Set within the Kalamar Meltem Apartment residence, the apartments are superbly positioned on a quiet road in the peaceful Kalamar Bay area of Kalkan. The boutique complex of ten privately owned apartments, consists of two buildings separated by two large, salt water, infinity swimming pools, joined by a waterfall. There are large shared terraces, landscaped gardens and barbecue area with sun loungers, tables and umbrellas where you can sunbathe, relax and entertain. The pool area facilities include WiFi, fridge, water dispenser, sink, telephone for local calls such as taxis, outside shower, changing room and wc. There is a roof terrace with a kitchenette, wc and a bar area for relaxing and enjoying the panoramic views. The apartment has been furnished to the highest standard with A/C in all rooms and a modern fully equipped kitchen. The interior is a fusion of Mediterranean and modern design, providing all the comforts of home.

Coast/Beach:

Beach is 180m away, with access to Kulube Club and Kalamar Beach Club, with its blue flag. They have restaurants,bars, sun loungers, umbrellas, showers, direct access into sea. Kalamar Beach Club offers scuba diving, plus other water sports. Free one way transport back to the apartments is available. There is also pretty pebble beach near the harbour. Stunning, sandy Kaputas beach is 15 min drive away. The famous Patara Beach is 18km long and is only 15 min by car or local bus.

Kalkan is approx 1 hour 45 mins from Dalaman International Airport.

Antalya Airport is approx 150 mins.

Airport pick up/drop off can be arranged.

Car hire & taxi service can be arranged if required.

Distances:

A 25-30 min walk will take you into Kalkan centre and the harbour. The nearest cafe/bar & supermarket is approx 5-10 minutes walk.

An approx 15 minute drive will take you to Patara Beach, Xanthos, the traditional mountain village of Islamlar with its trout farms and fresh water from the Troodos mountains. Saklikent Gorge is approx 30 mins away. The town of Fethiye is approx 45 min drive and Kas is only 20 mins away.

Further Details:

There is plenty to do and see around Kalamar Bay e.g. Hammams, spa and aroma therapy services are only 5-10 minutes away. The Kalamar Beach Club and Kulube Club are just 180m away. Kalkan offers a variety of both roof top terrace and harbour front restaurants, bars and entertainment, many with spectacular views of the harbour offering a mixture of regional Turkish/Mediterranean and European cuisine, as well as plenty of shopping and visiting local markets.

The apartment is well placed for visiting many historical sites and walking the ancient Lycien Way, a 509-km marked footpath with its spectacular scenery along the turquoise coastline interspersed with historical reminders of a fascinating past. This part of the Lycien Peninsula is a living museum and you can visit Patara, Letoon, Xanthos and Saklikent Gorge all within 15-30 min drive. Diving, sailing, boat trips, canoeing, kayaking, horse riding, paragliding, historical and archaeological tours can all be arranged in Kalkan.

You can also visit the nearby towns of Kas (20 mins) and Fethiye (45 mins), the mountain village of Islamlar with its trout farms, vineyards and watermill, as well as Bezirgan a traditional mountain village.

Located in a tranquil position with spectacular views, this development has been built to the highest specifications. Antique travertine flooring is standard throughout the apartment. All rooms are fitted with air-conditioning which can be used for winter heating. The apartment can comfortably accommodate 4 people and if required an additional fold away bed can be provided. A welcome pack is provided for guests on arrival. Please note, for the comfort of all our guests, smoking is not permitted in the apartment but is permitted on the balconies and terraces. We can also arrange for you to rent additional apartments or villas, very close by or in the same complex for larger groups. This small, exclusive complex has two large, salt water, infinity swimming pools, with underwater lighting, situated on two levels joined by a waterfall with a small third pool. The pools and terraces are for the sole use of residents of Kalamar Meltem Apartments and their guests. There are sun loungers, umbrellas, tables, chairs and a barbecue area for the use of guests, as well as a shower, changing room and wc. There is also a telephone for renters to use for making local calls either to our representative or taxis. Landscaped terrace gardens and sun terraces will add to your enjoyment. The roof area has a bar from where you can sip your cocktails while watching the sunset. On site maintenance, parking bays, plus plenty of road parking available. Open plan lounge with French windows opening onto large balcony with fantastic views of Kalamar Bay and the islands. Double sofa plus two armchairs. A/C unit. TV with DVD/CD player & satellite. Linen, bath and beach towels are provided. Weekly maid service included. Additional maid service can be arranged for a charge. Pool and sun terraces maintained daily. Refuse is taken away each day. Fresh bread and shopping can be delivered every morning. Balcony has a travertine table with 4 chairs . Ideal for alfresco dining, sunbathing or soaking in the fantastic views.

Kalkan and kalamar have absolutely stunning views, never had a bad day or experience so welcoming!!

The apartment itself does require a few things, a comfy sofa and nice lounging chairs for balcony, a few extra utensils and big bowls would be good also. Couldn't get the DVD working or the coffee maker, a cafeteria would have helped. Overall a great space and the views from the bedroom and balcony are amazing to wake up to and also to watch the sunset! We enjoyed our stay but would say all the villas/apartments are close together around kalamar so you need to bare that in mind when booking. The roof terrace is lovely although no umbrellas up there so no shaded areas really for the daytime and only two sun loungers but there is a bathroom up there which is great, the pool area was great plenty of space for everyone and some great views even with the house right Across the road. For you first time visiting this would be an ideal apartment if you plan to be out every night. Definitely do a boat trip and go out to dinner in kalkan so many great restaurants (Doy Doy and Seaport were our favourites) we will definitely be back to kalkan and kalamar!!!

Amazing view

Such a lovely top floor apartment with the most amazing views, especially from the roof terrace. The pool was great and enjoyed the views too, sometimes we were the only ones using it! Walking distance from a beach club and walking distance from some great bars and restaurants, especially House Kitchen and bar. Twenty minute walk into town. High!y recommend this apartment and we will definitely be back.

Sea, stars and sky

If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy what the Mediterranean has to offer, this is it. Sea TV on your own balcony. Choice of swimming in one of two pools onsite or a dip in the sea from the local access a couple blocks away. Beautiful long evenings, a chance to watch the sunset and witness the stars. And of course, delicious local dining at your whim.

The property was fantastic, the common areas well kept and comfortable. The apartment itself was comfortable and equipped with more than adequate conveniences. And an incomparable view. The meet and greet service was warm and attentive. All was as advertised. We will come again.
