Guestbook comments from the manager

Sue & Nigel, Stratford upon Avon, UK - June 2013

Absolutely 5 Star from start to finish. A very safe, reliable, systematic method of reservation/payment/deposit collection etc. Annie in Admin UK has lived in Turkey so has first hand experience. Is very professional but friendly and approachable and can answer all questions.

Ian, Julie & Family - Warrington UK - May/June 2013

We have stayed in Yalikavak many times over the past 5 years, but Lazy Dayz is far and above the best villa we have chosen to stay in so far. Peninsula Villa Care are also a fantastic letting agent in terms of their communication and after sales/support. Booking a holiday independently from a tour operator can be stressful, with often very little comeback once you have booked and paid, however we have found Peninsula to be extremely personable and helpful at all times – so much so we have booked to go back through them for the summer and will almost definitely book again next year.

We had a fantastic three weeks at Lazy Dayz villa - the views are stunning and the villa is very well equipped. Top quality fixture and fitting and gorgeous bathrooms. The service during booking with Annie and when we arrived by Sara was second to none. Sara was on the end of the phone for our entire stay and nothing was too much trouble. We'd recommend using Annie's company for booking your villa - for peace of mind and security when making payments AND excellent customer service.

Clean, spacious and well maintained villa

  • 5 of 5

We loved the Lazy Dayz villa in Yalikavik. It was spacious, modern and well set up for families with young children. The different levels offered some privacy and lots of shade (and sun if you wanted it!). The villa itself was well maintained and the villa manager was extremely helpful whenever we needed assistance.

This is the perfect villa for a trip where you just want to lounge by the pool and relax. The only draw back is that it is not walking distance to local shops/restaurants especially if you have small children. We ended up needing to take minibuses whenever we left to allow for space for multiple adults and car seats. A rental car (or multiple rental cars) is suggested.

A lovely villa

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time at Lazy Dayz. The house is lovely as is the pool. Great views over Yalikavak from all the bedrooms and the multiple decks and balconies. Sara the villa manager was lovely and couldn't be more accommodating. I'd definitely recommend to any and all. Thank you!

Ah those wonderful views!

  • 5 of 5

Ah those wonderful views across the Aegean towards the marina and beyond. Or in the early evening, when the sky turns from yellow to orange and then finally to a crimson glow before night falls and the lights start to sparkle around the bay - a regular treat from the various balconies of this villa. Set on three levels, the villa was clean, spacious and well equipped to accommodate three couples or a large family comfortably.

The local town of Yalikavak is just a short drive away or perhaps take the dolmus, which passes along the road just outside the villa every 30 minutes. There you will find some great bars, shops and restaurants, whether it be traditional charm of the old town and harbour or opulent sophistication of the new marina, it's all there.

This year we made a new friend, Captain Izzet Tepe, who took us out on his gullet, Ispita. A great day out for the family, swimming, snorkelling and diving into the clear blue waters of the Aegean. But above all, this guy makes the best kofte (meatballs) we've ever tasted. Thanks Izzet!

Thanks also to Sara, for being more than just the local villa manager but always there for any help and advice during our stay. And last but not least, thanks to Annie and the team at Peninsula Villa Care, who never fail to find us the perfect villa.

Our extended family of 6 have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Turkey and indeed Yalikavak made all the better by our owners hospitality, the seemless booking process and the villa itself which was everything we hoped for and more.

Everything promised was delivered- we were met on time at the airport and driven to our villa. Upon arrival at the home we were greeted and shown round by your delightful agent despite our late flight. She remained on hand thereafter to assist us which was an added benefit knowing that she would be there if required.

The villa itself was beautiful, immaculately clean and modern with everything to hand including towels, games and videos- just in case!!

It was great to have a 'welcome pack' with all the basics particularly after a long journey so tea, coffee and something for breakfast was perfect particularly if you arrive late like we did.

The internet proved to be a bit hit and miss but to be honest it worked in our favour with 4 people in the younger generation bracket as it meant we enjoyed each others company a little better!!

I have to say that we have used villas a lot but this was, without doubt, our favourite- there is NOTHING for the owners to improve on- they have got everything spot on.

The only issue for us is that if we continue to heep such praise on this villa( like we must) then our chances of being able to go back may be limited- what more can we say!!

Lovely villa, great town

  • 4 of 5

This was our second time in Yalikavak and we were certainly not disappointed. Indeed we are considering a return again next year because we enjoy it so much.

Yalikavak is a multi-dimensional town and that is what tips the balance for us. From the 'swish' of the stunning marina to the numerous beach jetties, from the buzzing traditional centre, with its restaurants and shops, to the more sedate town square, and from the warm and friendly people to the continuously stunning views, Yalikavak should be on anyone's visit list.

Lazy Dayz is a really lovely villa in a good location, though you'll still need a hire car, as you do in many overseas holiday villa locations. The numerous outside seating areas, the amazing views, and the relatively short walk to the little cove are what made it stand out for us and our two teenage children.

The villa has loads of space and has everything you need to enjoy two weeks in the sun. It's very well equipped throughout and Sara, the local contact for a number of properties, dealt brilliantly with any issues. Yes, the villa could do with a bit of an upgrade in a couple of the downstairs areas, but that doesn't detract from everything that's good about it and we, for one, would certainly return. Due to the configuration across three levels, it is probably best suited to adults and teenagers, and not for very young children or anyone with any mobility issues. Great holiday, we were sad to leave it behind!

Car: recommended

There is a small rock/pebble beach at the bottom of the site, ideal for snorkling and swimming. The main beach of Yalikavak is about 10 mins drive away. The quaint village of Gumusluk is about 15 minutes drive in the other direction, with an amazing sandy cove, "rabbit island" accessable at low tide - and several waterside fish restaurants

Bodrum airport is about a 45 minutes drive away. We do recommend car-hire when staying at the villa. Airport transfers are available at a cost of £55 each way for up to 4 passengers and £8 per passanger thereafter.

Yalikavak is 5-8 mins drive away.
