3 bedroom detached villa with private 8 x 4 metre pool and garden. Sleeps 6 max. Large roof top solarium and pergola, a single storey dwelling, Secure private parking. Air-conditioning in main lounge, ceiling fans in all bedrooms. Located in quiet residential area although shops, supermarkets, markets, bars and restaurants are within a short walking distance with the closest area for entertainment being 6 -8 mins away. A local bus service is available to other local areas if no car hired. Local Tourist information office can provide all information of the area. Airport 18 minutes away. Golf courses surround the area. Sports facility only 2 mins away with tennis and soccer, plus child's swing park. Long term rentals are available at very attractive lower weekly rates, contact the owner for details. Villa arrivals by 2pm departures by 10 am unless agreed with owner for a later departure.

About Peter

I bought the villa for my retirement and look after it.

Why Peter chose Elche Area

I was drawn to the area by the lovely scenery like the orange and olive groves nearby and there are mountains in the distance. The local salt lakes attract annual migrating Flamingo’s a pretty site. The beaches are mostly blue flag. Its not commercialized like other areas in spain.

What makes this villa unique

Its a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle though withn a short distance you can find everything you need, its ideal holiday home.

Enjoyed my stay at the villa, sports facility nearby and play areas for the children. The 8m pool was large enough to do a work out, not like some kidney shaped or small pools 6mtrs and under. The garden pool area and solarium are great places to relax. The two large palm trees provide a nice atmosphere for those evenings when dining outside on the Naya with a glass of wine.

Air-conditioning fitted in the lounge. Bedrooms is fitted with ceiling fans. A well landscaped garden with palm and fruit trees and tropical shrubs. Sun loungers, chairs and tables, and umbrellas, with a charcoal barbecue. Villa is alarm protected, electronic access gate lock linked to intercom. Pool has external shower to remove excess sun lotions prior to each pool entry. Extra large roof terrace with pergola shade with table and chairs to enjoy the light breezes. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Washing machine is available, villa is initially cleaned prior to arrival. Upon request additional cleans are available with payment directly to cleaner. Bedlinen and bathroom towels are included,Beach towels are not provided. Bath towels should not be taken to the beach you should bring your own. Note: The owner takes no liability for any loss or accident of any kind by the tenants using the villa. On the Departure Day you must leave the villa by 11:30am unless agreed with owner.

Fabulous villa with excellent amenities

Just back from a brilliant holiday in this gorgeous villa,the children spent the whole 2 weeks in the pool & there's lots of nice bars & restaurants within walking distance,would highly recommend & definitely go back.

5 star villa

We have stayed at Peter's villa for the past two years running and have just booked up again for summer 2017. It's a lovely, spacious villa perfect for a family with children! It contains everything you need and want for a relaxing holiday with an added bonus of a private pool and roof top terrace. Location is excellent as restaurant/bars/supermarket are all within walking distance and the beach, water park and zoo are a short taxi ride away. We love staying here :-)

Residential area but good base, car needed

Met by Maxine who was extremely helpful and welcoming.

The villa did have some issues - the barbecue had been left unclean and still had food in it from previous tenants and the sofas were very worn and in need of repair/replacement and the walls in the living area were peeling quite badly both of which meant I had the broom out regularly to sweep up.

The set up in the living/dining area and round the pool is more suited to 4 people rather than 6 and the additional loungers outside were not suitable for use, being broken or frayed.

Unfortunately we did have issues with the door lock and washing machine and during our stay which in all fairness were resolved within hours. We did find it a bit odd that there was a Wifi router but no wifi in the villa.

Good base for exploring. Quiet during our visit just before the school summer holidays (purely residential area). Would benefit from additional resources for guests such as a welcome pack, more maps of the local area and details attractions.

Car definitely needed.

