautiful and stylishly decorated with a stunning new kitchen which has everything you could possibly ever need.
The pool was amazing and we spent most of our week relaxing and playing table football and table tennis in the garden. Nearby restaurants are friendly and the food wonderful. A great place for a relaxing time away.
Thank you so much for your lovely review.
We are so please you enjoyed your stay at Casa Corviello !!
Casa Corviello by the C-B Family
What a lovely part of the world. A place you can completely relax in and forget about the stress of normal working life. The Property itself works well for families and our children had a great time. The local town is very family friendly and we felt very comfortable letting them explore on their own. The local food is amazing and incredibly good value. If you fancy a change of scene there are beaches and mountain lakes within an hour drive.
The scenery is breath taking and if you like exploring there are some incredible walks off the "beaten track".
There is also a huge amount of Italian culture and a deep feeling history with local Roman excavations and Medieval Towns with summer Festivals. Macerata is well known for its Italian Opera and is a 40 min drive.
The villa is beautiful and well designed for family life.
I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic taste of Italy
Dear Lisa and family
We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay.
Thank you for your 5 star rating.
It really does mean a lot to us.
We wish you well and an enjoyable remainder of your summer holiday

Special interest holidays:
Walking: The area is famed for amazing walks in the Sibillini Mountain area. There are signed routes around the area and particularly from Sarnarno, a short drive away (9km).
Cycling: Bikes from carbon road bikes to mountain bikes can be hired in Gualdo and delivered to the house. If you love cycling hills with amazing views, and enjoy coffee and cake you're going to love this area.
There are 2 mountain bikes at the house that can be hired for a small weekly fee
There are beaches at Numana, Lido di Fermo, Porto San Giorgio all within a hours drive. Plenty of others line the coast line, some more suited to the young and other typical family beaches. The thing to do is try them all until you find the one that suits you best. Usually busy during July and August but great for the kids with play parks and games areas. The sand here is wonderful. Food available all along the coast.
Ancona Airport 1 hr 20 mins by car. Perugia airport is 90 minutes by car. Pescara Airport 1 hr 50 mins by car. Rome Airport 3 hrs by car. Bologna Airport 3 hrs by car. Car hire, or use of car, is essential.
Gualdo, only 3 minutes away by car and San Ginesio and Sarnano only 10-15 minutes away by car, are all beautiful medieval hilltop towns. Sarnano is the most popular, bustling with shops and coffee bars - a great meeting place. All have a market day (mornings only) with something different to offer. Macerata, famous for its opera festival is 30 minutes away by car. The Sibillini mountains are only 25 minutes away by car.
Gualdo has a bank, bakery, pharmacy, butcher, filling station, greengrocers, two bar / Restaurants and two mini supermarkets. Gualdo also has a tennis court. Da Cicco' in Gualdo is a restaurant open for lunches and dinner and serves wonderful, typical Italian food - limited menu but inexpensive. San Ginesio has much the same but Sarnano offers a greater choice of restaurants and shops. Marche Voyager is the best website for discovering where to go and what to see in Le Marche.
