About the property


Murcia is one of the hottest regions in Spain and has only recently seen a boom in development, meaning many parts are still traditionally Spanish. Our properties are situated on the gorgeous Condado de Alhama resort, with the world renowned Nicklaus Golf Trail making it perfect for golf trips and the safe friendly environments meaning families can also have a perfect holiday. Both properties are spacious, clean and well equipped. A large quiet communal pool is available in the community garden and the town center is only a 20 minute walk away. A 20 minute drive to the local port town of Mazarron offers many restaurants and miles of beach. Each property contains English TV and DVD facilities, free wifi, a fully equipped kitchen, plenty of storage space and safes to secure your valuables. Golf clubs are available on request.

About John and Christopher Cox

Living in Ipswich, Suffolk, the driest part of the UK, our son Christopher and myself John decided it was still to cold for 6 months of the year, so we looked to buy somewhere in Spain. I live with my wife Kay and our other son Daniel. Christopher also lives in Ipswich with his wife Maria. To us the apartments are a real family affair.

Why John and Christopher Cox chose Murcia - Costa Calida

We bought the apartments at Condado de Alhama for its location. The Costa Calida is one of the hottest areas of Spain and is still very traditionally Spanish. Surrounded by mountains, there is also a National Park, Cities and fantastic beaches all in easy reach. As well as the Condado de Alhama golf course there are many other courses within 30 km. We want people to enjoy our apartments as much as we do, whether it's for golf or a family holiday.

What makes this apartment unique

Having both apartments up and down gives the availability of 5 bedrooms, so a large family or 2 families can all stay together if they wish. With parking 30 metres away and the swimming pool 50 metres away the apartments are ideally situated. The town centre in the resort is a 20 minute walk, 5 minute cycle ride or 2 minutes by car and the new Condado Club is a perfect local venue 5 minures walk away. You can walk through the gardens which are very lovely, or on the footpath by the road which are all very well lit. There are many good restaurants in the area and the vibrant Spanish seaside town of Puerto de Mazarron is only 20 minutes by car.

Outside: Apartment 7 on the ground floor has a terrace at the back with table and chairs. The sun comes up this way and it is a lovely place to sit and have breakfast. The front terrace has table and chairs and a parasol that gets the sun from about midday, where it stays until you watch it go down. We have a BBQ for the days when you just want chill out.

Great apartment with good facilities

Our family of 5 (children 9, 13 and 15) had a great weeks stay here. The apartment had everything we needed and the pool a very short walk from our apartment.

The owners and local management of the apartment were very helpful and responsive.

Onsite a good selection of restaurants and all important local supermarket for essentials.

We hired a car and had frequent visits to nearby Puerto Mazarron with great beaches and more restaurant choices.

Overall a great week in a lovely part of Spain with fabulous views and would recommend.

Wowed from the moment we walked in......

We found the property immaculately clean, fresh looking, and fitted with nice furnishing, all you could want. The owners were outstanding in accommodating any request, hugely flexible and the apartment is fantastically priced.

Excellent value for money

Clean and pleasant property on a quiet and well maintained resort with good facilities. Apartment is near to pool and within easy drive to coast. Slight problems with TV but didn't go on holiday to watch television. Good accommodation and plenty of outside space. Hard to fault, especially considering the price. Thank you.

The traditional Spanish town of Puerto de Mazarron is the nearest seaside town just 30km away. It has fantastic beaches, a beautiful vibrant waterfront and many restaurants, bars and shops.


Murcia Airport (MJV) is the nearest airport approximately 40 minutes drive away. Alicante Airport (ALC) is approximately 75 minutes drive. A new airport is being built at Corvera which is approx 20 minutes away from the properties. It is scheduled to open in 2016.

A hire car is strongly recommended.


The regions capital, Murcia, is approximately 30 minutes drive away. Another seaside town of Cartegena is also 30 minutes away. Both are nice historic towns with lots to do and see.

Also 30 minutes away situated up in the hills is an old monastery with a nearby hotel and cafe that offer stunning views.

Murcia contains a Zoo and a Water Park which offer excellent family days out. The Sierra Espuna, a beautiful nature reserve, is also 20 minutes away and offers many activities.

Further Details:

The resort contains a well stocked supermarket and restaurants and bars in the 'Al Kasar' town center 20 minutes walk away. The 'Condado Club' bar and restaurant is situated 5 minutes walk away in the center of the Jardines. 10 minutes drive away the resort of Camposol has a number of restaurants and bars, a larger supermarket, general store, bank and bowling alley.