Owner's Response: The sofas were new however previous tenants damaged them by sitting on them with wet swimming costumes we did place covers on them. Sofas are being replaced for the new season. Things do break down and the washing machine unfortunately did when you were in residence, it's hard to predict but was fixed immediately in hours along with a new door fitted which was jamming with the heat most likely. There was a slow leak in the shower with the drain plug which was leaking into the wall. This was found and was sorted. A car is not necessary as plenty to do locally. But as stated a car maybe preferred, some people like to explore the wider area if so buses are also available. it really depends on the individual.

Lovely child friendly, private villa

Just returned from 8 days at Peters lovely villa. Description is accurate and everything was as described being a really nice home from home. We were met by Maxine who made us very welcome and could not have been more helpful. The villa is perfect for children being totally private and self contained with lockable gates. Pool was fantastic - just what you need on a hot day and with the easy roman steps it was great for our little grand daughter.I had contact from Peter from the minute I booked - he provided all the information we needed including villa and beach directions and even buses to all the local areas. Excellent service from start to finish.

The Villa is on a nice complex which has many bars and supermarkets. The Patagonia Steakhouse is excellent. Local beaches were very good - particularly the ones at Guadamar which were a little more developed than the ones at La Marina.

Nice villa

Just got home from a week in Peters villa had a good time all went well from first contact with Peter till the day we left in a great area for shops and restaurants had a few coach trips to other parts of spain can't wait to go back next year thank you Peter

We have just returned from a lovely two weeks at Peter's villa, wish it was ours!

Everything went smoothly from paying the deposit to handing back the keys. It's a little bit worrying not going through a travel agent but the communication from Peter was reassuring.

The villa is in a quiet residential area, it has everything you need, (including a hairdryer) for a relaxing self catering holiday. The villa was perfectly clean and has been well maintained. Loads of british channels via satellite and a dvd player. The aircon was fine for us we kept the bedroom door open. I suspect in the height of summer it would be insufficient but it would be easy enough to rent a fan.The beautiful pool is cleaned regularly, the pool is very deep at one end, you'd need to keep a close eye on the kids.

There are bars and restaurants, with a variety of cuisines 10 mins walk, there is a largish supermarket here too. If you walk up the road another 5 mins there is another area with more bars and restaurants. If you are feeling lazy there are takeaway menus in the villa :-)

There is a Lidl and Iceland, which sells all the British favourites, a short drive away, you could probably walk but we didn't!

I have no hesitation in recommending this villa.

La Marina and nearby surrounding areas offer multiple activities jeep safari, hang gliding, balloon flights, quad bikes, bowling green, water sports, water parks, horse riding, nature walks and evening entertainment. Tennis , soccer on sports facility nearby fee based. Many tourist attractions in the area.

Coast/Beach:

There are 25 blue flag beaches on this coast line the nearest La Marina beach is only short 10 minute drive away. Some excellent traditional Spanish beach front restaurants on the La Marina Beach sit right next to the water.

Travel:

Nearest Airport is Alicante only 18-20 minutes away from the villa. Meet and greet is provided at the villa or can be arranged from the airport. We can arrange taxis or - please ask for quote. Car hire such as Carjet , budget, Avis etc are available from the airports. British Airways, BMI, Easyjet, Jet2, Monarch and Ryanair all serve Alicante and Murcia airports from the UK. Buses and taxis are available. I do recommend a car hire for this villa.

Distances:

Bars and restaurants within 5 min walk, the nearest town is Guadamar (5 mins away), and with Elche (park of palms), Murcia (gardens and theatre), Cartagena (Roman settlement), Santa Pola, Alicante are within casual drive from the villa by car or bus. Restruants are varied with Chinese, Indian, Italian, English and Spanish restaurants, bars and night clubs, a large hypermarkets and shopping malls within easy reach.

Further Details:

Shops, banks, restaurants, supermarkets and bars all within 6 minutes walking distance. Iceland freezer centre 2 minutes drive. Local bus stop and taxi rank 10 mins walk. Go karting 5 minutes drive. Wildlife park in Elche 20 minutes drive. Childrens play / swing park 2mins away.
